Episode 142
Side Story 4. The Sun and The Starry Night
After the wedding ceremony, it was night when I finished cleaning up and bathing.
It was the beginning of the first night I spent as Cassiusâs wifeâ¦
So it had a deeper meaning than any other night, and I was never given a chance to enjoy that lingering feeling.
âCassius?â
One minute has passed since the bedroom door was closed.
In no time Cassius held me in his arms, locked me in his arms, and began rubbing his cheeks.
âYerineâ¦â¦.â
His voice sounded a little drowsy.
His drowsy gold eye lit up in the room where the candle lighted softly.
It was a cheek at first.
Cassiusâs cheeks, who had not been bathed long before, were still hot, kept calling my name.
âYerine, Yerine Spadeâ¦â¦â¦.â
His face gradually went down toward my bare neckline in pyjamas.
âHold, hold on.â
His lips, hotter than his cheeks, touched my neck.
Chup. Chup.
I felt a fever rising at the end of my ear as his lips fell down with the explicit blatant sound.
Cassius kissed, changing the position of his lips without stopping.
He kept kissing as if to make sure thereâs no place his lips were not touched.
As it was not dry yet, his black hair, which had remained wet, was chilling whenever it brushed against the soft skin.
And at where he kissed, ten flowers seemed to bloom one by one.
âCa, Cassius, hold on, pleaseâ¦!â
It wasnât that I didnât like it.
However, Cassius really looks like someone who is possessed by something and kisses without hesitation, so I called his name to see if he was really okay, maybe he had a fever or was sick.
âHuh, Yerine?â
Luckily, he seemed to hear my voice.
âWhyâ¦?â
Even though his voice still sounded hazy.
âMaybe you donât want toâ¦?â
As Cassius whispered, he asked in a deep, subdued voice.
The usual sharpness was nowhere in his half-open golden eyes.
His eyes filled with love and heat, as sweet as honey, overflowing uncontrollably.
One might look at those eyes and think theyâre sunk in madness.
But I knew.
Thatâs not madness or passion to hurt me.
âI already knew that.â
He really loves me.
To the point where he doesnât know what to do.
âNo.â
So I answered like that.
And wrapped my arms around his neck.
âThank God.â
A relieved voice came from below.
He then raised the corners of his mouth slightly and put his lips on my shoulder.
When his lips touched, I winced unconsciously.
Itâs like Iâm getting goosebumps at that spot.
Without stopping there, Cassius buried his head in my shoulder and took a deep breath.
âSmells goodâ¦â¦.â
And, as if he had struck his cheek before, he struck his nose vigorously.
âI love itâ¦â¦â
The more he did that, the more strength he had in his arms hugging me.
âHold, hold on.â
Cassius apparently had no intention of stopping.
The more Cassius rubbed his nose, the more clearly his affection for me was revealed, but the more he did, the hotter my shoulders got.
âCassius, please, hold on!â
After all, Cassius looked back at me only after striking his shoulder a couple of times.
âHuhâ¦?â
Cassius, who had eyes that seemed to be enchanted, still heated, looked quite bewildered.
âIâm sorry, do youâ¦â¦.â
âOh, no, itâs not.â
I added, quickly comforting Cassius.
âIâm afraid my shoulders are going to come offâ¦â¦â¦.â
âOh.â
âAnd sit down, Cassius, you must be tired, so donât stand there and do it, okay?â
Cassius, who was still listening to me, nodded and hugged me as if he had learned something.
âIâm sorry because I like you so much.â
At that moment, my face was heated up, and somehow I was a little shy.
Looking farther from the corner of the bedroom to the bed, it was less than three steps for Cassius to reach.
And for me, itâs only four or five steps if I walk.
And I can move my body in the air with air magic.
âHe doesnât have to hold me and carry meâ¦!â
In the meantime, Cassius kissed my forehead and added.
âI guess thatâs why I canât control it well.â
Sitting carefully on the bed, he gently set me down on his lap and supported me with one hand.
And then he kissed me on the cheek again.
His eyes, glowing like the sun, slowly turned to my shoulder.
âDid it hurtâ¦?â
His eyes fluttered as he looked at my slightly red shoulders.
Itâs a bit watery.
My heart began to pound when I saw his eyes.
âNo.â
I shook my head and said.
Cassius seems to have stopped because he thought he rubbed too hard, but it didnât hurt at all.
My shoulders are just a bit red.
âAre you all right?â
I nodded as I looked at Cassius asking again.
Then Cassius looked me in the eye and stared still at me.
His eyes that resemble the shimmering sun disappeared behind the eyelids.
Cassius, slowly bowing with his eyes closed, kissed me around my eyes.
It seemed as if the time before his lips stuck around my eyes and fell off was very slow.
