Chapter 732:
With a subtle smile, Leyla lowered her head. Just then, Tracey returned, balancing a tray of snacks and a coffee pot, rushing toward them.
As Tracey noticed the trio sitting in silence, she breathed a sigh of relief and placed the tray on the stone table.
âPlease enjoy, sir,â Eileen said as she gracefully poured Kenton a cup of coffee.
Tracey stood nearby, casting occasional glances toward the group.
An hour later, the car was finally fixed. Gianna came back with the man in tow.
Kenton took this moment to say his goodbyes.
Leyla suddenly let out a weary sigh. âWhen you get old, youâre not much use anymore. I canât even go outside the house. You shouldnât be stuck here with me all the time. Go out, enjoy yourselves.â
âThatâs true.â Gianna agreed, taking a seat and smiling warmly at Eileen.
âYouâve really been gone since you arrived in Alverton. Iâm tied down with your grandmother, and your father and Kinsey are swamped with work. Why not explore the city on your own?â
After a moment of thought, Eileen said, âWith the situation here, maybe I should look for a job.â
This caught both Leyla and Gianna off guard.
âI meant for you to have some fun, not to go job hunting!â Leyla responded quickly.
âYeah,â Gianna echoed softly. âHow long will you stay in Alverton? Why bother looking for a job?â
Stay tuned for more gαlnÏνâ¯âs.câm Eileen smiled awkwardly. âIâm pretty strapped for cash right now, so I canât really splurge on anything fun.â
Without hesitation, Gianna offered, âNo need to worry about that. Take this money and enjoy some time in the city. You donât have to find a job.â
Despite her own financial constraints, Gianna handed Eileen twenty thousand to let her enjoy herself in the city.
Eileen accepted the money and thanked Gianna. She said she would go to the city tomorrow morning.
She suggested staying in Leylaâs room tonight since she would leave the next day.
âYou need to rest, Tracey will take care of your grandmother. You canât manage on your own,â Gianna said.
âItâs really no trouble. Iâll just sleep next to Grandma. If she needs anything during the night, call Tracey,â Eileen assured her, gently taking Leylaâs arm. âIs that alright with you, Grandma?â
Leyla wore a smile, saying, âOf course.â
Gianna shot a glance at Tracey but held back any further objections. Instead, she advised cautiously, âBe alert during the night. Try not to let Eileen bother you too much, as sheâs not accustomed to our routine, okay?â
âUnderstood,â Tracey responded promptly.
