Chapter 35- fight.

"She sees in black and white, thinks in greys but loves in color"

I wake up feeling refreshed. Damian left early this morning at 8 and now it's 11. I slept real good. I get up to use the loo then brush my teeth obviously going back to bed and grabbing a book. Buddy comes and lays with me while I read 'they both die at the end'. It's a good book.

Finishing up the last page, i get up and start my day with a nice relaxing shower. Then I change into some leggings, a comfortable red sweatshirt and some black fluffy socks. I don't believe in shoes.

While I'm deciding what to do my phone rings. I don't get many phone calls usually it's the idiot calling about where I am or if I want coffee. I got him into the caramel vanilla coffee from Starbucks and now he goes there a lot.

I look at the call and quickly answer.

"Hello"  i excitedly say.

"Hey rose we haven't talked in a while i miss you. what are you up to, how's school" a smile forms on my face. Ive missed my brother so much.

"I missed you too I've been good and I'm going to university here My grades are great in case you're wondering"  I tell him excitedly now laying with buddy and benji on the floor.

"That's good news, your going for a vet right?" Alec asks me.

"Yea or a nurse I'm not sure yet anywho how's Lola" she's a cute German shepherd. I love her! before he can answer buddy growls from beside me. He never liked Lola, everytime I petted her he would lay right on my lap and whine.

"Tell buddy to stop with his jealousy but she's great we just adopted another dog we named him blue" blue I like it. It reminds me of Jurassic park. I should watch I-

" and before you think about it don't watch Jurassic park. You cried all day when blue died Rose" I gulp remembering. Blue was so cute it wasn't fair.

"I won't but I'm still upset, he didn't deserve that" i chide.

We go on to talk for about 30 more minutes then Alec goes back to work. After that phone call I call up my aunt and ask about her lasagna Recipe.

She explains it and I decide it's too complicated and that I'll just learn it next time I go over. There were so many steps I don't have time for that.

Well I do I have nothing else going on.

I make myself pancakes with egg and bacon instead and eat that for my breakfast. Once I'm done I clean up my mess and sit on the couch contemplating things.

I need a job.

I have all the money grandma left me which was a lot apparently grandpa was a successful mechanic and grandma was a nurse for the elderly then at 50 she stopped working. Grandpa died at 35 from cancer.

He was the best and grandma Ann always said his wish was for them to take me in and help me. Grandma made sure she did everything to make it happen and a year later she did.

I hear the door open and rush to it. Im met with a surprise when I see not just Damian but josh, aiden and Jake there. I wonder where gen, Sam and Ethan are.

I say hi and josh opens his arms and walks towards me. Smiling I open my arms but right as he gets close Damian shoves him and walks into my hug.

I look up giving him the 'really' look and he shrugs. "I missed you, I get a hug first" he mumbles in my hair. I give his shoulder a kiss and enjoy our short hug.

"Fucking gorilla I almost died" josh exlaims holding his head. I look to Jake and he's shaking his head head smiling. Aiden left to use the loo.

"Fat bitch" Damian grumbles back.

"Ex-fricking-scuse me, bestie your man is being so mean I think we need to leave him" josh tells me 'sniffling'

I bite back a laugh and open my arms. While hugging him he 'cries' into my shoulder and I look at Damian. "I can't believe you hurt my besties feelings dude, I can't be with someone who bully's my friends were done" I tell him clearing my throat.

His face turns into confusion and upset before I give him a smile and point to josh who's sniffles have gone quiet.

A small smile makes its way on to his face. "I don't care fucking leave with your shitty friends" he says angrily then smirks.

We're quite the actors.

Josh immediately stands up straight. "No guys I'm fine I promise there is no need to breakup. okay Rosaline I was not upset I'm used to the fat hippo being mean to me an-" he looks up and sees we're all laughing.

"Oh now I'm really going to cry I cannot believe this behavior. this is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous" josh huffs out causing me to laugh even more.

Aiden comes back and looks at me like I'm crazy. "Whad I miss" I shake my head and look at my love behind me. "We need to go to the store" Damians eyebrows furrow and I continue. "there's no more coffee"

He nods and grabs his keys. "Cmon hoes we're going grocery shopping" josh yells out.

Damian grabs my hand and leads me to the car opening the door. Once everyone's in we get there with of course me and josh singing our hearts out to traitor and the idiot I love telling us to 'fricking shut up'

"Okay just coffee and a few more items" I tell them. Damian and jake groan while josh and aiden happily skip with me to the entrance.

We wait for Damian and Jake then once they get there I grab a cart. An old lady is there so I smile at her, she smiles back and I get so happy inside.

"She smiled at me I think she likes me" I happily tell damian. "Be her friend" he reply's. I think about it but before I can approach her she leaves.

