“I need to go home Xavier, if am going to work from here it id better I bring some important things over especially my laptop” I said as I got down from the bed.

“Are

you serious babe it’s late, why don’t you just go tommorow?” Xavier asked in concern as I got down from the bed.

“I really need to go back home Xavier, it is important” I said and he sighed softly as he got down from the bed calmly.

“What are you doing?” I asked in shock.

“There is no way I will let my girlfriend drive back home this late on her own, am coming with you” he said and my heart warmed up at his kind gesture.

I watched him walk towards his closet as he came back wearing a brown polo shirt and

paired it with a crocs

“You aare really serious about following me back to my house?” I asked and he smiled.

“Yes, that is if you don’t mind me coming with you” he said and I smiled.

“No, I think I need a b*dyguard anyways” I said teasingly and his jaws literally dropped.

“So now I am a b*dyguard” he asked with a laughter that made me swoon.

“Yes” I said and he stared at me as we both laughed.

“Give me the keys to your car” he said and I handed it over to him as we walked out, the guards bowed in respect.

We got into the car and the ride to my place was kinda long as we talked about random stuffs, like the similarities he noticed between our sons. I felt bad for him that he had no idea that Damien was his biological son and Derrick’s twin brother. That doesn’t change the fact that he deprived me of see my own son too.

We got to the house and Xavier decided to wait for me in my car while I went in to get my laptop, I tried to call Penny to bring it out but she wasn’t taking her calls which is quiet unusual because the Penny I know is always with her phone.

I went up the stairs and walked towards my room where I got my laptop. Walking down the stairs I dropped it on the sitting room when I caught sight of Penny’s phone on my bed.

“I hope she is good” I muttered under my breath as I got a bit worried. Turning back I

made my way towards her room hoping she was not in some kind of trouble.

Penny and I have a habit of forgetting to knock when we enter inside each other’s room. As I badged into her room, the last thing I expected to see was my best friend under the sheets with my own father.

I stared at them in disbelief as her phone fell from my hands..

“Rachel !” she said in fear as her eyes met mine.

I took steps backwards as my heart beat against my chest, I was hurt confused and I didn’t even know how to feel at that point.

“Rachel….!”

“Bestie wait please…. Penny cried as she ran over to me with the sheets around her b*dy.

“I…..” she trailed unable to look me on the eyes.

“Of all men Penny, my own father!” I bursted angrily visibly shaking.

“I am sorry okay… Blake and I didn’t mean to hurt you, I never want to hurt you” she said crying.

“I am hurt already Penelope ! Five good years I opened up to you as a friend and your did not bother to tell me you are having something with my dad!” I said in hurt.

“I am sorry okay……I wanted to stop I just couldn’t bring myself bring myself to stop. I love him Rachel’ she said wiping the tears that continued to roll down her cheeks.

“So what am I supposed to do? pretend like I didn’t just walk in on my dad banging my best friend” I asked and she refused to look at me in the eyes.

“He is older than you Penelope, you are a beautiful girl with a lot of potentials” I said. angrily.

“Age is just a number Rachel…” she trailed which made me even more angry. My dad has always been a controlling man and the thought of him controlling her crossed my mind.

“Is dad controlling you, are you doing this under compulsion?” I asked asked and she shook her head negativity.

“Of course not, Blake is a good man Rachel, how can you even say that? he is your father!” she said raising her voice and I looked at her in disbelief.

I turned to leave and she grabbed my hand immediately I picked my laptop bag.

“Let go off me Penny, I am not in the right state of mind and might end up hurting you with my words” I said and she cried as she walked with me.

“Bestie am sorry, please forgive me please….she cried as she tried to hold me by my hand, Xavier watched in suprise as I walked towards him.

“Is everything okay?” he asked as his eyes went from Penny to me then back to Penny.

“Let’s just go” I said as I walked over to the other side of the car and got in.

“Babe” he called as he joined me.

“Are you sure you don’t wanna talk about it?” he asked in concern.

“Just take me home” I said and he stared at me with a small smile playing on his l*ps.

“What!” I asked and he chuckled.

“You just called my place home” he said smiling and I sighed, I was too tired to argue.

We got to his place and I walked into the house too tired to say a word. Deep down, I still felt the burn in my chest from watching the two people I trusted more than anything in the world under the sheets f ucking cach other.

It hurts so much.

? XAVIER POV?

Rachel refused to say a word to me, she didn’t want to tell me what happened at her father’s house. Yet I noticed she did not sleep at night, at some point I could hear her crying her eyes out at night.

Thank G od I went with her last night, I can’t imagine her driving in that state yesterday.

Her personal assistant Penelope seem to be in trouble last night with the way she cried. and begged her, I tried to put two and two together but nothing was adding up. What happened and why does she still look like her world ended?

She stirred in her sleep and my eyes moved over to her, it wasn’t long before her fluttered open.

“Good morning sunshine” I said and she stared at me with a frown.

“I walked in on my dad and best friend under the sheets having S*x” she said like it was the most disgusting thing in the world.

“Ouch, that’s a lot” I said and she sat up.

“I just feel so stu pid for not seeing the signs all this while she said as her eyes stung with unshed tears.

“What did she say in her defense?” I asked curiously.

“Is that even necessary right now? it doesn’t change the fact that I am hurt Xavier !” she bursted angrily.

“I did not say it changes anything babe” I said treading lightly. The last thing I want is to get on this woman’s bad books so carly in this morning.

“Penelope thinks she is inlove with my father, I mean c’mon he is way older than her Xavier ! I feel like my father is playing her” she said innocently.

“You think your Dad is that cruc!?” I asked and she sighed.

“I don’t know how to put it Xavier, I know he has an affair with someone else” she said. and I stared at her calmly.

“What if you are over thinking it and there’s nothing like that?” I asked and she sighed.

“I am not mistaken, I have heard him talking to the woman a lot of times and it id definitely not Penny” she said and I didn’t know what to say at that point. These are the two most important people in her life, and she can be very sensitive.

“Maybe you should try telling her that” I said and she sighed.

“Penny doesn’t even look like someone that will listen to me Xavier, she looks like someone who drank some love portion from my dad’ she said and I laughed.

“What’s funny?” she glared in my direction.

“Nothing, there is nothing funny in what you just said” I said and I burst out laughing crazily.
