Chapter 27- benji.

"It beats. it breaks. it aches.  for you. Only you."

Zoo. That's where we're currently at. I dragged Damian here today because I really want to see some tigers and lions. Well the whole zoo.

"Damian look the monkeys, that one looks like you" I tease. He turns to the monkey and examines it. He's an odd fella.

"And you look like that bear" I look around quickly. I don't see any. Does he have super vision and can see them afar? "What bears" I ask irritated. If I don't see bears or tigers I will sue.

"Don't know" he shrugs then walks away from me. I ignore him and speed walk closer to him. I have to catch up or he'll leave and I'll be forced to fend for myself. What if I fall in?

"Wait for me dude" Damian entangles our hands and we continue looking. I see a sign that reads 'tigers to the left' While Damians on his phone I untangle our hands and rush that way.

I look behind and he's still looking down at the cellular device. Well then. I'll just steal a lion see if he notices. Hurrying I speed walk and turn spotting the tigers.

I want one.

I look at one and we make eye contact. I think this is destiny. We're meant to be best of friends. I look around then leaning down I cup my mouth and whisper not too quite but so only he can hear "don't worry fella im coming tonight to rescue you"

I nod repeatedly at the tiger with my eyes wide.

"Yep and we're going to rule the world well, we have to include buddy, you're going to love him" I smile and sit.

People walk by but they ignore me for the most part. The tiger is on the other side laying down. We're having a conversation.

"So you'll have to do your part and distract your tiger friends okay? We can't have them risk the oppe-"

"Rosaline" I hear someone shout my name and look up. Damian is jogging towards me.

"Where the fuck did you go?" I nod my head towards the tiger and smile widely like a creeper. I'm so excited I made a tiger friend.

"You could've told me i was looking all around this fucking place trying to find you" he says with annoyance. Suck it b word. He holds his hand out to help me up.

I sigh and frown. Slowly getting up I turn back and the tiger looks at me. "Goodbye I'll see you another time" I softly whisper to him or her.

Damian grabs my hand and we begin to walk but I see the sign. 'Meet our tigers they're fierce but can also be surprisingly playful'

Under that it has their names. I look for mine and spot her. It's a she and her name is nyla. I love it, I love her.

"Can we tigernap her?" I ask Damian slightly turning my head and looking up. He stares at me like he's trying to read me. I'm not a book fella.

"No" he deadpans. What a crude. I'm not sure what crude means but I'm positive it's not a good name. He pulls me along and since we've looked at all the animals we're heading to the car.

I don't care I'm coming tonight and stealing one.

"Can we go get Coffee?" I ask knowing the answer.

"No" of course. He says I drink too much. In my opinion you can never have too much of something.

"Dude I have school tomorrow what the heck am I supposed to do? What if no one wants to be my friend?" I ask panicking. I don't want to go.

"You'll be fine" he says waving me off. He should be the one worried. I can meet a nice rich fella and I'll Marry him and be a sugar baby. Hehe.

I'm only joking. I love Damian he buys me ice cream,that wins anytime for me.

"Oh my goodness look at that bird! I want to be a bird so I can fly wouldn't that be fun?" I turn in my seat and ask him.

He nods his head and I continue starring at random objects.

We're at a stop light and I spot a homeless lady with a doggy. My eyes immediately tear up. I quickly grab my purse and look through it feeling relief when I find a 50 dollar bill.

"Wait roll down the window" I tell him. I give the nice lady a smile and she comes up to me. "Here you go it's only 50 I wish I had more to give you" I tell her slightly bummed out.

The light is green but Damian went to the side a little. "Oh thank you sweetheart may god bless you both I appreciate it so much" she tells me. She's so sweet.

I bet we could be besties.

"You're welcome are you going to be here a while? I can bring more?" I ask her . She looks in thought. "Well I finally raised enough for a flight back home but sadly benji here can't come with" she explains.

My heart hurts for her. I don't know what I'll do if I had to leave buddy behind.

"Well i don't mind helping pay an extra ticket for benji!" Then they won't have to separated!

She gives me a sad smile. "I wish that was the case but I'm going to my cousins home. She's allergic to dogs and didn't let me bring him" she tells me.

I almost cry at this. I feel so bad.

"I'm sorry to hear that" I tell her a hand on my heart. She gives me a slow nod. "Yea well that's just how it's got to be"

I look at Damian and he looks at me like 'what the frick are you about to do'

"Well do you mind if I take him in?" I look into those puppy eyes and I'm in love. I don't want him to go with animal control they're mean dudes.

"Oh this would be wonderful can you? It will put my mind at ease to know he's in a happy wonderful home" she breaths out.

"Yes I don't mind!" My aunt and uncle wouldn't mind either. Maybe, I'm not sure actually.I will just hide him or keep him at Damians it will be fine.

"Okay well here you go" I see her struggle a bit to give him up and my hears hurts even more for her.

"He has his shots and I've done my best to keep fleas and all off him. Most of my money would go to him and I don't regret a single thing. I love you benj" she whispers out to him.

I smile sadly at her.

"I hope everything goes great for you" she gives me a wide smile and I see tears in her eyes. It's hard saying goodbye.

"Take care of him for me, oh and he loves belly rubs" she tells me. I nod and she backs away. I look at Damian and he gives me a genuine smile.

The doggy in my lap starts whimpering, it breaks my heart to hear him be sad. The tears immediately fall from my eyes. "Stop crying" he mumbles raising his hand to wipe the tears.

