The Shadow Realm was definitely unlike anything that Elliot could have ever imagined.
Like their own realm, they had stars and planets.
However, unlike their realm, all of them looked ethereal!
âUh. Why do the stars and planets look that way?â Elliot asked Elise Sands.
âI personally do not know much. I have made forrays into the Shadow Realm, but this is my first real mission here. As far as I knoe, the denizens here are mostly what we call âSpiritsâ back in our own realm. They look ethereal to us, but only to us.â Elise Sands explained.
âReally? The shadow primal I killed looked plenty real to me.â Elliot remarked.
âOf course. Thatâs probably an invasion grade warrior of the Shadow Realm. They are already modified so that they were able to make the strongest impact in our realm.
âI see. So that is an invasion grade planet? But that doesnât look like a military production planet though.â Elliot said as his eyes finally caught sight of a planet that wasnât ethereal and pointed at it.
âUh. Good point. Letâs get closer to find out more.â Elise Sands said softly and led Elliot towards it.
However, before they were able to cover even half the distance, a huge amount of ethereal warriors suddenly appeared out of nowhere and surrounded them!
âAmbush!â Elliot yelled. He immediately whipped up a powerful defensive sphere around them, a split second before impressive sounding blasts rocked it from every single direction.
âUh. Weak ambush.â Elliot couldnât help but clarify with a laugh as he finally determined the strength of the ambushers.
âGarrison soldiers. We probably triggered some sort of alarm. Donât let your guard down, and prepare to kill the Primal with your nuclear fusion.â Elise Sands warned.
âSure. By the way, I have these Rings of Absolute Stealth. Would they work here?â Elliot asked as he ignored the continuous explosions that were ringing out all around him.
âNo. In the Shadow Realm, our life energy light up like fireworks in the middle of the night. The Ring would not help us here. We need to proceed without stealth.â Elise Sands shook her head.
âYou donât have any stealth skills that could cover our approach?â Elliot asked in amazement.
âI have stealth skills, but none would work here. The Shadow Rea- wait a minute.â Elise Sanda frowned as she finally remembered that she had mastered an Ascendant Rune.
She carefully but very quickly modified her Spell Framework using the Ascendant Runeâs principles, and thenââ¬Â¦
Whoosh.
They disappeared.
With their disappearance, the Shadow Realm defenders lost their targets, and they immediately stopped firing.
âExcellent! Truly a wondrous rune.â Elise Sands sighed in pleasure. âLetâs go and check out that planet.â
âLetâs go.â Elliot agreed.
Without the Shadow Realm soldiers blocking their way, the two managed to reach the planet quickly and landed on the highest peak they could find.
âItâs a life planet. And filled with sentient life forms. Howeverââ¬Â¦ they are not militarized. Heck, they arenât even armed. Just what in the world is thisââ¬Â¦â Elise Sands thought aloud as she surveyed the entire planet with her senses.
Elliot did the same thing, and studied the planet quietly next to her. However, unlike Elise Sands, an uncomfortable feeling had already bloomed in his heart.
Quadrupeds that looked like a horrifying mix of lions, cows and human beings filled the entire planet evenly with primitive villages.
All throughout the planet, a portion of the quadrupeds were moving almost simultaneously towards the north and the south.
âBreeding planet.â Elliot said softly.
Elise Sandsâ eyes widened.
And as she traced the quadrupeds north, her eyes widened even more as she noticed an utterly massive purgatory-like area where all of the quadrupeds ended up in.
A strange but massive machine hovering overhead would suck their life force and cause their bodies to shrivel, and the quadrupeds would then fall into the fire pit to get completely incinerated.
It was a pure, life energy breeding planet!
âThere wonât be any Primals here.â Elliot said grimly as the reality of the Shadow Realm started to sink in his mind.
âThis should be a terraformed low level life energy breeding planet for them.â Elise Sands agreed. âIt must be destroyed, but it is not our main target. Let us continue our search.â
Under Elise Sandsâ stealth spell, they quickly made their way around the area.
According to Primal Alexanderâs data, there was an important military production planet nearby.
It didnât take them long to finally find what they were looking for. In fact, it actually wasnât possible to miss it.
The military production planet was utterly MASSIVE.
By Elliotâs rough estimate, it was at least a thousand times bigger than the sun!
With their sharp eyes and senses, they instantly discovered that millions of spacecraft were being assembled at rapid speed on the planet.
Not only that, a massive facility that looked like they were churning out clones also stood proud and tall, covering at least half the planet.
Elliot frowned and scrutinized that particular facility to do a rough count.
âWhat the hellââ¬Â¦â He could only breathe out in frustration as his mind ended up with an impossibly large number.
âA billion clones a day.â Elise Sands said grimly.
âWe need to destroy this planet.â Elliot nodded and started to scan for a suitable Primal to serve as the raw material of his crude but highly effective nuclear explosion.
âOk, thereâs definitely a Primal here. Maybe even a Saint. Just donât tell me that the damned God of Tricks Blytoros is here.â Elise Sands muttered softly as she continued to behold the planet in awesome wonder.
But Elise Sands must have been a prophet of doom in her previous life because at that moment, a booming laughter could be heard resounding around them!
âHA HA HA! WE HAVE VISITORS FROM OUR NEIGHBOURS ABOVE!!â A voice which sounded impossibly loud rang out with great force!
âI, BLYTOROS THE MAGNIFICENT, BID YOU WELCOME! HA HA HA HA HA!!â
âDamn it old woman! Look at what youâve done!â Elliot cursed at Elise loudly.
