“Of course, I am sure, you worry too much” I said and he k*ssed my forehead.

“You are my woman, it ia my duty to take care of you” he said and I nearly sighed in

annoyance.

His duty to take care of me? this is the same man that watched me get framed in his own pack. The same man that let me sleep in the outhouse with my pregnancy that was already due for delivery, the same man that took my son away from me.

This same man, Xavier Jason of the Red blood pack was looking at me straight in the eyes and telling me it is his duty to take care of me. If he could not take care of me as his own mate, what makes him think he can take care of me as Rachel ?

“Welcome to the Moon stone pack Alpha Xavier” someone greeted him from behind and I pretended not to hear their conversation.

He turned around and beckoned on me to come. I walked over to him and the woman stared at me with a frown on her face.

“Lina and I are no longer together” he said and the woman seems to be very surprised by his straight answer.

“I will be right back baby” he said and I gave a nod as he joined the men. The ment walked over to the podium to begin the meeting while I stood scrolling through my phone.

I punched the guy back and we got into a bl oody fight, growling at each other as we fought for dominance.

“I will f ucking kill him!” I screamed in anger as they pulled me back blood dripped out

of my nose.

“Are you okay?” Rachel asked worriedly as she hugged me, she was literally shaking and I felt really bad for scaring her like that.

“We will be leaving for our pack” Jayden joined his hands together in respect as we made our way out of the hall.

I was quiet throughout the ride back to my mansion. Jayden didn’t come back with us, he stayed back to sought out a few things.

“What happened? why did you get into a fight with that man” she asked and I stared at her then looked away as pain spread through my chest.

“It’s okay if you don’t wanna talk about it my love” she said and I just rested my head on her shoulders.

Rachel continued to watch me the entire time and I lay my head on her lap again as tears rolled out of my cycs.

“It hurts Rachel” I said after some time.

“It hurts so bad that they think I am not capable of leading the pack and constantly compare me to my father, it breaks my the fact that I have done a lot for the well being of this pack …” I said and she stared at me cluelessly.
