Chapter 313 Make a Scene
As Hendryâs mother, Edith thought that she might as well reach out to Kaylah first. And Kaylah should
be grateful for that.
The more she thought about it, the more she thought it was a good idea. And then, the next day, she
asked someone to find out the address of Suey Vogue.
Kaylahâs company was still very young, but she already had an entire building for office space. And that
building was located in the center of San Francisco. Edith couldnât help but be proud of Kaylah.
If Kaylah and Hendry got back together, the building would be an asset to the Lowery family. It was
something to show off.
Thinking of this, Edith was even more convinced that it was a good idea to come to Kaylah today.
Edith walked to the front desk and said, âI am your bossâs mother. I want to see her.â
The smile on the girl at the front desk, Natalee Lambert, froze for a moment.
Natalee already knew her bossâ parents had passed away long ago. And with this womanâs arrogant
attitude, it was hard to believe she was not here looking for trouble.
Natalee didnât want to be impolite. She asked politely, âExcuse me, madam, who is the person you
want to see? Do you have an appointment?â
Edith frowned. âI am here to see my daughterâinâlaw. Why do I need to make an appointment in
advance? Youâre so unprofessional. Iâll ask Kaylah to fire you immediately!â
Natalee was speechless.
She thought. is this old woman crazy?
Natalee took a deep breath. And then, she said, âExcuse me, who is your daughterâinâlaw?â
âMy daughterâinâlaw? Kaylah! Isnât she your boss? Do you have any other bosses here?â
A look of inward illumination came into Nataleeâs eyes when she heard that.
She thought, so, this woman is here for Ms. Delgado
But as far as Natalee knew, Kaylah had divorced a long time ago, and she was single now. Then she
realized that this woman might be Kaylahâs exâhusbandâs mother.
Natalee thought. so, this woman from the Lowery family. She used to lash out at Ms. Delgado all the
time. And she even once tried to set Ms. Delgado up
Nataleeâs expression changed. The smile on her face disappeared. She looked at Edith and said coldly,
âSorry, Ms. Delgado doesnât have a motherâinâlaw. You might have got the wrong person
