"This will keep you from dying, if Satan kills you, which he will, you will come back a few hours later, but if the moon is completely black, everyone will die including you." He said firmly and I felt my heart race at the fact that He will try to kill me, even though I know that Satan has taken over him.
"But isn't he a part of him? Wouldn't he feel any kind of remorse for killing me?" I asked him and my voice cracked at the end.
"He might be apart of him, but he is someone completely different, he has no emotion whatsoever, and his only existence is to cause chaos and nothing else." He said flatly, giving me no room to talk, he grabbed on to me. "When the moon is completely black, your time has run out." He said as he walked to my balcony and flapped his wings lifting us up from the platform.
My heart was racing in fear, but not fear of him, it was in fear of the unknown, because I do not know if I will get through to him after breaking his heart mercilessly. I just hoped that I would be able to get through to him before the time ran out.

Chapter 6
------------------------------------
As we were flying, I could see the small fires from where I was as the smoke evaporated into the sky, and the moon still wasn't covered yet or even touched for that matter, but I was still anxious. My heart was slamming more and more against my chest, the closer we got to him, and no matter what pep talk I gave myself, I still couldn't shake the fear.
"Alright, your on your own," Gabriel said as he flapped his wings slowly to descend into the neighborhood that was under attack by a broken-hearted Devil. "This is your chance to save everyone, I can't intervene God said, so be careful of the moon." He said sternly and left when I replied to him with a determined nod of the head, but not before giving me a gold digger.
I held the dagger to my chest and closed my eyes as I whispered a quick prayer, even though I never was much of a God person, because I didn't think he existed till now, and I just wanted to pray to him to give me strength.
'Alright Brooks, it's time to bring the devious devil back that we know and love-' The thought had stopped me in my tracks, my heart racing and ready to explore the emotion to the now heartless and soulless monster that was on a rampage.
I took a deep breath and followed the trail of flames. I could hear the screams of people as they ran around trying to escape death by getting into their cars, but it was no use. The demons would snatch them before they could even get within ten feet of their vehicles and they would make a hole in the car and get the people that were in there. These people really had no escape.
As I continued to my destination, I saw a demon laughing as he picked up a little girl, who could have been six years old, by the neck, and I couldn't let it hurt her. I ran towards him with the dagger behind my back to not alarm him, when he turned his head, he was too late, I was able to stab it in its back as it looked at me with wide eyes and dropped the little girl, and the demon disintegrated within seconds.
I looked at the little girl that was sobbing on the ground and looking at me. "Thank you." She whispered and she was going to leave, but I couldn't let her go back to more danger so I grabbed her hand and put Gabriel's feather into it. "Pray for Gabriel, the angel, to come and get you, that Brooks needs you to help you, OK?" She looked at me with her head to the side and her eyebrows furrowed and then she turned to look at the demons that were killing people, and I guess that was all she needed to believe me, so she shook her head and I saw her close her eyes.
Taking this as my queue, I left her and looked up at the moon to see that it still hasn't been touched yet, so I decided that I would try to save the people that were still alive. There was a group of four demons enclosing a family, their eyes glowing with hunger as the mother sobbed and tried to plead for her children's lives, but that only intensified the hunger in their eyes.
I ran towards them as fast as my body could take me, and made it just in time to stab a demon that was ready to grab one of the children.'What is up with demons and children!' I thought incredulously as the demon disintegrated. The grunt that their fellow demon friend had let slip had all the attention on me and looking at their eyes, there was only hatred in them, and even though I was scared out of my mind, I sealed it and waited for one to attack.
They all watched me closely in a predatory stance, waiting for the moment to pounce on its prey, being me. The demons all looked different, one had small horns on its forehead, with orange reptile skin, and bright yellow eyes. The other two had black reptile skin and glowing orange eyes, and the friend that I had killed had dark slimy green skin and glowing blue eyes. I never thought that there would be different kinds of demons, I thought that they would all look like the ones I saw in the park.
Finally, one had decided to lunge at me, and my heart was beating fiercely from fear and my brain felt dead, but my body had a mind of its own as it moved with agile and turned me around to face its back, at the last second and I stabbed it's head, and then pulled it out to stab it in the heart because it didn't die from the stab to the head. "Two down, two more to go," I said with a sinister smile, I was already getting used to it.
"Don't let yourself be consumed by the darkness,"Â Gabriel said in my head, and when he said that, I felt the dark hole in me start to disappear, and that was when I realized that I was indeed going to let the darkness consume me. I shook my head and whispered thanks before looking at the two demons that I had left. I looked to the side to see that the family were still huddled together looking at us with wide eyes, so I yelled at them to leave as I handed them a feather and told them what to do. They shook their heads frantically and scurried away.
When the two demons saw their prey run away, they hissed at me and then looked at each other, and before I knew it, they both came at me at the same time. 'Cowards!' Was my thought as I quickly dogged an attack and cut off one of the demon's arms. It screamed as black liquid oozed and sprayed from the cut, but to my astonishment, the arm started to grow back.
I was so distracted that I didn't realize that the other one was behind me, and it grabbed my hair, pulling me off the ground. "Who do you think you are?" It hissed at me as it grabbed my throat. Black spots started to form in my vision as I desperately tried to get as much air as possible into my lungs, but soon enough my eyes closed and my last breath left me.
"Do not give up child." A deep commanding voice said and I was confused because it wasn't Gabriel's voice.
