Kai
Four weeks, two days, three hours, and fifteen minutes.
That's how long it's been since I last talked to Diamonds. Since I've last touched her soft skin and heard her soothing voice. Except the last time I heard it, it wasn't so soothing.
I've tried to give her space, to give her time but she's like a drug. I just want her back and I regret what I did and I wish I could turn back time but I can't. It hurts so much to see her happy without me and I just want to hold her in my arms one last time. I want to lay in her vanilla scented sheets with her and whisper sweet nothings into her ear until she falls asleep in my embrace. I want to brush her hair out of her face whenever she's nervous or blushing and I want to touch those lips again. Those goddamn lips.
They felt so soft against my own and I just wanted to feel her under my finger tips again. That bottom lip that she bites whenever she's nervous makes me want to bite it myself. She's so beautiful, so gorgeous, and I fucking lost her.
After I thought I had lost her in New York, I just wanted to try and forget how I hurt her. How scared she was when she saw us in front of that restaurant, I thought she was scared of me. Turns out she was only trying to find time to think, and I fucked it up. I had kissed another girl when we were still together, and she watched.
Once I heard Soldier bark I knew who was there. And I can't even believe I decided to hurt her like that, I was being selfish and stupid and I just want to apologize.
"I don't need your love and your respect anymore, and you sure as hell don't need me."
Oh but Diamonds, how I wish you'd know how much I need you.
I arrived back home the next morning and hoped, I just hoped that she would be there in her room waiting for me. But she was gone. Her clothes, her shoes, her bags, her sweet presence. It was gone.
"Diamonds? Diamonds?!" I yelled into the house.
I ran up the stairs in desperation while my heart pounded against my chest, threatening to break.
"Princess? Are you in there?" I yelled as I ran towards her bedroom.
"Please God no, please," I muttered as I stood in front of her door.
I hesitantly turned the knob and was met with a blank bedroom. The furniture was still in it's place but the walls didn't hold the silly photos and the lights didn't hang from above and her vanity was completely empty.
"Please Diamonds you didn't leave me-" I stopped in her empty closet and saw empty hangers, empty drawers, and an empty bathroom.
I pulled on my hair and I searched frantically for the beautiful silhouette but she was nowhere to be seen. I felt as if everything in me had been broken and I just wished that she would pop up out of nowhere. She couldn't have left me, please God no.
"Liam! Check the security system and those fucking cameras!" I yelled as I searched the theater room.
"Kai, it shows nothing on it. She must've wiped the footage and-"
"Fucking find her goddammit!" I roared.
I searched around frantically for that fucking dog and hoped that his owner would be right next to him but they weren't found. I couldn't find them. They were gone.
"Kai..." I heard Blake whisper behind me.
I turned around and hoped that Diamonds would be right next to him but instead, I found him standing alone with her key of the house.
"No, no no please no," I begged as I crashed my back into the counter.
I felt so hopeless when she wasn't home for a few days. But eventually Liam and Blake had convinced me to start getting back to work and so I did, but the constant thought of Diamonds leaving me still followed me around like Soldier. My heart ached for her, but my mind tried convincing me to work.
The classroom door opening made me snap my head up to see the familiar Siberian husky carrying a small paper bag in his mouth and walked to the back of the classroom. He was soon followed by the walking angel herself and she handed the coffee to the teacher for the second time now. She walked all the way to the back but didn't spare us a glance as she motioned for a kid to move seats. He moved seats quickly and sat in the seat next to her instead.
"She's back?"
"Where was she?"
"She's so pretty..."
Questions filled the air as she sat down and drank her coffee and ate her chocolate muffin peacefully. Keeping her eyes on the board where the teacher was explaining something I didn't care about and throwing some doggy snacks in the air for Soldier.
She hasn't been to school since break ended, and I waited here every morning hoping that she would turn up. Nobody knows where she's been and it's been bothering me how I hadn't known her whereabouts. I almost thought she died until she showed up to class today.
"Dude, you're staring," Blake said as he hit my chest to grab my attention.
"I know," I whispered harshly.
"And it looks creepy," Liam added.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, "I know, I know. I just miss her, that's all."
Who the fuck am I kidding? I crave for her. She's so smart, so fucking pure hearted. Ever since I started working on the gang again her gang topped us. They're making ten times the profit they've been making since Jewels had led their gang, it's unbelievable how she could just do all of that in a month.
