Xander's POV
Flashback
Weeks
It's been weeks since the incident with Thea. Weeks since we have been trying to find Pedrova
The drugs are taking the city by storm and it won't be long before it consumes the whole country. Pedrova had to be stopped. I needed to end this once and for all but nothing seemed to have worked out.
"Boss he is inside. Fifteen men around him. But a lot more are in the basement"
"This ends today. Once and for all"
Damien looked at me and I gave a slight nod. Tonight will decide the faith of what happens to us. There was no room for defeat. We had to win. No matter the cost.
Damien and ...... knocked down the wooden gates to the warehouse . A lot of my men had surrounded the warehouse. Even if something goes wrong tonight, Pedrova wasn't leaving this place alive.
As expected, Pedrova wasn't expecting us. Even if we only got a few seconds before Pedrova's men got to their guns, my men had already shot down a lot of his men. The next few minutes were complete chaos. Bullets were being shot and men were screaming.
While my men were dealing with Pedrova's men, I eyed Pedrova. I almost laughed at how scared he looked hidden behind four of his men, running for his life. Tonight his reign will end and Russia will have a new king by dawn.

I knew someday I would see my demise
But I will damned if I let that stop me from tasting complete power
He was running down to the basement. It was unfamiliar territory. I looked at Damien, Dimitri, Ivan and Egor. Giving them a signal, we all moved towards our prize. The stairs that led down to the basement were dark. We didn't know how many men were there. But it wasn't fear that I felt. It was the victory that I would get after seeing a bullet in the middle of Pedrova's head.
Dim light flickered at the curve of the stairs and Damien looked at me waiting for my order.
"Blow it up"
In the next second the basement was filled with gas and bullets started raining on the walls. I chuckled at how untrained his men were. Typical though. Pedrova liked wasting money on his whore houses. For him, his men were disposable and that's why his kingdom was toppling down in front of his eyes.
After a few minutes, when the sounds of bullets died down, we made our move. Entering the basement, Damien and Ivan took their place, shooting anything that moved. Just like each piece on a chess board that has special powers, each member of the circle had their own powers. Damien and Ivan were the best fucking shooters the world would ever see.
As the smoke faded, Egor grabbed his knife and moved like a snake into his prey's territory. No one survived Egor's knife. Never has and never will. Finally it was just Pedrova and two of his men at the corner of the room.
"I always knew you were a coward hiding behind your men"
"You think you can end me like this. I have ruled this country for years. I am not that easy to kill"
I almost laughed at his show of bravery. But I could read people. The way his eye twitched and his left hand that shook as it held onto his gun, he looked like a pup trying to fight the big dogs.
"Look around. It's over. Nothing can save you right now"
"Is it over? Think again. Aren't you forgetting something? Or someone"
His voice echoed in the numbness of my mind and I felt my heart stop for a second.
Thea. He was talking about her.
"You really think I wouldn't have a backup. I always win Rouge. You have something to loose now. But me? I have nothing to lose. And you know what they say; You can't win against someone who has nothing to lose"
I wanted to kill him. Right this instant. My hands itched to grab my gun and put a bullet in his head. But he didn't deserve such an easy death. Each of us in the room, Egor, Damien, Ivan, Dimitri, all of them were waiting to avenge someone Pedrova hurt.
Pedrovas' men aimed the gun at us but two knives flew across the room, stabbing both of them, right between their chest.
Egor.
Like I said, no one survived his knives.
"Any last wishes?" I mocked. He wasn't going to get any but isn't this how most stories end.
"Did you ever find the mole, Rouge?"
The mole...
We never found him. After the shipment information was leaked, Damien and Egor worked days to find him but all routes were a dead end.
Pedrova seemed to have taken my silence as his victory. A loud laugh echoed in the basement and Pedrova looked like he had just won the damn war
"I am always a step ahead of you Rouge. This might be my end but I won't go down alone. Three..." Pedrova screamed. Why the fuck was he counting?
"Two..." I grabbed my gun and aimed at him. I pressed the trigger but before I could watch the bullet pierce his body another bullet was fired.
"One..."
Pain erupted in my body and my eyes fell dark. My body fell to the ground and I felt myself being drowned by darkness. The soft sounds of bullets resonated at the back of my head and just before I was consumed by darkness and pain, I heard Damien screaming the name of one of my most trusted man.
Flashback stops:
"That's it? That's the end?"
"Kitten, I just told you a story that had bullets, blood and bodies. WHAT else are you looking for?" I chuckled at her amusing question
"No that's not what I meant" She looked down embarrassed. "I meant it like, is it over now. Will everything go back to how it was?"
I didn't know what was going to happen. I was gonna rule this state. I was going to break more laws than before and my life would be in even more danger. But one thing I sure as hell knew was that nothing was going back to normal but I wasn't going to freak out my kitten with that answer. So I simply placed my lips on hers and watched a tint of red spread across her pale cheeks. She was adorable.
After making sure that I had distracted her long enough for her to forget her question, I pulled away. She flushed her face on my chest hiding her embarrassment and I could only let out a chuckle.
Time skip
Thea's POV
After Xander told me what happened between him and the other guy, he has been busy with phonecalls. It's almost midnight and I know that if Lila came home and didn't find me she would freak out. On top of that I would have to lie to her about where I was. I couldn't exactly tell her I was with Xander. She hates him.
I looked at Xander having a rather heated discussion with someone on the phone. Since he was speaking in Russian I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I wanted to tell him I was leaving but since he continued to sound scary and pissed, I didn't know if I should interrupt him or not.
