Chapter 44: XXXXIV - "Plural"

Silent But Deadly// COMPLETED✔️Words: 16904

As I was getting ready for school, I couldn't help but feel contented and happy for some reason. I danced in my shower the whole time, and even danced across my bedroom while I was getting ready, and the thing is, there was no music playing. I felt content and full of joy and I honestly can't remember the last time I felt like this.

Excitedly I ran down the stairs with my school bag in hand and walked down to see the men eating breakfast already and sipping on their coffee. Williams was even reading the newspaper.

Liam wore a grey hoodie, Blake wore white, and Kai wore black; I swear these guys never have any color in them. But I wasn't complaining because I felt content in my plaid skirt, black long sleeve and black jeans jacket with my black vintage leather boots. I really wasn't one to talk about color but it's okay because I felt good and content and happy and joy to the fucking world everyone!

"Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice rest last night!" I beamed before I gave Soldier the go signal.

"Yep, thanks boss," Joe said as he continued to eat his breakfast. More thanks went around the table and I felt utterly good about today. Like today was just perfect with the morning weather, a beautiful and smart dog, and a group of people who respected each other. Right now we were all working together so we couldn't argue or fight because we had to watch each other's asses for awhile.

I noticed Kai wasn't really eating his food but instead poking at it. I picked up my fork and started poking his arm until he looked up at me, "See, if you don't like the poking, then I don't think the food does either," I whispered jokingly.

He chuckled softly and started stuffing his mouth with the breakfast as if he hadn't eaten in days, which was an understatement. Blake and Liam looked at each other and back at Kai in shock before smiling. Liam looked over to me and gave me a thumbs up and I giggled quietly.

"I think we'll head out and start discussing more details about this plan while you guys are at school. Diamonds, thanks so much for the stay, we'll call if we need anything," Ogus said as we walked them to the door.

"Of course, anytime. Keep us updated," I said as I watched them enter their cars and drive away with Williams' car in tow.

I turned to go to the garage when I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Hey, where are you going?" Liam asked puzzled.

"To get my car. You think I drive Robin around everyday?" I asked rhetorically.

I guess they grew skeptical of where I was going so they followed me to the garage where I'm sure they'll drool. I opened the door and felt around for the lights and flicked it on once I felt it under my touch.

The lights flipped on one by one and reflected off of the white walls of the underground garage. Dozens of cars lining each other in all different colors and sizes, all having their own uniqueness. I watched as their jaws dropped at the mass of cars and look at them as if they were in a dream.

"Is this real?" Blake breathed. I told you.

"Yeah, you guys wanna drive one to school?" I smirked as I raised an eye brow.

They all nodded their heads frantically and I laughed, "Go ahead and pick, the keys are in the small box hanging behind each car." At my cue, all the boys raced around the garage, looking for a beautiful car to drive to school and I laughed as they all rushed.

I grabbed the keys to my white Lamborghini Aventador and helped Soldier inside as well. Once all of the guys had found their cars we sped out of the underground garage and headed out to school.

As we pulled into the parking lot, we received a lot of onlookers and saw some even pointing at the vehicles once we parked all together. I rounded the car and let Soldier out and grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder as we walked into the school. The many students still cleared our path and I even heard someone whisper, "That's one lucky dog."

We sat down in our home room and I listened in as Liam, Kai, and Blake talked about the cars and something about sports I don't know. I gave up once I heard Liam say 'titties' and I completely zoned them out. Boys will be boys.

Kai sat next to me and scooted his desk closer to me as I was focussing on my notes. My pen worked as fast as my mind would let me until he lifted my left arm up and laid his head on my desk as I wrote. I smiled at his clinginess and played with his hair with my left as I wrote with my right, and it continued on like this for all of our morning classes. I didn't blame him, he needed all the sleep he could get if he was going to work on this mission.

During classes he would either sleep on my shoulder, lay his head on my desk, or even line up some extra desks together so he could lay his head on my lap. It was ridiculous but cute at the same time, and sometimes his snores would make me jump but I just shrugged them off and continued with work. And every time I had to wake him up, I just dropped my books on to him and he would jolt up and move to next class. It was always funny to see him half asleep with his eyes shot open.

Now, it was lunch time and Kai wouldn't eat because he was so tired, but I wasn't having it.

"No, Diamonds, please let me sleep," He groaned as he pushed away the meaty sandwich. I was being fed up with him and so I grabbed the sandwich and fed it to him instead. After each bite he would lay back onto my shoulder and close his eyes as he chewed.

"Dude, get up and eat before my step sister ends up being so annoyed she shoves it up your ass," Liam warned in a serious tone. Kai sat up in a flash and started devouring the sandwich like a caveman. I mouthed a 'thank you' to Liam and he acknowledged it with a nod.

