Chapter 723:
Eileen couldnât help but be amused by Bryanâs words. She said, âOh, stop it. Just take care of Gabriela at the hotel. Iâll send you the location later. Can you try to reach two doctors? My grandmother isnât in good health.â
âWhat?â Bryanâs voice rose. âAre they so poor that they canât even afford to let a doctor come to the house?â
Even though calling a doctor to the house was costly, most ordinary families could still manage it.
The Vazquez familyâs residence was a spectacle of luxury and splendor. As Eileen observed the opulent decorations, she surmised that everything in sight likely held considerable value.
âIâm not sure about the specifics. All I know is they havenât bothered to call a doctor,â Eileen said.
Bryan seemed to catch on to something from her words. âJust be careful, and make sure you call me if anything comes up,â he cautioned.
âWhat about you?â Eileen inquired, a thought striking her. âWerenât you here to check on the branch company you established here a few years back?â
A few years ago, when the Apex Group had expanded rapidly, they had set up a subsidiary in Alverton. However, circumstances had shifted dramatically over the years, and Bryan hadnât had the opportunity to visit the subsidiary and assess the situation until now.
âIâll do that after youâve wrapped up your tasks there. Iâm not in any rush,â Bryan said, glancing at Gabriela. With the chilly weather outside, he preferred not to drag her around every day.
Eileen sighed. âUnderstood. Are you hinting that Iâm dragging my feet? Iâll try to wrap things up quickly.â
Bryan chuckled, then said, âItâs chilly out here. Make sure you stay warm at night. And expect a surprise from me tomorrow morning.â

Shortly thereafter, Tessa Perry, one of the two servants at the Vazquez residence, appeared to invite Eileen to dinner. The other servant, Tracey Byrd, was slightly older and responsible for taking care of Leyla.
Tessa, a woman of few words, didnât meet Eileenâs gaze. She led the way, staying silent.
The dining area was in a room at the junction of four courtyards. There, Leyla, seated in a wheelchair, had been wheeled in for the meal.
Conroy and Gianna positioned themselves on either side of Leylaâs wheelchair. Beside Conroy was a young man, about twenty-five, but with a youthful face that could pass for eighteen. If not for the suit he was wearing and his mature demeanor, he would have looked completely like a teenager.
âKinsey, say hello to your cousin,â Gianna instructed, then turned to Eileen. âEileen, this is my son, Kinsey Vazquez.â
Standing up politely, Kinsey said to Eileen, âEileen, nice to meet you.â
Eileen nodded. âNice to meet you, too.â
Kinsey returned the nod, then sat back in his chair.
He adopted a deliberate expression, feigning maturity.
