The answer to his current predicament was clear.
Massacre and Ascendant Runes.
He needed to massacre more powerful beings to reach the very peak of King level, and then he needed to master the art of drawing Ascendant Runes into his bodyâs energy pathways to create the mystical River of Ascendant Runes which he had just discussed with Jessica Sands.
âBrother, that was so, so, so scary!â Jessica gasped as she plopped down to the dusty ground in relief. âWe almost died there! When his power locked up my movements, I was so close to despair!
Jessica was starting to tremble slightly as the emotional aftermath of such a terrifying encounter finally kicked in.
Elliot nodded grimly and knelt down to hug his sister.
âDonât worry. Thatâs one Hegemon that wonât be showing his face anywhere near you in the near future. We donât have to worr-â
Tingle.
Elliotâs sixth sense began to tingle slightly as he sensed enemies rapidly approaching his position.
âEnemies are coming. His Emperor level cronies, most likely.â Elliot said gently to Jessica.
âEmperors? I am plenty strong now, especially after you gave me those Life and Death Seeds. But against Emperors⦠I am not sure I can take on even one.â Jessica said nervously. âWe should escape while we still can!â
âNo. You have the power to kill them. I am sure of it. But donât worry about that for now. You donât have to do anything.
I will kill them all right here and right now. With my current strength, I do not need to run from mere Emperors any more!â Elliotâs eyes narrowed and a deeply murderous aura began to emanate from him.
âCome out, all of you, and kill all of them for me.â Elliot said with a voice so soft that it sounded like a whisper.
But the killing intent contained within it was as sharp as a scalpel.
Space cracked from all around him as his Beast Apostles and Tamed Beasts stepped out of their Realm Portals.
After getting his system upgraded, it appeared that his beast storage dimension had moved to a different place.
A different realm, even.
His beasts no longer appeared in a swirl of energy, but through full blown Realm Portals! Even his Beast Apostles who were located somewhere within the same planet as him appeared via Realm Portals.
Elliot didnât really understand how his system worked in that sense, but he was happy to accept the change.
Afterall, all of his beasts had grown much stronger after the system upgrade.
âEmperors. Eight of them.â Wu Kong said casually. âIâll take four.â
âIâll take two.â Frosty said and immediately took to the skies.
âNo! Donât be selfish, you stupid wolf. Share! I want one!â Brock shouted indignantly.
âYou? Youâre a punching bag. You can take a ton of hits, but youâre still too weak to kill an Emperor effectively. Just stay out of this one.â Winter said in a casual voice with absolutely no regard for Brockâs feelings.
âWhat? I dare you say that again, you ugly wolf!â Brock roared with unbridled fury.
âWhy wouldnât I not dare? Youâre a meat bag. You canât kill a half dead Emperor to save your life.â Winter drawled.
âMeat bag? You said punching bag earlier! Make up your damn mind!â Brock was so angry that his nose quivered.
However, as the two of them wasted their time arguing, Rom had silently took to the skies after Frosty and went straight for the two remaining unclaimed Emperors.
Roar! Bam! Boom! Slash! Crash!
The battle was soon joined between Elliotâs highly enhanced Darklight Beasts and the Emperors of Fortune Hermit Mountain.
Brockâs and Winterâs sharp ears immediately caught the distinct sounds of ELEVEN warriors fighting instead of ten.
Whoâs the final fighter?
Both snapped their mouths shut and whirled to look at the battle.
âROOOOOOMMMM!! YOU THIEF! YOU ROBBER! BRIGAND! BANDIT! CRIMINAL! HANG HIIMMMM!â Brock howled in distress.
Winter merely chuckled and sat down to watch the show.
Elliot rolled his eyes at his two tamed beasts.
He knew them too well to believe for a moment that they were truly aggrieved by the missed opportunity to fight with Emperors.
Knowing Brock, it was definitely all an act. Winterâs involvement with Brockâs little play was slightly surprising. But still, you hang out with a bear long enough, it wouldnât be surprising if you started to enjoy eating honey and salmon.
In this case, Winter was starting to learn and enjoy just lazing around while her buddies put in the work.
But Elliot didnât pursue the matter. He was completely intrigued by the confidence that his beasts were showing. Wu Kong, Elliot knew that he was strong. He could even resist a Hegemonâs might! But fighting against four Emperors⦠that required a heck of confidence.
And Frosty, her showing against Bulltarok the Fire Apostle was quite impressive. But was it enough to deal with not one, but TWO Emperors?
And Rom⦠Ever since Romarok the Dark Brainwyrm had chosen to hibernate and release full control of the body back to Rom, he had been extremely eager to get into fights. Probably to vent his pent up feelings. But venting against creeps was one thing, fighting against two Emperors was a completely different thing altogether.
All in all, Elliot was extremely intrigued. Just how strong were his beasts after the system upgrade?
He first studied Wu Kongâs fight. Against four Emperors, if anything were to go wrong, it would be Wu Kongâs fight first.
Wu Kongâs Feral Judgement was already unleashed and judging by the fearsome clash of energies, he was also already hammering at the four Emperors with his Darklight Energy.
WHAM!
Wu Kongâs rod smashed against a massive war hammer that was flung at him by a burly Emperor with a brown crown on his head!
âHmph! You dare fight against four of us by yourself? Courting death!â He snorted as his war hammer disappeared and appeared once more in his hands.
Next to him, a short dwarf-like Emperor with long brown beard released a strange looking net that had five beast figures attached to its five corners.
âPenta-God Hell Prison!â The dwarf Emperor shouted a cool sounding name as he flung the net at Wu Kong.
