With Elliotâs awakened red dragon energy, there was no need for Elliot to take part in the battles himself.
Within two quick minutes, sixteen Dark Brainwyrm Hegemons were killed.
Within three minutes, all twenty were no more.
There were no need to talk about the hundred or so Emperors who had died very ignoble deaths as mere collateral damage between the vicious battle between the Kings and the Hegemons.
It was a clean house.
âVery well done.â An impressed voice sounded right next to Elliot.
Elliot blinked lazily and merely smiled.
âYouâre not surprised that I am here.â Came the voice again. He sounded like he waa making an observation instead of asking a question.
âOnly Ancients can drive away other Ancients.â Elliot said with a simple shrug. âI owe you my life.â
âOwe me your life?â Came the amused voice. âI did nothing except to show up, and under anotherâs orders, at that.â
âFor beings at your level, showing up at such a low level fight is already a huge favor.â Elliot smiled with a slight tinge of bitterness in his voice.
âHahahahahaha! You truly are a unique being. You know your place very well, yet at the same time, you are also nearly as powerful as me. Impressive!â At that, a beautiful woman appeared next to Elliot.
Elliot, who had remained staunchly cool and unmoving in the past few minutes during the clean up and the subsequent appearance of the strange voice, widened his eyes in surprise.
He truly didnât expect the owner of the voice to be a young female human being, and one that looked so warm, so sweet, and so perfectly beautiful at that!
âYou⦠youâre a human being?! And a woman??â Elliot asked in shock.
âWhy the surprise? You werenât thinking that youâre actually the strongest human in the universe, were you?â The drop dead beauty smiled slyly at Elliot and caused his heart to race ever so slightly with her breathtaking charm.
âAnd yes, I am a woman. I thought itâs pretty obvious. Have you not seen a woman for so long that you actually forget how one looks?â She teased Elliot lightly.
âA human Ancient level powerhouse.â Elliot ignored her quip and narrowed his eyes as he glowered at her. âCare to tell me where you were when they did this to our planet?â
âHahaha!â The woman burst out laughing in a peal of pleasant sounding laughter.
âOur planet?â She raised one eyebrow at Elliot and smiled. âWe are both human beings, but this pathetic excuse of a planet isnât mine.â
Elliot stared at her quietly as his brain took in the startling information and processed its deep reaching consequences.
âHow many-â
âMany.â
âHow str-â
âStronger than you.â
âWhere-â
âNone of your business.â
Elliot snapped his mouth shut and frowned deeply.
âWhy are you here?â Elliot asked, slightly glad that he actually got to finish one full sentence.
âAs I said, I am here under orders to save your life.â She smiled enigmatically.
âSave my life? At all costs?â Elliot asked as an excellent idea began to form in his mind.
âWell, not at all costs per se⦠butâ¦â
âGood. If thatâs the case, then save me properly.â Elliot said and took out the Tear of the Gods. âRed, we have an Ancient here. Now make me that armor set you talked about.â
The beautiful Ancient level powerhouse glanced down lazily for a quick second before doing a double take on the inconspicuous lump of metal on Elliotâs hand.
âIs⦠is thatâ¦â She stammered lightly.
âYes, itâs a Tear of the Gods.â Elliot said rather smugly.
âI know what it is!â She snapped. âBut this particular one⦠where did you get this from?â
âWhy?â Elliot asked her calmly.
âJust answer the question.â The beautiful human Ancient said quietly. A thin veneer of killing intent covered her entire body at that moment as she glared at Elliot.
However, Elliot merely looked at her calmly and ignored her intensifying glare.
Finally, after a few seconds, she gave in and retracted her killing intent.
âFine. You win. Youngsters nowadays donât have any respect for their elders.â She sighed. âAnd you, young man, are the worst of the lot. At least with the others, I could scare them into spilling everything they know. Every. Little. Thing. From when they lost their virginities to how many times they do it every day. But you⦠your balls are made of iron. You donât scare easily at all. Itâs such a horrible trait to go with disrespect.â
The beautiful Ancient shook her head helplessly at Elliot.
Elliot, on the other hand, couldnât help but wince lightly at such inelegant words coming out from such pretty lips.
âHe got it from the randomized reward selection.â ElâTarasâ voice rang out suddenly near them.
âHooo. Boss, you still have the mood to watch this game? Why arenât you putting out fires? Donât worry too much about things here. I got it all covered.â The beautiful woman said to her boss very casually. âAnd he actually got it from randomized reward selection? With such ridiculous odds? Thatâs a statistical impossibility, especially after he got the Red Dragon Blood Essence. Something is definitely wrong here.â
The beautiful Ancient narrowed her eyes and leaned forward to sniff at Elliot. She immediately wrinkled her nose in disgust.
âJust a common earthling who hadnât bathed for days. Bah.â She spat.
âHey! I am not that smelly.â Elliot protested mildly.
âDamn right youâre not. If youâre not smelly, then shit would be edible.â The beautiful ancient said much to Elliotâs distress.
âYouâre kidding right? With this particular Tears of the Gods?â Lady Balastiera said flatly.
âI am serious. Please do that for him, and please keep him alive for the next eleven months. I am counting on you.â Chairman ElâTaras said.
âWHAT? ELEVEN MONTHS? YOU SAID ONE WEEK!!â Lady Balastiera roared in surprise and in anger at Chairman ElâTaras!
But alas, Chairman ElâTaras had cut off communications!