I felt my phone ringing in my bag and pulled out my gang phone to see Ogus calling. I immediately got up from the table and hurried out the cafeteria doors with Soldier by my side.

"Yo," I greeted.

"Hello Silver, we're with Williams discussing the details of the plan," Ogus said from a distance.

I knew he was on speaker so I spoke to all of them, "And what do you guys need from me?" I asked curiously.

"Well since you were ambushed yesterday, I wanted to know if you had captured anybody and questioned them," he asked hopefully.

"No, we didn't," I heard a various amount of groans from the other line and I continued, "But that doesn't mean I don't have anybody captured at all."

I was met with silence for a couple of seconds until I heard Austin's voice, "So you have somebody in holding?" He asked trustingly.

"Not somebody, some bodies, plural," I said matter of factly.

I heard some sighs on the other line, "We need to question them about a few things, can we swing by after school?" Williams asked.

"What's the magic word?" I teased.

"Please?" They all asked in unison.

"Yes, of course, just don't get yourselves lost on your way back," I warned and I hung up the phone to start heading back to the cafeteria.

"Who was that?" Blake asked.

"Doesn't matter, she's here now and I can sleep," Kai mumbled as he held my waist and snuggled his head onto my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and texted Liam an answer and he nodded in reply.

After lunch I went to history with Liam, science with Blake, and psychology with Kai until I had free period. Kai had apparently needed so much sleep he was going to 'cry' if I hadn't gotten to him sooner. I rolled my eyes at his comment and continued with my work as he slept on my lap again.

By now it was free period and I was sitting on the steps outside of the school again and let Soldier run around the field and roll in the grass. After he was done we went into the library where I got done with the extra work I needed to finish since I wasn't here for two weeks after break, and a couple of homework assignments. I know with my reputation with the boys I could easily get out of these situations and get an easy A, but I actually wanted to learn something from my classes.

A few minutes before the bell rang I headed to Principal Wilson's office to pay him a little visit.

"Diamonds, nice to see you again," he nervously smiled as I stepped in.

"Right back at you dude. Anyways, I wanted to know if you could hand these papers to my teachers after school today. I'm in a rush and I don't want to interrupt their classes," I said as I took a bottle of water from his mini fridge.

"Of course, is that all?" He asked as he looked between the papers to check the teachers.

"Yup, see you tomorrow," I said as the bell rang.

I walked out to the parking lot to see all three snoodges waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. Blake non stop talking to Liam about something probably irrelevant, while Kai looked around almost frantically for something. Soldier barked at the boys as we walked towards them and Kai let out a sigh of relief when he saw me.

"Where we headed to now?" Blake asked as we walked over to the cars.

"The mansion, the others said they needed to question some hostages so we're meeting at my house so I could discuss some things with them," I said as I let Soldier into the car. They all nodded their heads and got into the cars themselves and headed back to my house.

Once we had parked back into the parking garage we went straight up to the house to wait for the others. I don't know why but I started getting nervous as I changed into a normal pair of jeans with my grey hoodie and silver mask, but I guess it's because of the last time I had questioned the hostages. He dared to say the name of the man that I absolutely despised more than Jewels and guess where that got him? Dead, gone, nada, zilch.

"I'm not going to get used to the fact that you're Silver," Blake mumbled.

"And I'm not going to get over the fact that you're seventeen but still act like a two year old," I taunted.

"Hey, this two year old is pretty sexy," he said as he started making flexing poses.

"Whatever floats your boat," I shrugged my shoulders and his jaw hit the floor at my tease and I just laughed.

The buzzer for the visitors rang through the air and I checked the screen next to the door to see who it was. The security footage showed the familiar men and I pressed the button that opened the gate for them and watched as they all drove towards the house. I opened the door open for them to come in and they sat down in the living room where the triple threat were sitting.

"Ok, so why'd we have to meet here?" Ogus asked as he sat down.

I stood between the two sofas and let out a breath, "Because I'm keeping them at my base and I wanted to warn you about some of the hostages. They might say some things and try and get into your head, and maybe even try to convince you of something that's not true. So I'm warning you that you have to be skeptical with their answers and to not let them play mind tricks on you," I warned.

"Who are we even talking to anyways?" Kai asked tiredly.

"The men who tortured our parents," I explained. Kai immediately perked up along with Blake and Liam and stared at me in disbelief.

"You've had them in holding this whole time?" Liam asked surprised.

"Yeah. We've been trying to pry one of them open but they're all tight lipped," I sighed.

"Alright we'll get as much information as we can, let's move out," Williams said as he stood back up and walked towards the door.