After Liam had explained everything to us we searched the city for her we even tried tracking her cellphone but she had that blocked off. She didn't want to be found yet, she wasn't ready to face us and I understand that now. She was scared that we would be mad at her and call her a traitor but all we wanted to do was forgive her.
"We know, we miss her too," Liam admitted quietly.
She left a hole in all of our hearts when she left, and now its just grown bigger now that we see her. She looks like she couldn't give a care in the world, but all three of us know she cares so much. We know her heart is still pure and still caring, as long as I didn't break it.
The bell ringing made me jump back to reality and I saw her quickly leaving with Soldier in tow. I rushed out to try and keep up but when I made it out in the hallway, she was nowhere to be seen. I turned around frantically trying to find her beautiful hazel eyes but they were gone.
I rushed to my next class and just hoped she would already be there waiting. I hoped that she would want to talk to me too.
I walked into math class to see her on her phone texting someone. I rushed over to her but before I could call her name Soldier stood in front of me and growled.
"Soldier, it's me buddy," I said as I crouched down and pet him. He looked back at a silent Diamonds, and then back to me to whimper.
"I understand bud," I said sadly. I got up from my crouching position and sat across the classroom from Diamonds.
She lifted her head up as soon as the teacher came in and started listening to the lecture. She was only 15ft away from me but it felt like miles, she looked so engrossed in her work I couldn't help but point out how she arches her eyebrow up whenever she looks back up to the board from her notebook. And then her features relax as she continues writing.
I've only realized all of this now, because now I know what I've lost. I've lost someone worth more than a billion pots of gold. I lost someone who's worth more than day and night. I lost a princess.

She sat at the table next to us, finishing her assignments like she had done before she became involved with us. Her pen moved as fast as her mind and she flipped through the papers as fast as the click of her pen. Soldier ate peacefully next to her and watched as his owner continued working.
Soldier placed his paw on her thigh and she turned to him confused. He then placed his paws onto the table and scooted her packed lunch to her with his nose. She hasn't eaten since she's been in here, so I understand why he was doing what he did. She's been keeping her head down this whole day, she's even forgotten to eat.
Diamonds, if you're mine again, I would always take care of you.
She patted his head and closed her books. She grabbed her lunch and started eating it gracefully while reading a sheet of paper.
"That's one smart fucking dog dude," Blake commented.
"Still can't believe it's a dog," I whispered.
After about fifteen minutes, she finally finished her food and packed up her things. A ringing of a cell phone filled the air as well as the bell. She held the phone to her chest as the other students had passed her table so they could get to class. But we wouldn't leave. She looked around cautiously for anybody else in sight until her eyes finally landed on us.
She looked between us like she was waiting for something, but when we didn't do anything, she sighed and answered the call.
"Hm?" I heard her hum.
She stayed silent on the phone and we watched as her expression quickly changed from being bored, to a hard confused grimace. She listened to the person on the other line attentively for a few seconds before she arched an eyebrow at us and stared at Liam.
Blake and I turned to a dumbfounded Liam and he looked to us to see if we knew what was going on, but we didn't. She continued to stare at him until she looked away and started packing her things.
"Stay where you are and don't you dare let him touch them, that's a fucking order," she growled into the phone before she slung her bag over her shoulder and ran out the cafeteria doors, Soldier racing after her.
"What the fuck was that?" Liam asked confused.
We all looked between each other and gave each other a quick nod before jumping out of our seats and following her. We pushed past the people in the crowded hallways when they didn't have time to clear our path and out to the school doors.
We watched her quickly round her car and slide in and pull out of the parking lot. She swerved out to the busy road and raced away, her car disappearing in the distance.
"What the hell?" Blake said breathlessly.
"Who was she talking to? Who was she talking about?" Liam asked in a panicked tone.
"I don't know, but we have to find out," I said as I stormed to my car and quickly got in. I called my best hacker and told him to figure out who had called Diamonds and sped through the cars.
We got to our base in the North Outskirts of the city and stormed in, "Did you get it?" I asked hopefully.
"No, the phone is blocked off-"
"THEN UNBLOCK IT DUMBASS," I boomed. He flinched back in fear and went back to the computer to do as I said and I paced around the room.
"This is torture. Why did she look at me like that?" Liam whispered.
