? EMERALD POV?

Finding out about the relationship between my Dad and Penelope was not the best way to

feel, the betrayal still hurt to the core but then thinking about it, it is not the end of the world.

Dad have been single since he and my mom separated, for all I know Penny might be the woman I suspected he was having an affair with. The major thing I should be thinking about is how to get my revenge on Xavier and his good for nothing pack.

Coming back to this place brought back memories I did not want to remember, it hurt like hell.

“Good morning Rachel Derrick said as he joined me in the sitting room.

“Hey sweetheart” I said and he k*ssed both sides of my checks.

“Where is Damien Lasked and he smiled.

“He went to the garden with Aunt Maggie” he said and I controlled myself from frowning.

I don’t like the idea of him walking around the pack without anyone to monitor or guide his movements. These people are like wolves in ships clothings.

1 stood up and Derrick stared at me curiously.

“Is everything okay Rachel ?” he asked and I smiled.

“Of course everything is fine sweetie” I said as we both walked towards the garden to look for Damien. Surprisingly, he was not with aunt Maggie in the garden. a frown appeared on my face as we started looking for him.

First these people did everything in their power to hurt me and now they had something else up their sleeves interesting.

“Damien !” I called anxiously.

“He was with aunt Maggie” Derrick said and that minute I noticed him walking towards us without seeing aunt Maggie any where close to him.

“Hey Mom” he said hugging me.

“I told you not to anywhere without me, what is wrong with you!” I bursted angrily and he stared at me in fear.

“He was with me Rachel, is everything okay Aunt Maggie asked and I ignored her.

“Go inside with Damien I said and he left with Derrick sadly.

“That was a bit too harsh Rachel I see Damien just as I see my grandson Derrick” she said and I fought the urge to snap at her.

Those are the sweet words I kept receiving from her, yet when her nephew hurt me and she did absolutely nothing. These people are nothing but liars and blo ody decivers.

There are times when I used to see aunt Maggie as a mother figure, but now when I think about it. I don’t think she is innocent in anyway.

“I know aunt Maggie, but I find it very hard to trust people especially when it related to my son Damien” I said and her eyes flashed with concern.

“Did something bad happen to you in the past dear she asked and I pretended not to hear her as my phone rang.

“I need to take this call aunt Maggie” I said and walked away from her.

What did she take me for? a stu pid fool who would just go about telling people about my past. I am no longer the Emerald who was gullible enough to let people hurt her.

“Hey” I said immediately I picked the call.

“Good afternoon babe, I just wanted to check up on you Gabriel said and I smirked.

“Why do I find it hard to believe that I asked and he laughed.

“Fine, I did not like the way we ended our conversation the other time he said and I

smiled.

“You called to make amends?” I said and he laughed,

“You are smart woman Rachel” he said and I smiled.

“I told you I know what am doing Fernandez, it is not my fault that you decided to be ahead in this game” I said and he fell silent for some time.

“What are you planning?” he asked and I smirked.

“What do you think am planning?” I asked and he chuckled.

“Bad girl!” he said and I laughed.

“Xavier will be divorcing Lina very soon, What I have my eyes on is the position of the Luna” I said and he chuckled.

“Luna? what is running through your mind?” he asked and I laughed.

“How about we talk about that during lunch tommorow?” I asked and he chuckled.

“I trust you Rachel” he said and ended the call.

“You are going out tommorow?” Xavier asked from behind me and I turned in suprise.

“Babe” I said and he k*ssed my forehead.

“I hope all is well?” he asked in concern.

“Everything is fine, it was just one of my business partners” I said and he gave a nod.

“You looked so stressed out I thought something bad happened” he said and I fought the urge to smirk.

Stressed out my foot, Gabriel is someone I want to trust because we have one mortal enemy who is Xavier. But, I just can’t bring myself to fully trust him, after all people change and I don’t want to take chances.

“She is not picking up my calls Blake!” Penny bursted angrily as she walked towards the door.

“Rachel will come around, getting angry at me will not change a thing!” Blake said as he drank from his glass of wine.

“You think this is some kind of silly joke Blake? Rachel is in Xavier’s pack right now you of all people should be worried because you know she is surrounded by a lot of enemies….. penny trailed.

“A lot of enemies who do not know she is Emerald” he said and she sighed.

“I don’t feel good about this whole revenge plan. Left for me, I would have suggested we just move on.” Penny said and he laughed.

“Do you even hear yourself Penny?” Blake asked standing up from his bed.

“Five good years we have waited for the right opportunity to strike. The right

opportunity to get the revenge my daughter has always wanted” Blake said and Penny stared at him speechlessly.

“How sure are you that Rachel would be happy after all of this?” Penny asked after sometime.

She stared at the door for sometime as tears rolled out if her eyes, deep down she was scared of the unknown and every other thing. The future is uncertain, What if they lost everything in a bid to revenge for something that happened five years ago? Penny sighed as she made her way into the bathroom to freshen up, she was going to set things right between her and her best friend before things got worse than they already

“The Alpha doubled the soldiers at the boarder boss, no one comes in and no one goes out without investigation” One of the soldiers said and Jayden looked at him in anger.

What the f uck was wrong with the Alpha? He have been tolerating the man for too long, but at least Xavier used to carry him along with his plans before they even happened. So what happened now? he wondered as he stared into space blankly.

“Is everything okay boss 2” the soldier asked.

“Everything is not okay Jax, you know how things work around here be careful. Don’t smuggle anything out of the pack for now” Jayden said as he made his way back to the pack.

For more than five years now he has played his game like the master that he was, smuggling important goods from the pack. If Xavier wasn’t a smart man he would have brought the pack to the ground.

“Tommorow, I want Rachel to come with me but I don’t know if everything happening at the event would seem foreign to her” he said and Jayden felt like dancing the victory dance.

“I sincerely apologise Alpha Xavier Jayden said bowing in respect and Xavier sighed.