"Who is this?" I asked and realized that I wasn't struggling anymore, I didn't even feel like I was being strangled.
"God, of course, you must stay strong, you are one of my special creations, that took me a century to create someone so special." He said and I felt like my whole world was turned 180 degrees as heard this.
"What are you talking about?! If I was so special why did you let someone like that be my father! And curse me with hearing impairment?!" I was so livid, even though I knew that God is very powerful, I was too mad to care.
"I made you child and sent you out into this world, who you were born to be not planned, and I am sorry that you went through all that, but right now destiny calls you, and you must be strong to bring him back." That was the last I heard of him before my eyes opened and I gasped for air, like a fish out of water.
I was laying on the ground, my body was glowing yellow and the pain I felt on my neck slowly went away. I looked up at the moon to see that the black circle touched the moon and it was close to being half covered. 'How long have I been out? I definitely can't die again.'
I killed all of the demons and saved the people on my way to the raging demon, and when I had finally killed the last one in the area, I looked up to see that the moon was half-covered now. I didn't know where he was, so I needed to hurry up, because I didn't know how long it would take me, to get to him.
When I rounded the corner of a house, I saw what seemed to look like a portal, there was a black circle swirling around in the middle of the yard, the only reason I thought it was a portal was when I saw demons come out of it.'Maybe that's where he went.' I thought and then quickly ran to the portal and jumped while closing my eyes, hoping that where ever I landed, wasn't my death my bed.
When I jumped through, I landed on something soft and an 'oomft' escaped my lips as I landed. When I opened my eyes I was surprised to see that I landed on a bed, 'how ironic.' When I looked up from where I came from, the black swirl disappeared. 'There's no going back now.' I thought as I got off the bed.
I opened the door to the room slowly to keep it from creaking, peaked outside the door to make sure there weren't any threats, and when the coast was clear I tiptoed my way through the hallway, and I was passing double doors but then I stopped when I heard a booming voice.
"What do you mean she's not there! I thought you said you killed her, how is her body gone!" He boomed and then I heard murmuring from whoever he was talking to. The double doors were opened just the slightest and I peeked through just to see who was in there. My heart throbbed as I looked at the man that I fell in love with, his black hair was all over the place, he had a white shirt on, some of the buttons were opened, letting me have of view of his chiseled chest, with black business pants.
My automatic response was the heat that sizzled ten times than it used to in between my legs, and a low whimper escaped my lips. 'Brooks, snap out of it, this is not the time to feel horny!' I snapped at myself and right then I saw him lift up his head, sniffed, and then it snapped towards me and I saw his eyes momentarily turn to grey before it turned back to the burning red when they landed on the crack in the door. 'Does he know I'm here?' I was answered when I saw his eyebrows furrow together as they still looked my way.
'I need to get out of here, I can't face him when he looks like that.' When that resolve came to my mind, I saw him start to head my way. My heart instantly skyrocketed and I bolted from the door, heading anywhere that was away from him.
I ran down only to reach a dead-end, but there was a door to my right, so I quickly opened it and hopped in, I gasped when I saw a picture of me painting on my balcony on a mirror. 'Great, did I just go in his room?' I asked myself and to my luck, I heard soft footsteps getting closer and closer.
My heart slammed against my chest when I heard the footsteps stop in front of the door and I quickly hid under the bed. The door slammed open, making me jump slightly in my hiding spot as I held on to my mouth to try to calm my breathing. I watched as his feet moved was slightly more apart than when someone is walking normally and assumed that he was probably in his defensive stance, which means he knows there is an intruder.
The feet disappeared behind another door, which was probably his bathroom and I was going to try to get out until his feet came out into view again, and I quickly grabbed my arm from exposure. He opened his closet door, and then when he thought there was no one in his room, he grunted and then headed into the bathroom.
I waited for a few minutes not sure what to do until I heard the sound of a shower turning on. I took that as my queue to leave and I crawled my way out from under the bed. I got to the front of the door and was about to grab the doorknob when something grabbed my hair roughly and threw me across the room making my body make an indent in the wall, and I groaned in pain.
"Are you that arrogant, that you think a mere human like you could fool me?" He hissed. He was still in human form, I didn't meet his eyes as I whimpered, his human form made me weak, I couldn't risk looking up at him, but my determination gave me strength.
I looked up at him and got on my knees as I ignored the protesting of my back. "Please let him go! Salvador come back! Please!" I pleaded, but he only smirked his red eyes gleaming with amusement. "Foolish human, he is gone." He said sternly, but I shook my head in protest. "No, he isn't! I saw him when you looked my way a few seconds ago." I said and he gave me a menacing look that quickly turned into a smirk.
"It's only a few minutes before the apocalypse is officially started." He said as he pointed to a globe on his desk that showed that the moon was basically almost covered. "No, Salvador, please! Please remember all of the memories we shared together!" I screamed at him and I saw his eyes flash grey in a second and then back to red.
He shook his head and then shot me a glare with his lips turning up in disgust, and in a flash he had me suspended in the air by my throat as he hissed at me. "I will get rid of you once and for all!" He seethed as he stared at me with hatred.
"I love you Salvador!" I yelled before I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, and I looked down as I choked on blood to see that he had stabbed me with my dagger and the pool of blood around the dagger got bigger and bigger as the seconds ticked by. The pain started to subside as every part of my being started to shut down and my mind welcomed the darkness forever.