When his lips touched, I closed my eyes unconsciously with a burning sensation.
âI, I really love your eyes.â
A damp voice sank in my ears in the heat.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw his golden eyes looking down at me.
I wanted to ask why my eyes.
âWhy?â
I stretched out my right hand and wrapped it around his cheek.
The tip of my finger in the light of the soft candle was shaking.
âIs it because the colour is pretty?â
I didnât know exactly why I wanted to ask that question then.
âWell, itâs a pretty colour, butâ¦â¦â¦.â
Cassius replied in a low, subdued voice.
âI would have liked it if your eyes were a different colour. Even if it was blue, green, or gold.â
I guess it wasnât a matter of eye colour.
Surprised by the unexpected answer, I asked back.
âWhat?â
âReally.â
Cassius replied, smacking his cheek again.
âTo be exact, I love how your eyes look.â
A heartwarming voice rang in my ears.
âWhen you do magic or look at me, your sweet sparkling eyes are so lovely, every time I see themâ¦â¦.â
Cassius, who was pouring out his words in a trembling voice as if he were overwhelmed with emotion, stopped talking for a while and inhaled.
âI thought it was like a star.â
My heart ached at the words.
When I saw the sun from him, he saw stars from me.
âYouâre the only one in the world who can look at me like this.â
I looked up at Cassius smiling lovingly.
I felt my fist and clenched the hem of his shirt.
When I opened my mouth with difficulty, a slightly cracked voice came out.
âI, too, really like Cassiusâs eyes.â
Do you know?
How shiny your eyes are when you look at me.
When I first found your sparkle, I felt sorry that other people didnât seem to recognize it.
Even you.
But now, youâve become so lovely to me that Iâm glad Iâm the only one who found it.
Cassiusâs eyes grew slightly surprised by my words.
Soon, the corners of his lip bent smoothly, drawing an arc line.
So we looked into each otherâs eyes for a while.
Gold and purple eyes, then gold and red eyes, faced each other.
For a very long time.
I had the illusion that his golden eyes radiating a soft light, going to flow into my eyes.
âYerineâ¦.â
He was just calling out my name.
But why does my heart hurt so much?
I closed my eyes when I saw his face getting closer.
A hot breath passed through my skin.
My head was a little dizzy with the strong scent on the tip of my nose.
Soon, each otherâs lips touched each otherâs lips.
It was soft.
The sensation became so hot that it was hard to open my eyes, and without realizing it, my hand held Cassiusâs shirt tightened.
Thatâs how I left my body to the heat.
It felt like a long time had passed when the affectionate kiss was over.
âYerineâ¦.â
Cassius said to me as he put me in bed from his lap.
His heated eyes were similar to those of a wolf as if to devour his opponent in front of him.
âI love you.â
Bringing it up, he held my hands together and clasped my fingers.
And then we put our lips together again.
He likes his companion so much that he doesnât know how to pour out his affection that has grown beyond his control.
Iâm worried that his companion might get hurt by the act of pouring affection, but he canât stand it, so he doesnât seem to know what to do.
Such a loving, and at the same time a bittersweet kiss.
âWhooo, Yerineâ¦â¦â¦.â
Cassius spoke in a troubled voice as the second long kiss was over.
His eyes, shining through the slightly moist black hair, turned soggy from the heat.
âI love Yerine so muchââ
The tip of my hand, intertwined with his, was slightly tired.
âI donât know what to doâ¦â¦.â
Cassius spoke with a heated face, breathing heavily.
âI want to keep kissing, I want to hugâ¦â¦â¦.â
I felt ashamed for him for being quite honest.
âAnd Iâd like to do something else if you donât mindâ¦.â
Although he was not as calm as usual, Cassius seemed a little shy when he brought up the last word, but he blurred the end of his sentence.
Looking up at him, Cassius looked slightly bewildered.
âIf you donât want toââ
âNo.â
I replied with a big smile.
And curled up the corners of my lips and whispered in a small voice.
âBed.â
âHuh?â
âBed, why donât we try it out?â
Astra and Rayl gave me half joke and half serious gift, but I never thought Iâd bring it this way.
âAs Astra and Rayl said, donât you want to test if itâs really strong?â
Only then did Cassius, who understood what I meant, blushed even more.
âYe, Yerine!â
âYou donât like it?â
Cassius smiled at me asking playfully.
âNo way.â
He bent over and kissed the bridge of my nose, and said in a heated voice.
âI love you, Yerine.â
I smiled and hugged Cassiusâs neck at the loving voice that filled my ears.
The navy night sky was visible through the curtains that were not completely closed.
The night when the sun hid in the dark and the shining star met, it was more beautiful than ever.
