Chapter 4: 𝐼𝐼

Jason rested his head back on the wall as he closed his eyes and listened to the sound of rain mixed with the soft sound of breathing coming from Lily, who was still fast asleep.

Jason abruptly opens them when he hears a car stopping just outside the cabin. It was probably his bodyguard, Rick.

He called Rick to come and pick him up since he didn't drive here and the storm was yet to calm. Jason then proceeded to text him and inform him that he'll be out in a minute .

He's still not sure what to do with Lily.

He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed then slowly approached Lily and crouched next to her before lightly shaking her shoulders.

"Hey, wake up" Jason said trying to wake her up , he didn't know that Lily was too exhausted to be aware of her surroundings at this point.

"Hey you, lotus or whatever flower you are, wake the fuck up" he tried again , but to no avail.

Jason wasn't a patient guy at all so without wasting any second he placed one hand under her legs and the other behind her head and stood up.

The softness of her legs felt good against his palms and her absolutely amazing smell wrapped around him making him hold his breath.

He shook his head and focused on getting her into the car. It was still raining and her legs were too exposed, he didn't want her to get wet all over again.

He kneeled down again and somehow balanced her on his leg before grabbing his jacket from the floor and draping it over her lower body.

With that Jason made a beeline to the car and abruptly got in with Lily still between his arms.

"Sir" Rick acknowledged him, giving a side glance towards Lily.

"Take us to one of our apartments and don't tell dad about any of this" Jason instructed.

"Yes , sir"

Rick was one of the most trusted bodyguards the king's family ever had. Jason trusted him and that was something rare.

Rick wouldn't inform his parents unless it puts him in danger . He had to check the girl's background first.

He made sure to inform the security at the apartment that Jason is coming so they can be extra careful.

"You're kidding mom , right" Lily mumbled in her sleep.

Jason looked down at the girl that was now laying with her head on his lap and the rest of her body on the seats. Her eyebrows were pinched and she looked distressed.

Jason unconsciously stroked her hair trying to calm her down as she sighed softly and snuggled closer to him.

Now that they're in the car and the outside road lights were hitting her face every now and then, Jason could see her facial features better and she was absolutely breathtaking.

She had a clear glowy skin along with a cute button nose and full soft lips that were slightly puffed now. Her long eyelashes complemented her looks and Jason wanted them to open and reveal her eyes.

He brushed a strand of her shiny blond hair out of her face and smiled at her peaceful expressions. Jason caught himself staring at her longer than he would admit so he averted his attention away from her and looked out of the window to distract himself.

Soon enough they reached the apartment. Jason once again held the sleeping beauty and took her up. Everyone bowed their heads in respect when they noticed him , but he didn't even acknowledge them . He was too focused on getting Lily to the bed and just go sleep.

And indeed Jason placed Lily in one of the rooms ,and even tucked her in, before heading to the next room and throwing himself on the bed.

He slowly drifted to sleep with the strange little Lily on his mind.

Back in the White's residence Lily's parents were worried sick about their daughter. Her mom regretted telling her the truth while her dad tried calming his wife down.

He was more than worried, but Lily had every right to know what's happening. They just have to give her some space. It wasn't easy information to deal with.

The bright morning sunlight sneaked through the window and caressed Lily's face. Her hair was sparkling under the golden sun rays and she looked absolutely heavenly.

Lily yawned and stretched her limbs before slowly trying to adjust to the brightness.

'I forgot to close the curtains again' she thought to herself. But that thought soon left her when she opened her ocean blue eyes that shone under the sun now.

Her eyes panic-ly scanned the room and her mind was going hundred miles per second.

"Where the heck am I?" Lily shot out of bed and held her head trying to remember where she was and how she ended up here.

She rushed towards the bedroom door and opened it quietly. When she saw the coast was clear she slowly tiptoed around the house in an attempt to figure out where she was.

The last thing she remembers was chatting with that boy , Jason. Could it be that he brought her back to his house or even worse kidnapped her.

"Good job Lily! Who in their right mind fall asleep around someone they just met?" Lily lectured herself in a hushed tone.

"I asked myself the same thing" Jason said from behind her , scaring Lily ,who turned around with her hands placed on her heart.

"Jeez you scared me , can't you just announce your presence or do you just like giving people heart attacks?"

"Nah I just like scaring you, bambina" Jason said , smirking.

"Where am I, bambino? " Lily mocked.

"You speak Italian?" Jason asked , surprised.

"No, i just watch a lot if italian stuff"

"Interesting"

"Now are you going to answer my question?"

"I'll think about it" Jason said, walking away from her.

Lily stared at his back in disbelief then followed him " What do you mean you'll think about it?"

"I mean we'll have breakfast and maybe after that I'll answer your question"

"Excuse me , but who do you think you are? I'm leaving this instant" Lily said heading towards the exit.

"Good luck with that"

Lily opened the door only to be met with two bodyguards standing outside the door. One of them glanced at Jason and that was enough for him to understand the situation.

"Miss, I have to ask you to go back inside"

Lily's jaw opened in shock and she turned around glaring at Jason. Before she could open her mouth to give him a piece of her mind he interrupted her.

"Just sit down and have breakfast so we can talk , then you can leave".

Lily bit her tongue and calmed herself down .

"Fine, but I'm only accepting in return for your favor. Don't you ever think that you could control me" Lily said then took a seat in front of him.

"Sure , darling" Jason said with a smirk on his face.

Lily saw that smirk and rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't roll your pretty eyes at me, do I have to teach you how to control your attitude?"

"Shut up" Lily was internally freaking out over the nickname

"What did I say about telling me to shut up hm?"

"Whatever"

"We'll fix that attitude of yours soon"

Lily mockingly smiled at him and took her first bite to distract herself.

Suddenly she stopped mid chewing and her eyes widened.

"What?" Jason questioned as he noticed her expressions.

"Oh no my parents!" How could I be so reckless and forget about my parents? Wow what a great daughter I am, she thought.

"Took you long enough" Jason teased.

"Shu-" Lily stopped herself from telling him to shut up for the third time in past few hours "I need to call my parents they're probably worried sick about me"

"See you're already learning" Jason said referring to her fixing her sentence before handing her his phone " You can use my phone".

Lily ignored the first part and chose to just thank him and call her parents immediately.

She called her mother's number and she picked up the third ring "Mom?"

"Lily? Oh my god honey , where are you?" Her mom's panicked voice made her even more guilty.

"Is this Lily?" She heard her dad in the background before hearing some shuffling.

"Sweetheart?"

"Yes ,dad"

"Where are you , honey? I'll come pick you up , I'm so sorry for everything, please tell me where you are , we couldn't sleep all night not knowing where you are and if you're okay" Her dad frantically asked.

"It's not your fault dad, I'm so sorry for making you worried, I'll be home in a bit"

"I'll come pick you up just tell me where you are"

"No need, dad"

"Okay, sweetheart , we'll be waiting for you"

"Love you ,dad"

"We love you too , honey" and with that Lily ended the call.

"Everything alright?" Jason asked as Lily came back.

"Yeah I just need to go back home"

"Okay, finish your food and I'll drop you off"

"No need"

"I insist" Jason wasn't a guy you'd want to argue with.

"Okay" Lily simply said with a soft smile.

Truth is Lily was dreading the idea of going back home and facing the ugly truth, but she had to eventually.

Jason noticed the change in Lily's mood , but didn't question it. He was already drawn to Lily and he couldn't understand why...  he didn't want her to leave just yet.
