Chapter 859:
âTwo hours max after time, from now on!â Eileen declared, her voice firm.
To her surprise, Bryan agreed without a fuss.
âAlright.â
Eileen let out a sigh of relief.
âDonât forget to get back to Jessica later.â
After some delay, Jessica responded. âMr. Dawson, I assure you, my family has no shady past. Iâll send you blood samples from my parents first, and then Iâll tell you who my parents are. Youâre welcome to meet them in person if youâd like.â
âMeet me at the VQ Groupâs entrance tomorrow morning at eight,â Bryan replied, setting the meeting for the next day. Though that was set for tomorrow, he had other plans for tonight, and those plans involved Eileen.
He wanted Eileenâs full attention tonight, and since the matter wasnât resolved yet, Eileen would be more willing to comply with him tonight.
Later, after a nice dinner out, Bryan and Eileen were heading home. As they pulled up to their gated community, they encountered the same woman from the day before.
The woman waved them to a stop, looking a bit hesitant.
âIâm so sorry to bother you again,â she said. âBut could I ask for another favor? Would you mind helping me get through the entrance?â
Eileen nodded and opened the car door for her. The woman got in and quickly pulled out her phone.
Your adventure awaits at gαâηÏνððsâ¤cãm She said, âI need a keycard for entry here. Could I buy one from you? Iâm happy to pay.â
Eileen paused for a moment, unsure if she should give in to the womanâs request.
The woman reassured her, âFeel free to charge double the price. Iâm just here to visit my friend. Itâs inconvenient for him to always come pick me up, and heâs hesitant to let me come often, first wanting to avoid bothâ¦â
Eileen found herself unable to resist the womanâs pleading gaze, which tugged at her heartstrings.
âYou donât need to pay. Iâll give you one,â Eileen said, handing over a keychain from her bag. âJust return it when youâre done with it.â
With joy in her eyes, the woman received the keychain and smiled at Eileen.
âThank you so much! Iâm Sariyah Gonzalez. Whatâs your name?â
âIâm Eileen Curtis,â Eileen said, attempting to shake the womanâs hand, but Sariyah held onto it tightly.
âWait⦠Youâre Eileen Curtis?â Sariyahâs jaw dropped. She looked visibly shocked.
Eileen nodded, confused by Sariyahâs reaction.
âYes, whatâs wrong?â
Sariyah erupted into laughter, still holding onto Eileenâs hand. She stammered, âY-You have the same name as the Eileen Iâve heard so much about! You know Onaland, right? Thereâs a female entrepreneur named Eileen who lives there. Her story is like a fairy tale, Cinderella. Iâve been to Onaland several times, and each time I visit, I hear the story of her and her husband again. I can almost recite it word for word now, but Iâm still happy to hear it again. Unfortunately, Iâve never had a chance to meet them.â
Eileen fell silent. She felt utterly exposed now.
