“I’m sorry about that” Gabriel said as he held my hand from the other side of the table.

“I am sorry you had to go through all of that because of the love you had for a man who was supposed to be your mate, a man who was supposed to love and cherish you, am so sorry he said and tears rolled out of my eyes which I quickly wiped from my face.

“It is okay, that happened in the past and this is the present what we do today will determine if Xavier and his pack goes free” I said and Gabriel leaned on the chair.

“I like the sound of that” he said and I smirked.

We talked about some of our plans and when we where done with the dinner, he drove me back to my house.

“Thanks for tonight Gabby” I said as we exchange cheek k*sses.

“Call me Gab or Gabriel, Rachel don’t you think Gabby sounds so feminine?” he asked and I burst into laughter.

“I like the way your face heats up in a blush anytime I call you Gabby, so Gabby it is till further notice” I said and he chuckled.

“Take care of yourself we would see later” I said and watched him leave.

As if on cuc, my phone rang for the 3rd time I heard it ring twice during dinner but I ignored it,

a frown appeared on my face when I noticed who it was on the other end.

“Rachel, I…I’m sorry for calling you this late…” he trailed calmly, I listened to his strong manly voice with my lower l*p

in my mouth.

I hate the fact that he has this much effect over my b*dy even now that I hate him with everything in me.

“It is okay, I believe you wanna tell me something considering the fact that you called” I said and he took a deep breath in and out.

“Not exactly, I just wanted to hear your voice” he said and I chuckled.

“Do you have a crush on me Mr Jason” I said smirking.

“I’m not going to deny the fact that I like you” he said and I looked away.

“You are married” I said and he sighed softly.

“It is complicated” he said and I laughed.

“That is what all married men who have plans to cheat on their partners say XAVIER, it is complicated” I said and he sighed.

“Can we at least get to know each other?” he asked calmly.

“I have a son and I believe you know everything” I said not giving him any space to catch his breath.

Fine, I like you which I know am not supposed to feel this way cause it is wrong. I’m married and we are business partners but I can’t help it Rachel, it’s your thought that feels my mind every morning noon and night” he said and I was nearly swooned from

the lines.

“As much as I find you so beautiful, I don’t want any unnecessary drama in my life Xavier. Remember what your wife did the last time she embarrassed me and caused a scene at the

party, you could not handle the situation” I said and he sighed.

“I… apologize for her actions” he said and I looked away.

“I’m really exhausted right now Xavier…” I trailed and he fell silent for some time at the other end.

“Can we have a date tommorow, I promise there is going to be less drama this time around” he said and I chuckled.

“Don’t tell me you are referring to your wife as the drama?” I said and he chuckled.

“Are you in or in?” he asked playfully.

“Hey that’s unfair, you are supposed to ask if I’m in or out” I said and he laughed,

“Don’t blame me Rachel, that is what you do to me” he said and I bit my lower l*p.

“Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow” I said and hanged up the call.

Immediately I walked into the Mansion, I met Penny who smiled at me excitedly.

“Boss” she said teasingly.

“Since when did you start calling me that at home ?” I asked with eyebrows raised and she chuckled.

“Since I noticed how much of a player you have become, jeez” she said dramatically.

“Xavier played me Penny, don’t blame me if am out to show him how it is played, life is unfair after all” I said and she smirked.

“And Mr hottie ?” she asked teasingly.

“Who the hell is Mr hottie ?” I asked clueless about who she was referring to.

“Oh come on, you both went on a date and he drive you home like a perfect gentleman” she said swooning.

“Wait, you mean Mr Fernandez? that is crazy” I said and she laughed.

“It is not my fault that I find the guy attractive, don’t judge me” she said frowning.

“I’m not judging you sweetheart, am just surprised” I said and she smiled.

“How is Derrick ?” I asked and she chuckled.

“Fast asleep In his room” she said while writing something on her work pad.

“And Dad?” I asked curiously.

“He had an important meeting with some guys from a distant pack, I had no idea what they were talking about but am certain of the fact that they were werewolves. One of them kept referring to me as a human” she said and I had an ugly feeling at the pit of my stomach.

“Did he tell you exactly what they came for?” I asked and she shook her head.

“No, you know how secretive your father is” she said and I sighed.

“I will figure it out myself” I said and walked towards my room I was tired from the day’s works and my legs felt heavy.

My phone pinged and when I checked who it was that had texted me, one of them was from Gabriel and the other one from Xaiver.

“Goodnight flower” I read it out and sent him a reply wishing him goodnight too. Xavier had texted me too I ignored his text and went into the bathroom to freshen up after which I lay on the bed to get some sleep.

I was fast asleep when I had a very erotic dream about Xavier k*ssing

me and making love to me, I woke sweating furiously and a blush stained my cheeks at the memory of such a sinful dream.

Letting Xavier in-between my legs again will be the biggest mistake of my life.

The next morning I woke up with a banging headache, I hated the fact that it felt like a truck ran over me while I was fast asleep.

Getting up from the bed I changed into something more conducive and styled my hair

“Good morning father” I said to him immediately I got to the sitting room.

“We need to talk” he said and I stared at him curiously.

“Hope everything is fine?” I asked trying my best not to worry.

“Everything is not okay Rachel, as much as I support your quest for revenge, you don’t need to loose yourself while trying to hurt Xavier” he said and I raised my eyebrows.

“I do not understand you father” I said and he chuckled bitterly.

“I am not a child Rachel, but you are also an adult old enough to make your own decisions.” he said calmly.

“Going out with Xavier and getting close to him will not help with your revenge but fuel the feelings that are still hidden somewhere in your heart. You used to love this guy so much you can’t tell me your feelings for him vanished into thin air over night” he said and my eyes stung with tears.

“I do not intend to do anything or habor any feelings in my heart for a man that ruined my life father” I said as tears rolled out of my eyes.

That is hate speaking out if you Rachel, but sometimes the heart wants what it wants I don’t want you to be in a situation where you break down due to the same man who ruined your life” he said and I could sense the worry in his voice.

“I don’t have feelings for him anymore father, trust me” I said holding his hand.

“All I want is to bring Xavier to the ground, make him and every member of his pack

for what they put me through” I said and he took a deep breath in and out.

“Do not disappoint me Rachel” he said and I gave a nod.

“I won’t disappoint you father” I said with a smile on my face.

No matter what happens, I won’t rest until I get my revenge on all those who hurt me in the past. I will make sure they all live the rest of their lives in regret for what they put me through.

“Mummy” I heard Derrick’s voice as he ran down the stairs excitedly.

“You woke up quiet early today champ” I said he grinned from ear for ear.

“I love you momma” he said and k*ssed my cheeks making me laugh, I know he wants. to ask for something that is why he is acting so cute, when he eventually asks I won’t be able to say no to him, very smart boy.
