Chapter 987:
In the stillness, Bryanâs voice was especially captivating, and Eileen was struck by the endearing term âhoneyâ Bryan had never used before. But he looked as if he had used that term many times before. The word sent Eileenâs heart racing. She stared at him for a moment before rolling her eyes at him.
Bryan was rendered speechless. His expression turned rigid, and he was perplexed, trying to comprehend what he had done wrong. He had dedicated hours to online research before, determined to find ways to persuade Eileen to be more sexually active. He had used the term because of the method he had found on the Internet.
But it didnât work!
Bryanâs thin lips compressed into a tight line as he gazed at Eileen, only to see her turn away. He promptly pulled out his phone and revisited the website that had suggested the ill-fated approach. He clicked to report the website. However, his attempt was futile, as the website was extremely popular. So, he forwarded the link to Raymond and instructed him to erase it completely and permanently. A second later, the car jerked to a sudden halt, causing Eileen to nearly hit her face against the driverâs seat.
âIâm sorry. I just got distracted for a second,â Raymond said from the other side of the partition.
âWhatâs wrong?â Eileen lifted the partition and asked.
âNo, I just received a message that startled me.â Raymond restarted the car.
âKeep your eyes on the road, not on your phone, while driving. Itâs a serious safety risk,â Eileen said, surprised, as Raymond had never made such a mistake before.
Was it becauseâ¦

âClearly, he received a message from a woman. Considering Raymondâs years of dedicated service to you, I think you should grant him more time off and allow him to pursue a relationship with the person who sent this message,â Eileen said, turning to face Bryan.
With his legs crossed, Bryan raised an eyebrow, his face a mask of neutrality as he regarded Eileenâs lively demeanor.
âRaymond, if you marry her, I will give you a reward of a million.â Eileen spun around and gave Raymond a gentle tap on the shoulder, saying, âI believe in you!â
A bead of cold sweat trickled down Raymondâs forehead as he caught Bryanâs gaze in the rearview mirror. His eyes widened in fear as he shook his head. âIâm too afraid to marry her. I canât!â
Eileenâs pleased smile morphed into a confused frown. âWhy not? Is she from a rich family? Who is she?â
âShe is married,â Raymond blurted out.
The moment he spoke, Raymond wanted to kick himself for his foolishness. He knew they were actually talking about Bryan here.
âOh my goodnessâ¦â Eileen exhaled deeply, reclined in her seat, and leaned in close to Bryan, whispering, âYouâre the right person to talk some sense into Raymond. Please make sure he understands he canât get involved with a married woman.â
âThereâs no need for you to worry about this.â Bryan wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to prevent her from saying more to Raymond.
