Chapter 39 of 57

duplicity

Prose & Poetry118 words~1 min read

Have you heard my silence

With enamor at expense?

Pray for your enemies

As if you have ennui?

Would it murder you

If someone confronts you?

Did it hurt your soul

Just observing my turmoil?

Will you always betray

All the days just to stray?

Always for your satisfaction

As I keep safe from abrasion

Are you holding our ferrule

When I feel so neglectful?

It's full of regret, and fear

And all love, so unclear

The contempt on our lair

In every strands of our hair

Never been dared

To see through each despair

When our eyes do met

No one sees what's kept

Thus, showing the great ships

Are on the edge of each cliffs
