Shu Yan paid particular attention behind herself and didnât noticed anything. She has, again, saw Feng Zeyu after she got onto the bus.
After she has gotten off of the bus, she ran over to Feng Zeyu and asked, âYou were outside of the shop the entire time?â
âIâm not too busy these few days so I thought Iâd hang out around your shop.â Feng Zeyu frowned a little and said, âYou donât want to be seen with me right now.â
âI donât think we need to be this worried. I think the chance of them finding me is pretty slim. You can... just keep me company on my new few trips to City Han.â
âItâs fine. Oh, yeah, Duoduo had woken up and he asked me to thank you for him after finding out that you were the one who saved him.â Feng Zeyu changed the subject.
Shu Yan didnât know what to say. She hesitated for a little bit and asked, âAny news on the kidnappersâ end?â
âI donât know much about that either. I trust that my friend will let me know when it is resolved.â That information was need-to-know only. As much as Feng Zeyu was a comrade, his friend couldnât possibly tell him much.
âSorry. I didnât mean to rush you.â They had just arrested the two yesterday afternoon. It was not possibly for them to have arrested the rest of the gang by now.
âThatâs quite normal. Donât worry. I have arranged for a couple of my people to keep an eye out at the school as well. I wonât let anything happen.â
âYou have arranged for men around my childrenâs schools as well?â Shu Yan gave him a surprised look.
âYes. They are all veterans so you can relax.â Feng Zeyu gave Shu Yan a look and said, âYou go pick up your merchandizes. Donât worry that I will lose you.â
Shu Yan hesitated for a little. âWhy donât you walk with me? Itâs too difficult for you to follow behind me.â
Feng Zeyu shook his head. âNo, that wonât be right.â
That wonât be right? Shu Yan wanted to say something else but Feng Zeyu had always walked away from her. It was long before Shu Yan had lost sight of him.
In the following few days, Shu Yan couldnât even pick up any traces had it not been him being on the bus with her.
She needed to return to the hospital today. She had already completed the three treatments of the Chinese herbal medicines. She wanted to find out if she needed to have more.
The treatment was very effective. Shu Yan could tell that the symptom of her cold sweat had been much alleviated. She no longer shivered all the time like she used to. The only drawback was how disgusting it tasted. It stunk and was bitter. Even just thinking about the taste, it was enough to give Shu Yan acid reflux and made her want to vomit.
âMuch better. You wonât need to take the medicines anymore. Just watch your diet. You should avoid anything icy or spicy,â said the old doctor to her after he had taken her pulse.
Shu Yan could avoid icy food, but avoiding spicy food would be difficult for her.
âOccasionally is fine. Just not excessively,â said the old doctor as he casted her a look and had her stick out her tongue for him to see. âIâll give you some more herbs for you to soak your feet in.â
âOkay.â After having the herbal medicine, her period was more normal; she was not cold all the time, and even her cheeks were rosier than before. But her spots remained. She asked the doctor, âAny herbal medicines for the spots?â
âYou wanted them removed? That would be difficult.â The old doctor shook his head.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Sure enough. Wanting to have some sort of magical pill that would give her beautiful skin like how it was described in novels was unrealistic.
She suddenly recalled a customer suggested laser spot removal to her in the past. She should go find out more about it when she has time.
Since she was at the hospital, she decided to also go and weigh herself. 132 pounds. She had lost 9 pounds in a month. No wonder Wu Xiuyue said she had lost weight. She pinched her stomach and it was still pretty chunky. She got more work to do.
Walked outside of the hospital with her herbal medicines in hand, she spotted Feng Zeyu under a tree not too far away from her. Shu Yan ran over to him.
âI didnât go to the shop today. You didnât need to follow me.â Shu Yan started to feel bad. She thought he was only going to follow her on her way to and from work. As it turned out, he was following her around day and night the last few days. She felt safe, but also somewhat uneasy at the same time.
âItâs fine.â Glancing at the Chinese medicines that Shu Yan was carrying in her hand, he asked, âAre you not feeling well?â
âNo, just to regulate my body.â She didnât want to elaborate too much to him about feminine issues. âYou know, we have never introduced ourselves this entire time. Letâs do it official now. My name is Shu Yan. Shu as in comfortable and Yanas in color.â
âFeng Zeyu. Fu as in square, Ze as in being blessed, and Yu as in universe.â