I sniffle. "I can't help it, I just witnessed a heartbreaking moment" I breathe out rubbing my eyes.

"Would it make you feel better if I got you coffee" Damian grumbles out. A smile immediately takes over my face and I nod rapidly. He sighs and we head over to Starbucks.

"I love you dude"

"I love you too" of course he loves me I put a potion on him.... Joking I don't even know how. I wish I did tho.

We're in the line now. "Into the unknown, into the unknown" I start singing randomly. I like doing that. It makes it fun when I'm in a random place and burst into song.

It's a game I like where random people look at me and I wink at them. My aunt told me to stop because it's embarrassing but of course I'm not listening. I do what I want, heck yes I do.

"Here now shut up" Damian rudely comments, handing me my drink. Oh he's being such a prude I'm about to punch him straight in the nose.

I raise my fist up and show him. "I'm fixing to put you in your place dude your going to need to contact my cousin for her nose surgeon after I'm done with you" I warn.

He dismisses my warning and flips me off. "Your pushing my buttons" he's fricken pushing my buttons reeeal hard.

He stops the car and I look at him confuzled. After he ignores me I look and see we're at his home. When did we get here?

Ehh don't know. I'm tired. I grab the new member of our family benji and head inside. Buddy can share a few of his belongings.

We go and get the mail then I happily walk inside. "Buddy" I call out. He comes happily then comes to a halt at the doggy in my arms.

Buddy sniffs him then barks once and runs away.

Okay then.

I go and grab some food and water to give to benji. He eats quite a bit and well I decide to have a snack so while he's eating I plop down next to him and eat too.

As I'm eating my hot funions buddy comes back down. He looks at the doggy and comes up next to me then again scurries off. An odd fella.

After the doggy's finished I try getting him to walk and he does but he's just so cute I pick him up and run up the stairs. We go inside Damians room and there they are.

Damian and buddy are sitting up looking upset. "Hello my wonderful boys" I greet sitting on the bed. Benji comes and cuddles up next to me while buddy is cuddled up next to Damian.

"Excuse me how dare you betray me buddy" I  dramatically sigh. "He likes me more" Damian teases.

He's fixing to have a black eye to match his black heart.

I glare at them."I don't need y'all I have benji" I look down at benji and smile. "Your so cute I love you so so much" I tell him in a baby voice.

I want a zoo full of doggies but they can be free and run around.

I fix myself up pretty comfy and cuddle benji. He doesn't oppose instead just licks my face. My back is facing the other dudes in the room so I can't see them.

They're jelly they can't see my wonderful face.

Speaking of face my mother has not called in quite some time. I called my father and it went straight to voicemail all 6 times. He probably has a busy schedule.

I huff and turn back around. Damian and buddy look comfy. "Let's do something fun" I tell him. He smirks and looks back at me. "I have a great fun activity we can do" he smirks some more poking the side of his cheek with his toungue.

I bite my lip to keep from smiling crazy. "Really? Okay im all in what is it? Hide and seek in the dark?" I ask very excited for this fun activity.

Hide and seek in the dark can be pretty intense. I played it once and made myself heard to be caught so I wouldn't stay in the dark alone. Scary times.

"Fucking shit" he mumbles rolling back down on his back. Did I ruin it? Was it a suprise?

Ehhh he can get over it. "Dude what are we doing?" I question annoyance clear in my voice. "Watching tv" my love responds.

"Let's play a game" I squeal excitedly. His eyebrows furrow and he sighs. "Okay" I sit up. This is going to be fun.

"Okay ready so we say 1 2 3 then say a word at the exact same time and try to get the same one" I explain. He nods and sits up still petting buddy. I pet benji.

"1 2 3 puppies"

"1 2 3 dirt"

"now find the similarities between them and we'll try again!"  I explain and he responds back with a simple okay.

"1 2 3 brown!"

"Chicken"

I frown. "Your supposed to count dude" I remind him. Maybe he forgot the rules?

He doesn't seem very Into the game. Oh wait I have an idea. I mentally cackle evilly. "Damian if you get one right ill give you an actual lap dance"

His eyes get big and I see them become full of lust. What a horn dog. "Promise" he narrows his eyes holding up his pinky.

Dear mother of god Jesus Christ please forgive me.

"I promise" I agree with both hands up. He smirks and nods hooking his pinky around mine.

"You only get one chance" I warn. He nods and has a sly smug face on. If I win I punch him. He doesn't know it but I'm doing it.

I'm definitely going to win he's so bad at this game. Honestly I can bet a million dollars that's how confident I am.

I take a breather then look into his eyes. "Ready?" I ask. He nods.

He's definitely not going to get what I'm about to say.

Hehe I'm funny.

"1 2 3 buddy"

"1 2 3 buddy"

Ha fricking loser he isn't get- wait.

"I win" he smirks. My mouth is open. "How did- what?" I ask. This cannot be a coincidink.

"You owe me a lap dance" he huskily whispers in a low husky voice. Gulp. Lord please help me.

"I- uh- um" I make a run for it. I get to the living room when I'm lifted up by the waist. "You pinky promised, love" as much as I love when he calls me love I'm about to embarrass myself.

He grabs a chair and sits with his legs spread out then grips my chin down and turns it. "I'm waiting" he whispers in my ear.

Well how the turned tables. Now I'm the horn dog.

Okay rosaline time to put those twerking lessons Abbie gave you in 10th grade to good use. I tell myself trying to get pumped up like if I have a game.

With all the courage I muster I turn and face him. I'm moving to Arkansas after this.