Everyone followed him but Kai came up to me tiredly, "Can I ride with you please princess?" He yawned.

"Of course, let's get the car."

After I had pulled out of the garage in the black Range Rover, I led the guys out to the busy road and towards the base. Soldier sat patiently in the back while Kai sat in the passengers seat and leaned his head on my shoulder as he slept.

He's really been sleeping all day, I wonder how long he's going to be sleeping tonight. I'm not surprised with how tired and clingy he's been all day, but of how long he went without sleep. Did our breakup really effect him that much? Did him losing me really cause this much pain to him?

After ten minutes I turned into the forest once again and started heading deep in the woods. We kept on driving for a few minutes until we reached the base. I hopped out of the car with Soldier by my side as well as the other guys.

"Where's the base?" Jake asked confusedly.

When we had created the base I made sure it was well hidden and nobody could really see it. It's almost invisible actually but the truth is, the walls of the exterior aren't really walls but one way mirrors. So everybody on the inside can look out, but the outsiders can only see their reflection. So nobody would realize it were a base because it would disguise itself with the reflection of the trees.

"It's right in front of us," I giggled.

I started moving towards the mirrored doors with the men hesitantly following behind. They grew more confused once they saw their reflections but I pushed open the door and revealed the beautiful interior of the base. Most of my members were out since I had given them orders earlier this morning so I didn't have to worry about anybody looking our way suspiciously.

They looked around the base in astonishment as we walked through to move towards the back.

"That was smart," Ogus mumbled from behind me.

"I know, with us rising up I was afraid that other enemy gangs might want to do what that mystery man did to your base, so I kept it well hidden away from prying eyes," I simply stated.

Now that I think of it, would the Royal Aces betray me? I didn't want to think of it, but it could be a possibility. Maybe after this whole mission they'll go back to trying to steal from me, you never know. But all I knew right now was that I needed all the help I could get to catch this mother fucker.

We walked out the back doors and towards the small shed that was really tiny compared to the mass amount of land we had behind the base. As I got closer to it I heard Williams speak up behind me.

"Silver, where are we going?" He asked confused.

"To the hostages silly," I said innocently.

"But where?" He pushed.

I then opened the door to the shed and walked down the staircase to the basement, "Close the door behind you please!" I called over my shoulder.

We continued down until we finally reached the bottom of the stairs and walked through the large warehouse -like structure where we keep our hostages. I followed towards the screams with the men in tow.

"This is really fucking smart," Ogus gawked from behind me.

"Shush Ogus," I joked.

I opened the door to a small room that held a one way mirror inside as well. On the other side of the mirror, Joe and Richard were asking the hostage questions but he wouldn't answer, so they took turns throwing punches.

"Ogus and Williams, follow me," I said as I left the room and entered the room Joe and Richard were in.

The nodded their heads in acknowledgement to me and I couldn't help but catch my reflection in the one way mirror, and I smirked behind my mask.

"You're Silver," the man breathed.

"Nice that you know my name, now what's yours?" I asked innocently.

"Howard," the man said in a gulp.

"Howwy, well tell me how you got yourself into this little situation," I encouraged as I took off my hoodie and left me in my black T-shirt.

"I w-was cleaning up the mess and these men came and kidnapped me," he said trying to sound confident, and he honestly sounded like he was a little bit.

"Well that's not good now is it?" I asked as I grabbed a pocket knife.

"No," he whimpered.

"Well I'm glad that you know, now these men would like to ask you some questions, and if you answer all of them truthfully, you can ask a question of your own. Deal?" I asked as I straddled a chair in front of him.

He nodded his head vigorously and so Williams continued, "Why did you torture that married couple?"

My heart raced against my rib cage for his answer, and my tongue suddenly went dry as I awaited the words to leave his mouth.

"Boss had told me to," he admitted.

"Ok, then why did your boss want to torture them?" Ogus asked boredly.

Howard gulped and shook with fear but continued, "He was angry. He was envious of his daughter, and he wanted to-"

"Next question," I ordered. I knew where this answer was leading to, and I wasn't going to hear the rest of it. I didn't want to believe it was him, I didn't want to hear him say the rest of his sentence, I wasn't going to listen to some bullshit.

Williams looked at me confusedly but nonetheless continued, "What is your gang name?"

Howard's breathing grew heavy and his breathing pattern started to quicken. I thought he was going to faint any second, and unfortunately, he did.

"You've got to be kidding me," Richard complained.

"He did it on purpose!" Ogus annoyingly exclaimed.

He was trying to find a way out of this, he didn't want to answer anymore questions so he passed out just to leave it, which was really annoying.

"Should we try another one?" Joe asked.

"No, we've had a long day, we'll come back another time," Williams said as we left the room.
