Tears started to fall as she mentioned her daughter. She sniffled and continued, “Bryan is like this because of Gabriela and me. How can I just give up on him?”

Eileen closed her eyes, her voice softening as if speaking to herself. “When I first heard he’d fallen into the sea, I thought he was dead. But I still searched for him. If I hadn’t, my life would have felt pointless.”

Raymond, still stunned, nearly fell out of bed.

“I’m planning to buy a fishing village in Bayside City and develop it into a resort,” Eileen replied.

“I’ve already made up my mind. Just go ahead and get everything ready,” Eileen instructed before hanging up.

Raymond was stunned.

“Has Ms. Curtis lost her mind over Mr. Dawson?” he muttered under his breath.

While instructing his team to get ready, he booked a plane ticket and caught the first available flight to Bayside City.

A sudden knock on the door roused Eileen from her sleep. Opening the door, she found Raymond standing outside.
