“I shouldn’t have done that on the first day she decided to go out with me it was way too forward on my end, I was just lost in the sweetness of everything” I said and Jayden laughed.

“Do you actually find this funny?” I asked and he bit his lower l*p to control his laughter.

“I can never understand the fact that the Alpha Xavier got rejected by a woman funny” he said and I glared in his direction.

“Trust me, I did not mean for it to come out like that but maybe maybe you should try apologising to her” he said and I turned to him.

“That is if she would take my calls as it is now, Rachel wouldn’t even pick my calls” I said and Jayden chuckled.

“You are really whipped you know” he said and I threw the pen in my hand at him.

“I don’t regret trying to k*ss her though” I said smiling.

“Trust me man you are head over heels in love with that lady” he said and I looked

away.

“What do you think I should do?” I asked and he laughed.

“You are asking the wrong guy, I don’t even have a love life” he said and I burst out laughing.

“Daddy!” I heard Derrick’s voice as he ran into my chambers and got on the bed.

“Hey kiddo, how are you?” I asked and he smiled.

“I’m fine Daddy” he said and my eyes met with the mark on his n*eck.

“What Happened to you son?” I asked and he stared at me with his innocent eyes filled with worry.

“I fell down Daddy” he said and for some reasons I did not believe him.

“And got hurt on your n*eck?” I asked and he fell silent.

“Where did this happen? I have told you to be careful with the humans in your school” I said as I carried him in my arms.

“Where are you taking him to ?” Jayden asked as I walked out with him in my arms.

“We are going to see the pack doctor, I am worried about the mark” I said and he joined

us.

“I’m fine Daddy” Derrick said and I ignored his words as we walked into the doctors chamber.

“Alpha” he stood up Immediately I walked in.

“Welcome to my chamber Alpha Xavier” he said as his eyes went over to the little guy in

my arms.

“What is wrong with him?” he asked and I gestured towards the mark on his n*eck.

“He told me he fell down while playing in school” I said and the doctor frowned.

“Fell down and hurt his n*eck? that is not possible,If he fell down truly there are other places for him to have get hurt not his n*eck. Besides these marks look like a scratch mark from fighting” he said and we all stared at Derrick.

“Tell me the truth honey what happened to your n*eck?” I asked and he coiled into Jayden’s arms in fear.

“Champ, tell me what happened??” Jayden asked and he sniffed back the tears that threatened to roll down from his eyes.

“I don’t want to talk about it” he said and blood boiled with rage.

“Who hurt you Derrick !” I growled in anger.

“Alpha” the doctor said coming in front of my son,

“That is not the kind of energy the kid needs right now, if he is gonna tell us what happened to him” the doctor said and Jayden gave a nod.

“He better open his mouth and start telling me who hurt him because I am about to loose my mind” I said and the doctor bent down before Derrick.

“What happened sweetheart, talk to us daddy and uncle Jayden are here to protect you” he said and Derrick burst out crying hard.

“I’m going to get to the bottom of this promise, because am not going to seat down and watch people hurt my son !” I bursted angrily.

“Jayden keep your eyes open” I said and walked out of the chamber in anger staying there, I might end up reaping something or someone apart.

“Baby” Lina said Immediately I entered our room.

I walked passed her and went straight into the bathroom, I needed to cool off at that point because I was about to loose it. The cold water from the shower hit my n*ked skin immediately I got under the shower, I placed my hands on the wall trying to calm my breath.

“Baby is everything okay? I can help you calm down….” Lina trailed as she k*ssed her way through my b*dy.

“Lina I …” I trailed and she smiled.

“Shhhhhhh I’m your wife, let me help ” she said k*ssing my l*ps and sucking on the bottom part, I cursed under my breath as I carried her in my arms and held her up against the wall.

The slapping of skins and rushing of the shower was the only sound in the bathroom as I tried to get things of my head, Lina screams filled the space and at that point I cared less as I tried to find my release. After our encounter in the bathroom, we lay on the bed together as she ran her fingers on my chest.

“What is bothering you?” she asked and I sighed.

