Chapter 245 âKay, what are you nervous about? Iâm not that .
donât need to hold me.â Eduard smiled.
Mikayla rested her head on shoulder and said coquettishly, âJust think that I canât walk and need your help!â
He couldnât help but ask, âKay, are you concerned about something? I feel like youâve changed a lot recently.â
She didnât deny it. âDo you think this is a good or bad change?â
Eduard patted her shoulder distressedly. âI donât need you to be wellâbehaved all the time. You can have any life you wish as long as youâre happy.â
Mikayla felt sore after hearing that. Her eyes turned . He always doted on her and never blamed her for her faults.
âWhy are you crying? Have you been wronged?â he asked.
She wiped her tears shook her head, âNo, I just feel sorry for you. In the past, I only had Jerome in my eyes. I never cared much about you.â
Eduard laughed. âYou silly girl. Iâm happy for you when you have someone you like.â
Mikayla still about to speak when she heard a scream. Then, a motorcycle sped toward them.
Her heart tightened in fear. She grabbed Eduard and ran to the safe street beside them. The motorcycle sped by where they stood. When she was about to let out a of relief, she noticed another motorcycle crashing in their direction.
âGrandpa, watch out!â Mikayla yelled she instinctively grabbed a traffic cone from the roadside and flung it at the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist got smacked in the head and immediately braked. The motorcycle skidded, and the tires screeched loudly against the ground.
The motorcyclistâs helmet had fallen off. Meanwhile, many people gathered around him. He didnât stay but got his helmet and rode away quickly.
âWhatâs wrong with those two people? Here is the pediatric zone! How could they race here?â
âThatâs right! Theyâre so uncivilized. Thank goodness that they didnât hit anyone!â
Passersâby commented in shock.
âKay, are you okay?â Eduard approached Mikayla asked worriedly.
But she didnât react at all. She just stood on the spot with her eyes wide open.
*Kay, whatâs wrong? Are you injured somewhere?â Eduard was so anxious that he nearly wanted to dial the emergency number..
âGrandpa, Iâm fine.â Mikayla stopped him.
William, who had gone to buy something in front, dashed over. He stared at them in confusion as didnât know what had happened yet.
âWilliam, please accompany Grandpa back to the hotel-â
Before she could finish her sentence, she changed her mind. âForget it. Iâd better send you both back to the hotel first.â
When they got to their hotel rooms, Eduard could tell something was amiss with her. âKay, are you okay?â
âIâm fine, Grandpa. Go to rest early. I have something to talk about with Carl.â
Mikayla didnât want Eduard to worry about her, so she dialed Carlâs number in front of him. She told Carl that sheâd like to meet him.
Eduard was relieved when he saw that. âCome back early.â
âYes, Grandpa.â
She left the hotel and got into a taxi. Her hands still trembled slightly.
She had been holding back her fear in front of Eduard. She was already in a panic she recognized the motorcyclist whose helmet had fallen off.
