Chapter 875:
âTwo days straight. According to Mr. Dawson, our whole family needs to undergo a medical checkup to ensure we donât have any genetic health issues if Jessica wants to be with him. Jessica has already taken three tubes of my blood, and today, the hospital took even more. Itâs really taking a toll on my body!â
âDidnât you mention two days ago that Eileen was determined to fight you and gather evidence to prove that you and Jessica arenât biologically related? Yet, in just two days, your blood has been drawn several times. Something fishy is going on here!â Gianna paused for a moment to think before grabbing her phone. She called Raymond and asked, âHas Eileen returned to the Vazquez Mansion?â
Gianna soon received a reply from Tracey. She quickly ended the call, grabbed Conroyâs hand, and rushed out.
âThis is bad! Eileen is back in the Vazquez Mansion nowâsheâs probably there to see her grandmother. We need to hurry back!â
âWhatâ¦â Conroy was slightly out of breath. âItâs no big deal if sheâs back. What are you worried about?â
âDonât you understand whatâs happening? I think Eileen has found proof that Jessica is your daughter. Sheâs probably going to see her grandmother to come up with a plan. If thatâs the case, we canât let Eileen leave the Vazquez Mansion today. If not, it wouldnât hurt us to go back anyway. I just need to check,â Gianna said.
As she spoke, she ushered Conroy toward the car, urging him to get in so they could leave quickly.
They didnât stop driving until the sky turned completely dark. The streetlights illuminated their path, guiding them straight to the Vazquez Mansion.
. com is your storytelling hub Meanwhile, Eileen spent the evening having dinner with Leyla. Afterward, she went to sleep in Leylaâs room with Gabriela. After a full evening of activities, Gabriela was exhausted. She sprawled out on the bed and quickly fell asleep.
Leyla glanced at the sleeping Gabriela and felt a deep affection. âEileen, when you were young, your mother and I always shielded you like this. Your mother wanted no one else to look after youâshe did everything on her own, unless absolutely necessary.â During the time she had gone to the mountains to find Bryan, the time away from Gabriela was a regret she felt she could never fully reconcile. She vowed never to leave Gabrielaâs side again.
âBack then, Conroy repeatedly asked your mother to move in with him, but she refused. She believed that, as a young girl, you shouldnât be around any man except your biological father,â Leyla said. Eileenâs mother had been fiercely protective of her daughter. Yet, she had still lost Eileen. Despite her cautiousness, she couldnât protect Eileen, leading to her sudden mental collapse.
âIâve found you for her. Just seeing you is a blessing. When I pass away, donât be sad. Iâll have good news to tell your mother.â Leyla even felt she couldnât wait to reunite with her daughter and share that she had found Eileen.
The atmosphere in the room turned somber. Just as Eileen was about to speak, a light flickered from the yard. Then, the sound of noisy footsteps disrupted the quiet courtyard. The footsteps were clearly heading straight for them.
Eileen got out of bed. Before she could reach the door, it was pushed open from the outside.
âWhat are you doing here at this late hour?â Leyla sat up, holding Gabriela in her arms, and eyed Gianna, who had rushed in.
