Chapter 993:
âWhen you marry into the Brown family, theyâll say you and their son have been friends since childhood to prove that this isnât forced,â Bryan said.
Simply put, the Brown family had already prepared a solid justification for the marriage. Bryan could already guess that.
He stubbed out the cigarette he was holding and lay down next to Eileen. His cool fingertips brushed the edge of her pajamas as he said, âBut I doubt theyâd let you marry into their family if you were pregnant.â
Eileen grasped his meaning. She frowned and asked, âAre you saying I need to get pregnant soon?â
âIâm still considering other options, but this is currently our best bet,â Bryan said seriously, despite the absurdity of the idea. âIâm afraid you wonât be able to get pregnant right now. Letâs buy some time with the Brown family and keep working on it.â
âBut Iâm not ovulating today,â Eileen said. She usually avoided getting pregnant by timing her cycles carefully.
Bryan leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. âThe doctor mentioned that while the chance of pregnancy is sixty percent during ovulation, pregnancy is still possible outside that window. Even if thereâs only a one percent chance, we shouldnât waste it.â
Eileen suddenly understood that Bryanâs insistence on seizing the one percent chance wasnât about getting her pregnant. He simply wanted to have sex with her.
With his lips pressed against hers, she couldnât refute him. She grasped his waist tightly, her fingertips leaving marks on his skin. His back was marked with scratches, and his shoulders bore several bite marks, making him appear even more alluring.
Early the next morning, Eileen struggled to get up, her body feeling sore. She got out of bed and went to see Leyla.
Even though she had stayed up late, Leyla woke up early. In the living room, she was chatting with Bryan, who, despite a night of activity, was full of energy.
âItâs quite a feat for you to come here in the middle of the night. Did Eileen mention anything about the Brown family to you?â Leyla asked Bryan.
âI only learned about the Brown family when I arrived here,â Bryan replied. âBut donât worry; Eileen and I have come up with a plan to deal with the matter.â
Leylaâs eyes brightened with interest. âReally? You twoâ¦â
âAre impressive. Whatâs the plan?â
âI need to get her pregnant,â Bryan replied.
Leyla fell silent, stunned.
âIâll handle the Brown family for now. If Eileen gets pregnant, the Brown family wonât be able to do anything about it.â Noting Leylaâs silence, Bryan asked, âDo you have any thoughts on this?â
Leyla nodded and said directly, âIâm thinking of having Eileenâs second child take the Vazquez surname. Are you okay with that?â
She was worried that it might be difficult for Bryan to agree to this. Eileenâs first child had taken Eileenâs surname, Curtis, and now, asking him to let the second child take the Vazquez name would mean the names of the two children would have no connection to Bryan.
After a brief pause, Bryan replied, âYes. Itâs not a major issue. It just means Iâll need Eileen to have another child with the Dawson surname.â