Well maybe next time.

I pull Damian to the coffee section with Jake pushing the cart and josh is in front of us with aiden. Once I see the creamer I rush to get it.

Closing the fridge door I turn around and bump into a guy. "Oops I'm sorry I didn't see you" I apologize giving him a smile.

"Watch out bitch" he grits out. Woah who peed in his cereal.

"Move out the way I need some fucking milk and your fattass is blocking the way" he yells at me.

As soon as he says that Damian is right on top of him punching him. Josh grabs my shoulders and pushes me in back of him. The other two are right next to him blocking my view.

I peek from between aiden and jakes shoulder and see Damian get up crossing his arms and the man struggling to stand. "Don't Ever Fucking talk to my girl or any other woman like that" Damian sneers down angrily.

The guy gives a look to who I believe is his friend and the friend shakes his head. Before Damian can walk away the guy punches him. Immediately damians jaw tenses and his nostrils flare. Oh he's furious.

He turns and gives the man one last good punch sending him down to the floor. I think he's unconscious.

"Hey the police are coming y'all need to get on out of here" a lady yells out. Josh turns to look at me blinking fast. Damian comes up next to me and I look at him excessing any damage on my goods. When I see none I give him a hug. "I love you dude" I mumble in his neck.

He taps my thighs and i wrap them around his waist. "I love you too, baby" be reply's softly. I look to the floor and see the guy there with a bloody nose and his friend rolling his eyes. Fricking mean b word.

Damian caries me through the store on his back because I hate walking and Jake checks out for me. After Damian sets me in the car I turn on my tunes and jam out all the way home.

"Well this was fun but we're gonna head on home" aiden tells us. We say our goodbyes and I lead Damian to the couch. He pulls me on his lap and I lay my head on his shoulder.

"You beat his butt" i say looking up at him.

"Mhmm I did" he replies casually. I give his jaw a quick kiss and contemplate on biting his cheek. I decide not to solely to the fact that he punched someone for me. Again I say, I should hire him as my bodyguard.

"He was just jelly of my big butt huh" I ask narrowing my eyes at the pillow remembering his crude words.

"He was a lowlife don't think about what he said okay? You're fucking perfect never think otherwise" Damian scolds. I nod and sigh. Maybe I should go on a run tomorrow.

"Rosaline say it" he says sitting up straight looking me in the eyes. "Say what?" That I'm a cool bean and could've knocked him out easily? "You're perfect and anyone who says otherwise can kiss my ass" he repeats.

I bite back a laugh and smile. "I'm perfect and anyone who says otherwise can kiss your big gigantic bootie" I tease. He gives my lips a smooch and I melt into his arms.

"I talk to my brother today" I remember about earlier.

"You miss him?" Damian asks twirling my hair around his finger. I think for a moment and nod. "Yep sometimes but it's okay as long as I get to talk with him a few times a week"

I'm just lucky we talk mostly everyday. "Tell me about him, you never talk about him" Damian utters out softly. "Well he's my brother and when I was 10 he was 16 and he became more like a father figure to me" I explain.

"And your dad" he speaks up cautiously. "Well Um he sort of never really cared much for me he wasn't the best father to me but to my sister, he treated her like a princess and loves her so much" i say thinking back to when I lived there.

"What about your mom?" Damian questions a bit upset. Well it's about to be more upsetting. "She was working a lot and when she was home she cared more of what my father wanted and told me to deal with it" She liked to say I exaggerated about everything.

"Well they're both shitty people, what else did they do" he questions with his eyebrows furrowed. Oh yes they are horrible. "My father had anger issues and most of the time took it out on me. My mother waved it off but eventually grandma Ann took me in" I say happily. I miss her.

"I wish I could've met her" he softly tells me. I nod my head and kiss his forehead. "Me too" I whisper out.

"Now tell me about your life" we're bonding. He looks in thought then shrugs. "My mom left and my dad was gone a lot but he still cared and loved me I guess, at 18 I moved out and now I'm a detective and work with police" he tells me.

"Well it's her loss you're an amazing person and she's missing out" I murmur. He looks down and gives me a genuine smile then leans down and kisses both corners of my lips.

Buddy and benji come out from where they were hiding and we stand. We head upstairs and change then get settled in bed.

I kiss buddy and benji good night and close my eyes. They open back up when I hear growling. "Little shit" Damian mumbles under his breath.

I turn and see buddy laying in between us. Chuckling I call buddy and he gets up then re locates at the end of the bed. Damian lazily throws an arm over my waist and gives my head a kiss.

"Goodnight my love" i chirp. "Goodnight" he replies tiredly. I close my eye and feel benji cuddle up to my leg. I love my boys.
