After a short chat with Bryan, Eileen entrusted Gabriela to Bryan’s care, collected her belongings, and drove to the hospital.

As she arrived at the hospital, she happened to spot Kinsey at the entrance, dressed in casual attire—a stark contrast to his usual suit. He was wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

He appeared a lot younger than he used to be. He looked a bit uneasy when he spotted Eileen.

“Are you here to see Dalores?” Kinsey was the first to speak.

Eileen nodded.

“Yes. Are you here to give her the divorce papers?”

She had noticed the document in Kinsey’s hand, and even though the cover was obscured, she had guessed its contents.

“Yes.” Kinsey grew increasingly uneasy and struggled to find the right words to explain the situation.

After a while, Kinsey said, “Can we find somewhere to sit and talk?”

“I don’t have much time. Let’s go to the hospital garden,” Eileen said, glancing at her watch. It was almost eleven now.

“Okay,” Kinsey agreed quickly.

Eileen led the way to the garden and took a seat on a bench. Kinsey stood, nervous to sit.

“I heard about what happened with the Vazquez family. Part of me wants to congratulate you, but… I shouldn’t. I know it sounds hypocritical, but I want to be clear that I’m not interested in the Vazquez family fortune at all,” Kinsey spoke slowly, choosing his words carefully. He wasn’t sure how to continue.

“But are you sure things will be smooth sailing with Sariyah once you divorce Dalores?” Eileen asked.

Kinsey sighed, a long silence hanging in the air.

“VQ Group used to cover all of Dalores’ expenses. Now… her kid is sick. I have the money for it, but Sariyah gave her a card with two hundred grand on it.”

He had done all he could. The more Eileen thought about it, the more she realized that Kinsey was actually a good person. He had just been forced to do things he didn’t want to do.

“I’ve known Dalores for a long time,” Eileen said, her voice sincere.

“I’ll make sure she’s taken care of. I hope you and Sariyah can find some stability and happiness together.”

After everything that had gone on, Kinsey’s time at VQ Group was clearly over.