"We don't know, but I sure as hell know we're gonna find out."

After a long unsuccessful day, Blake, Liam, and I decided that we'd go back to Liam's house to check on his dad and Karen. Diamonds did say 'them' and gave Liam a confused but panicked expression, so it had to do something between them.
We barged into the house and started calling their names, "Dad! Karen! Are you guys home?!" Liam yelled throughout the house. Only to be met with silence.
"Diamonds? Karen! Dad! Where the hell are you?" Liam yelled again.
Silence.
"Are you sure they're not on a business trip or something?" Blake asked worriedly.
"He would've told me," Liam fired back.
We all sank down into the sofas and started tracking them down but everything was unsuccessful. We looked for any form of a note or something around the house to see if they had actually left, but nothing.
It was already 3:00 a.m. when we jolted up from our seats when we heard an engine outside. We all looked at each other puzzled but nonetheless jumped up from our seats and rushed to the foyer.
When we were about to walk out the door, the two familiar figures walked in with bandages all over them. Jared had crutches and Karen was trying her hardest to keep him steady, but failed miserably as she too had been injured.
"Dad!" Liam yelled and rushed over to help him walk.
He engulfed him in a hug and the same with Karen, and Blake and Liam helped them onto the sofa.
Blake turned around and gasped at what he saw. I turned around to see what had caught his attention and my eyes turned into saucers at the sight in front of me.
She was hurt. Hurt bad too. Cuts were shown on her arms and bruises decorated her stomach. Her lip was busted and she had a cut on her eyebrow but other than that, she looked stable. Soldier was right by her side and standing guard as she looked between us nervously.
"Honey, I can't thank you enough," Jared said as he turned to look at her.
Diamonds pulled a weak smile on her lips and walked over to give her mom a hug. She then sat down in front of her and held her mom's hands in her own.
"Mommy..." she started. Karen sat up straighter and gripped her daughter's hands.
Diamonds took a deep breath and brushed her hair away from her face, "Mommy I'm a gang leader."
Jared and Karen stiffened in their seat and stared at her in disbelief.
"We kind of are, too," Liam said scratching the back of his neck. Jared and Karen looked around at all of us in bewilderment until Diamonds spoke up again.
"They are, we all are. Kai is the leader of a gang called the Deck of Cards. Liam is his second in command, Blake is his third. I'm the leader of a gang called Illium-"
"Your last name?" She asked confused.
"Yes, and I want to explain everything to you but you need to start packing. You're going to be out of the country for awhile until it's safe to come back. Please don't fight me on this because if this happens again, I might not be able to save you," she whispered the last part.
They both stared at her confused but nodded their heads in understanding. Just then two familiar men with bruises as well came down the stairs with packed suitcases on either side of them.
"Boss, they have to go now," The large man said. She nodded her head and helped both of them stand up and helped them walk out to the SUV waiting for them outside.
She said a couple of words to her mom and Jared before she closed the car door and watched them drive off.
One of the men stayed behind and talked to Diamonds.
"Do you know who did this?" She asked sternly.
He shook his head and she sighed, "Get our best men to search the place and find any trace of evidence leading to who this might be. If any of those guys are still there, tell our men to injure them badly, but not enough to kill them. I want answers and I want them now," she ordered.
He nodded his head and went into the Camaro and drove out of the driveway. Diamonds then walked up to us, but past me, and engulfed Liam in a hug. He hugged her back just as hard and even though he wanted to cry, he kept a blank expression.
"I'm sorry," She mumbled into his chest.
"For what sissy?" He asked as he pulled away and cupped her face in his hands.
"For not telling you at the school. I was just angry and I guess I had forgotten about telling you," she whispered.
"It's okay, they'll be safe now. That's all that matters," he kissed her on the forehead and she softly pulled away.
"Diamonds what happened?" Blake asked.
"Some one kidnapped our parents and fucking tortured them. They ran off before I could see who they were and I had to get them out of there as soon as possible. Don't worry I got this shit under control," she said as she turned to walk away.
I put my hand on her shoulder and the tingles that I had felt before immediately rushed through my body at the quick contact. It was what I had missed whenever I was with her, the feeling that she gave me.
"Maybe we can help-"
"I don't need your goddamn help Finnels," she spat. She glared at me one last time and gave a curt nod to Liam and Blake before getting into Robin with Soldier and speeding off into oblivion.
