Jayden has been a bit secretive these days Rachel, the worse thing is I can’t seem to get through to him it is like he has a wall built around him” Lina said and I sighed.

“Maybe he doesn’t trust you that much, Jayden is a bad man and definitely feels you are up to something Jax said and I couldn’t dispute the fact that he was making absolute

sense.

“After what he did to you, am sure he knows you can’t just get up and forgive him out of the blue. He might even have his eyes on you” I said and she sighed from the other end.

“I will talk to you guys later” she said and the line went dead from the other side.

“What is on your mind?”Jax asked as he walked to the other side of the room and poured himself a glass of strong wine.

“A lot, I feel like everything is getting out of hand Jax” I said honestly and he stared at me calmly.

“You worry too much” he said and I sighed softly.

“I can’t help it, there are a lot of ‘what if’s’ on my mind right now and am so scared” I said and tension filled the air as we just sat in an uncomfortable silence.

“What are you scared of? The fact that Xavier would find out about the truth?” he asked and my heart stung with pain.

Xavier finding out about the truth would not only break him, but it will break me too. Damien and Derrick doesn’t know the truth about Xavier being their biological father.

A lot of things are still buried deep in the walls of this pack, the more I find out about the truth, the more disgusted I become.

“The truth would eventually come out someday Jax, am just hoping that am mentally ready for what is going to happen when that time comes” I said and he sighed.

“Have you heard from your Dad?” he asked and I shook my head negatively.

“Nope, he hasn’t called or texted me for quiet sometime now. I have been very busy and didn’t get the time to check on him either” I said and Jax stared at me calmly.

“That is new” he said and I gave a nod.

“He has been shaken since we lost Gabriel Fernandez” I said and Jax raised his eyebrows.

“Were they that close?” he asked and I didn’t know what to say. What he just said made me think of different things.

Was Dad still mourning Gabriel Fernandez or there was more to his silence than what meets the eyes?

“Don’t think too much about it” he said and I gave a nod.

“It is getting late, you should get going if you don’t want Xavier to become suspicious” he said and I didn’t know what else to say.

Jax was right about everything he just said. Xavier had asked me the last time, and I believe he is already suspicious of my movement.

“Keep in touch and stay safe” I said to Jax as I made my way out of his place. We walked out together and I got into the car.

“The pack house” I said and the chauffaur drove towards the pack house.

Immediately I got into the house, I went straight towards our room to change and shower.

“Hey baby” I said to Xavier immediately I got into the room.

“Heyyyyyyy” he trailed while sited on the bed.

I stopped the movement as my eyes moved over to him. He looked angry, infact Xavier looked like he would soon burst out.

“Baby is everything okay?” I asked in concern.

“Everything is fine” he said and I shook my head.

“Everything is not fine, you won’t be acting like this if everything is okay” I said and he ran his fingers in his hair.

“You really want us to talk about this…” he trailed.

“Where are you coming from?” he asked and I opened and closed my mouth like a fish.

“Xa….veir what is the meaning of this? Since when did you start keeping tabs on me by asking for my whereabouts?” I asked trying my best not to be pissed off even if I was visibly shaking from the anger.

“You have been lying to me about going to work… he said and I could see the hurt in his eyes.

“I….”I trailed speechlessly.

“I went to your workplace…” he trailed and I could feel anger boil from the pit of my stomach

“You went to my workplace because you wanted to feed your insecurities by seeing for yourself that am cheating on you Right!” I raised my voice an higher octave.

“Don’t make this about you..” he trailed in hurt.

“Why?This is already about me, you just accused me of cheating on you Xavier Jason” I said as my voice broke at the edge.

Everything was just beginning to feel like the time he accused me of being murdering Carlos.

“I did not accuse you of cheating on me, do not put words in my mouth Rachel’ he said. and I scoffed in annoyance.

“You have been acting really wiered lately, like you are hiding something. I have tried. several times to get through to you but it is not working. Do you know how that makes. me feel?” he asked and tears rolled out of my eye.

“So all you could think of was the fact that I found someone else to replace you?”

“Is that what you think of me Xavier?” I asked and he stared at me speechlessly.

“You’re mad at me go ahead !” he bursted angrily and I opened and closed my mouth.

“Fine, you think am cheating on you, YES!” I screamed and his eyes flashed with hurt as he walked out of the room angrily.

My heart pounded crazily against my chest as my eyes stung with uncontrollable tears, I opened my mouth to say something but ended up bursting into tears.

Elroy walked down from the stairs as he dropped some files in front of Aunt Maggie who picked them up curiously, her eyes moved over from Elroy, to the files then back to Elroy.

“What idgoing on?” She asked and he sat down in front of her.

“My plans for the pack” he said and she smiled.

“I have always known you to be a smart guy son after all, an apple does not fall far from the ran the said and he smirked.

“How are things at the pack?” he asked and she sighed.

“A lot has been happening lately son, the crazy thing is I don’t know what is going on” she said and the expression on how face changed.

“I told you to be sensitive about your environment mom, see why I said you should always make them believe you are on their side? So they can reveal their secrets to you” he bursted angrily and she sighed.

“It is not easy to pretend to like people you’ll rather burn to death?” She asked and Elroy sighed.

“That is a bit harsh mom, I will rather watch them suffer” he said and they both laughed.

“You have been very supportive from the onset mom, trust me I appreciate you” he said and she smiled.

“I know you do and I have never been more grateful for having a son like you” she said. as she ran her hand on his face lovingly.

“Soon mom, soon we will have the pack to ourselves” he said and lit up a stick of ciggarrate.

“What is in the file?” She asked curiously.

“What I intend to do with the pack after resuming to the office as the Alpha” he said and she smiled.

“Impressive” he said and she chuckled.

“Rachel and Jayden have a lot of things planned out in their secret place for the pack son, we should be ten steps ahead of them” she said and he could hear the tension in her voice.

“You are scared for me?” he asked and she sighed.

“Son I’ve told you countless times to impregnate someone at least have an heir” she said. and he stared at her.

“Where is this coming from?” he asked with a frown on his face.

“Xavier has two sons, you told me yourself that Rachel plays a d*rty game. Having two sons for Xavier gives her the upper hand” she said and he chuckled bitterly.

“What is funny?” She asked and he puffed out smoke from his ciggarrate.

“You always underestimate me mother” he said and she stared at him calmly.

“What are you planning?” She asked and he sighed.

“Xavier would only shine if his heirs remain alive till next week” he said and Aunt Maggie stared at him in shock…

“Son” she said and his sinister laughter filled the air.

“Elroy…” she called and he didn’t say anything to prove that he would have a change of heart about it.

Aunt Maggie’s heart pounded crazily against her chest, as she tried to wrap her head around the fact that her son had such plans towards the innocent kids.

She said what she say to motivate him into getting someone special, even if his mate was not here yet. She just wanted him to at least impregnate someone, give her an assurance that the future of the pack being in safe hands.

Yet he had plans of killing Damien and Derrick at th same time.

“Elroy… she trailed as she tried to change his mind.

“Go home when you are done” he said as he made his way upstairs, she stood rooted on the spot.

Did she have the heart to watch those innocent kids die without doing anything to stop it?? This fight was against Xavier and the pack, not against the innocent children. She felt sick in the stomach.