“Derrick came back home with marks on his n*eck today and when I asked him who the f uck hurt him he refused to speak up, he stared at me in the face and kept telling me he fell down” I said angrily.

“Oh, what if he really fell down?? He is just a kid maybe he really fell dow” she said and I turned to her in disbelief.

“I know you don’t really like him because he is the fruit of my relationship with Emerald, but can you at least stop pretending like you believe he fell down” I said and she sighed.

“You are making a mountain out of a molehill Xav, Derrick is a smart kid and I don’t think anyone is capable of hurting him” she said and I looked away.

“Just let me sleep” I said and faced the other side of the bed, having this conversation with her might end with the both if us killing ourselves.

“Xavier!” she bursted angrily.

“Are you still mad at mummy sweetheart?” I asked Damien as he refused to spare a glance at my direction.

“Mummy hurt me” he said pouting cutely.

“Mummy is saying sorry, you know I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have something really important to do” I said and he glared in my direction.

The nerve of this little guy, I pinched the bridge of my nose and I noticed something was bothering him.

“Do you want to talk to mummy about something Champ? you know you can tell mummy anything ” I said and he shook his head negatively.

“I’m not interested mummy, I will rather talk to Aunt Penny” he said and my jaws literally dropped in shock.

“Are that mad at mummy that you will rather talk to Aunt Penny ?” I asked and he nod in approval.

“Ouch” I said dramatically.

“Mummy, where is my daddy?” he asked me out of the blue and I froze on the spot.

“Your daddy….” I trailed softly.

“Your Daddy has gone to heaven to be with the stars” Dad said walking into the room and my eyes stung with tears.

“Really Grandpa ?” he asked sadly.

“Yes, but now you have mummy, Grandpa and Aunt Penny all to yourself to make up for Daddy’s Absence okay” he said and Damien gave a nod in agreement.

“Thanks Dad” I said as we made our way out of the room after tucking Damian in bed.

“What where you planning to tell him? That his father was an angry werewolf who believed the words of his mistress over his supposed mate? and threw the both of you out of his life and pack?” Dad asked and I wiped the tears that rolled out of my eyes.

“No matter what you do, don’t forget everything he put you through” Dad said and made his way upstairs.

Memories of my past and everything came rushing into my mind and the pain in my heart increased, Immediately I got to my room I took slow strides towards the bathroom got in and stripped n*ked. Immediately the water hit my skin, I screamed in agony as I cried my heart out. The bathroom was sound proof so I did not have the fear of anyone walking in to meet me in that condition.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhrr !!!” I screamed as my voice broke at the edge.

“Get a grip of yourself Emerald, crying like this will not change things” my wolf said as I bent down with tears rolling out of my eyes.

“I will kill him, I will burn him and his pack down, after everything they put me through they do not deserve any kind of happiness”.

“This Is just the beginning” I said while watching the glass from the sink piercing into my delicate skin, drops of blood dripped down from the cut and I watched it get into the bathtub staining the sink.

“Rachel !” I heard Penny’s voice in my room.

“Are you in there Rachel !” she asked and opened the door immediately.

“Jeez!” she screamed in horror as she walked over to me and switch off the running shower, her voice was the last thing I heard before I passed out in the bathtub.

“Have you gone crazy Rachel ! you could have killed yourself in there, how many times have I told you self arm is out of the equation !” she bursted angrily.

“I just wanted to end it all Penny …this pain is too much to handle” I said as I cried.

“I’m scared Penny, deep down am scared of the amount of damage I am gonna cause at the long run. The realisation that I would have k*ssed Xavier back if he k*ssed me that night hunts me everyday” I said and she bent over to my level.

“Kissing Xavier back wouldn’t make you a bad person or a weak person, you are a strong woman Rachel. You built your life to this point despite everything you have been through any decision you make I am solidly behind you” she said and tears rolled out of

my eyes.

“You are the sister I never have Penny” I said emotionally.

“You are my Big sister Rachel, and you know I love you. Before we get all emotional, the charity event is tommorow” she said and I lay on my bed.

“I have everything planned out” I said and she smirked.

“This Is the Rachel I know” she said and I smirked.