Maybe I could tell Scar to tell him later that I had left. Deciding to do exactly that, I got up from my chair that was close to Xander's bed and very slowly tried to leave without disturbing Xander. As I was about to touch the door knob, Xander's voice stopped me
"You touch that door and you won't like what I do next"
Turning around I looked at him. His eyes weren't on me and he was still on the phone. Assuming he was listening to me, I said
"It's getting late. I was going to tell Scar before I left. Lila would freak out considering I never told her"
Xander ignored me and spoke something in Russian to the person on call. I am assuming he meant he will call later cause he cut the call and threw his phone on the side table. Turning his entire attention to me, he said,
"Come here kitten"
His voice held a command and I felt my body obliging to it. I took a step but before I could take another, he spoke again and this time it sent a shiver down my spine
"Crawl kitten"
I looked at him, shock very clear on my face
"Don't make me repeat myself kitten"
"Xanderrrr"
"Now" He growled.
Dropping on my knees, I placed my palms on the floor. I was hesitant and Xander knew it.
"Be a good girl for me, Kitten"
His good girl. That is what my body craved to be. I crawled towards the bed. My body shook with embarrassment as I looked at the floor.
"Look at me, kitten," Xander commanded. I looked up and saw him staring at my crouched body. His face held lust and my face was flushed with blood and heat. I crawled towards the far end of the bed where his hands lay. I sat on my knees praying for the floor to open and swallow me whole. I felt his hand softly stroking my hair and I felt myself leaning in his touch.
"So submissive. Kitten is the right name for you" His voice held a sense of adoration. He found me crawling cute??
I tried to get up but his hands forced me down.
"No kitten. Stay right there"
I huffed and rolled my eyes, not hiding my dislike or anger for this position. Did he not see how embarrassed I am feeling?
Xander's chuckle echoed in the room and it only fueled my discontent.
"When you act like a brat, it makes me want to take you across my knee"
"Well maybe you should then" The words slipped out of my mouth before I could even make sense of it or stop myself. DId I just tell him that???
"Gladly" Suddenly I was pulled from the ground and onto Xander's lap. He flipped me around and my face was facing the bed. He pushed my skirt over my ass and slowly caressed the skin that wasn't covered by my panties.
Oh my god. This was going too fast. I tried to move away from his hold but he held me down with his hand on my waist.
"So pretty" Xander groaned and I felt my heart almost jump out of my chest with the compliment. His fingers pinched my left cheek and a soft whimper left my mouth
"What happened kitten? Isn't this what you wanted?" He was mocking me. Before I could come up with a sassy response I felt a sting on both my ass cheeks. He just spanked me. TWICE
"XANDER"
"It's daddy" Xander growled and to make sure I did call him that, he spanked me again.
"Do you want to know why I have you across my knee?" Xander asked, soothing the skin that I am sure was turned red
"Because I was being bratty" I said in a matter of fact tone.
Another harsh spank was delivered on my skin and my body shuddered with pain
"That does seem like a good enough reason but with what's on my mind, it's the wrong answer baby. Try again"
What other possible reason could he have for doing this? I came here to see him. He should be happy about it.
"I don't know daddy" His palm connected with my skin again and another whimper escaped my mouth
"You tried to sneak into a facility that is crawling with armed men. What would have happened if Damien didn't reach you. Those men on the roof are ordered to kill anything that moves and is not authorized. Do you ?"
"So you are mad at me for trying to sneak in and see you?" He spanked me two more times, clealry not liking my 'are-you-serious' tone
"I am mad at you for trying to put yourself in danger. I am mad at you for making me want to kill my men if they had hurt even a single strand on your head"
"I just wanted to see you. Lila told me that you were hurt and the thought of never seeing you again made me scared"
Something in the room changed. The room that earlier sizzled with an angry need and lust was now filled with something more vulmerable and soft. Xander pulled me into his chest, making me straddle him.
"You like me that much?" His voice dropped a few octaves. My breath hitched when for the first time since I looked into his eyes, I saw emotions. There was softness in his eyes and his hands on my waist tightened
"Of course. You were my first kiss"
"That's no reason to like me. I am a monster kitten. I have hurt people"
"You are not a monster. No one is born a monster. The actions of our society makes people bad. I may not know why you became this person but I know that it was because of something that happened to you in the past"
"People like you die in my world Thea. You find the good in people, in monsters and demons.There is no place for someone like you in this world that I have built."
"I am not asking for your whole world. Just let me in your heart. I will settle even for a small piece of it" Desperation laced in my every word but I didn't care
"You want to be mine?" I nodded furiously
"I can't give you my heart kitten because I don't have one" A huge wave of pain and disappointment crashed in my mind and I felt my eyes tearing up.
"But I can give you the next best thing. A relationship. Exclusivity"
"As in, you become like my boyfriend? Just mine" I was shocked and I guess it was evident in my voice
"If that's what you want to call it. Then yes. I become your boyfriend. You become mine and I won't let you go. Not until I am done with you. And when I say it's done, it ends there. No questions asked. I am not promising you a future Thea. You have to understand that. I can't give you a fairy tale or a forever. Its for the people who wish to love and love in my world is set for demise. This is what I am giving you. Take it or leave it"
I was so desperate for this man that anything he was giving me, as small as it was, I was ready to take it. I simply gave him a nod and a smirk formed on his face
"You really want to be in a loveless relationship that is set to fall and end?"
"Yes," I said without an ounce of hesitation but I didn't end it there, "You say you don't have a heart but I am going to prove just how wrong you are"
"Are you challenging me Thea?"
"What if I am daddy?"
"Well then, challenge accepted, Kitten"

Hope you all are safe and happy
This chapter was supposed to be updated long back but with my new semester starting, everything was a mess. But here I am :)
So Xander and Thea have finally become exclusive and this means we will see a lot more romance in the book (the whole reason why I started the book was to write sappy romance scenes :-| )
