Chapter 221 Kill Yourself

“Darklight Energy at its core is completely different from the energies found in this world.

It can slice through Living Armor. I did that to Divine Fighter.

It is impervious to most of the energies of the world. My Darklight Warriors did that against his Emperor level cronies.

The key here is that Darklight is qualitatively superior to the energies of this world. The only reason Aunt Hillary could overwhelm Wu Kong, and now this Second Senior Brother can lock me down is simply… volume.

They are wielding much, much more energy compared to me! And so if I can increase my Darklight Energy dramatically in a short amount of time, I can break out of this lockdown!

The only question is… How do I do that in this situation where I can’t even circulate my energy?”

Elliot’s mind raced at the speed of light even as Second Senior Brother was threatening him with bodily harm and certain torment before a painful death.

“I will give you a chance to cut short your torment by telling me all I want to know now. Talk!” Second Senior Brother snapped at Elliot. He released a little bit of his suffocating aura, just enough for Elliot to regain his ability to speak.

“Let the girl go. She has nothing to do with it. Let her go, and I will tell you everything. You can kill me afterwards, I don’t care.” Were the first words out of Elliot’s mouth.

He would feel much better knowing that Jessica was safe. And the negotiations with Second Senior Brother would also waste a little bit of time.

He hoped that in that time, Jessica, Jul’Taras and Monkey King would be able to get back to their Diamond Sponsor VIP Room and find out about his predicament. And although it was a long shot, he was hoping that they could do something about it.

But with how Director Sands was so adamant in making sure that nothing impacts the betting odds directly, he doubted that his three new friends could do anything.

Not unless they dared to go against his express wishes.

“Hahaha! You wish to negotiate with me, even in your current situation? Folly! Look! Even your female friend knows better than you. She’s frowning fiercely. Let’s hear what she has to say about all this, shall we?” Second Senior Brother laughed and loosened his hold over Jessica as well.

“You dumbass. Stop acting strong! The source of his power is me. Didn’t you see how my skill, even though it is merely at King level, managed to cause you so much trouble? I can not only tell you about it, I can even grant you that power. Let him go, and I will do all that for you.” Jessica lied smoothly through her teeth.

Elliot’s jaw dropped at Jessica’s incredulous claims.

“Hooo. You two seem to care a lot about each other. Very good. It makes my job easier. Let me test your words first then, little girl. Tell me your secret, or in three seconds, I will tear out this boy’s right arm. Don’t worry, I will allow him to scream so you can hear his agony.” Second Senior Brother chuckled evilly and stretched out his hand towards Elliot’s right arm.

“No! Stop! Don’t hurt him!!” Jessica screamed in horror.

Instantly, Second Senior Brother’s hand stopped.

A slight sense of wrongness settled in Elliot’s mind. Second Senior Brother’s reaction to Jessica’s words seemed far too… instant.

It felt as though he was… obeying Jessica’s orders?

A second later, the absolute expression of shock that appeared in Second Senior Brother’s face confirmed that his suspicions were not unfounded.

“What’s happening?” Second Senior Brother asked in a voice filled to the brim with surprise.

“Order him to release us.” Elliot said to Jessica quietly.

“Release us now!” Jessica immediately did as Elliot said.

Whoosh.

Second Senior Brother’s body reacted before he could even voice out a word of protest and his suffocating Hegemonic aura was immediately retracted.

Elliot and Jessica were free!!

“What!! Impossible!!” Second Senior Brother roared in fury. He forcefully released his Hegemon aura once more, and this time with destructive power.

BOOM!!

An invisible power so vast and so full of malice exploded out of Second Senior Brother and caused every single living being within a radius of a kilometer around him to be evaporated. Trees disappeared and rocks turned to dust.

Even the cave where Elliot and Jessica was hiding earlier completely disappeared under the Hegemon’s burst of rage!

But through it all, Elliot and Jessica remained completely untouched.

Second Senior Brother’s degree of control over his power was so fine that leaving them out of his destructive rage was as easy as flipping over his hand.

He had spared Elliot and Jessica’s lives even though it was totally against his will to do so!

It was clear.

Jessica’s Black Phoenix Goddess Sacrifice had worked! Not completely, of course, as Second Senior Brother still retained his control over his mind. But partially, and in that current situation, it was all the two siblings needed to stay alive.

“Try ordering him to kill himself.” Elliot said coldly, much to Second Senior Brother’s disbelief.

“The audacity! Did he really think he could kill a hegemon this way?” He thought incredulously.

However, he also didn’t want to risk his life by prolonging his exposure to Jessica.

“Kil-“

Before Jessica could even finish uttering her first word, Second Senior Brother had disappeared from their sight.

“-l… yourself.” Jessica finished her sentence and sighed at the empty space in front of them.

Ecstasy that they made it out of the situation alive, exhilaration that Jessica’s skill was so powerful and so effective, furious that he was caught so completely helpless once more, and pure fire coursing through his veins enhancing his already psychopathic determination to get stronger into the realm of mild insanity.

He could not accept nor could he bear the thought of being so helpless in the face of a hostile power bent on taking his life and the lives of the ones he loved!
