Chapter 564:
Eileen, her vision blurred by tears, rushed to his side instinctively, asking, âAre you okay?â
Her eyes were filled with concern, the tears brimming in them almost as though accusing him.
The emotion in Bryanâs gaze shifted. Before Eileenâs vision could clear, he pushed her away with all his strength.
Taken by surprise, Eileen was shoved backward, falling hard onto the floor. The rough surface scraped her hands, and the pain from the raw flesh made her gasp.
Despite the pain, she ignored her own wounds and looked up at Bryan.
Her heart sank as she saw him. He was looking at her as if she were a stranger.
His gaze was cold and distant.
âBryanâ¦â Eileen whispered his name, her voice trembling.
âPlease stay away from me, and donât come here again,â Bryan said coldly, his words like a knife to her heart.
With those harsh words, he turned and slowly made his way back toward the room. His movements were slow, but he didnât pause, and Eileen couldnât shake the feeling that he truly wanted to escape from her.
That thought almost drove Eileen mad. She stood up, determined to follow him, but Zelda blocked her path.
âHe doesnât want to see you. Just go,â Zelda said, her tone firm.
How could Eileen compete with Zelda, a woman whose strength had been honed by years of hard labor?
Before long, Eileen found herself standing at the door. Despite the blood on her hands and the pain in her palms, she gripped the doorknob firmly, her determination unyielding. Zelda shuddered, startled by her resolve.

âHe is my lawful husband. Arenât you the one being unreasonable?â Eileenâs eyes were filled with resolve, though her tears betrayed her determination.
Zelda seemed to soften slightly, her gaze lingering on Eileen. However, within moments, her expression turned somber as she asked, âDoes he even remember you? He recognizes only me. Iâm all thatâs left in his world!â
With that, Zelda slammed the door shut with force.
Eileenâs anguished cry pierced the air, carried by the sea breeze. It faded as it hit the shore, dissipating into bubbles that quickly vanished without a trace. The house grew eerily silent, as if emptied of all life.
âBryanâ¦â Eileen whispered his name, her voice filled with despair. Was it truly impossible for her to bring him back?
Perhaps it was the weight of her despair that strengthened her resolve. She would not give up.
âLeave this place! Donât come back, and donât disrupt our lives!â Zeldaâs voice echoed once more from inside, but Eileenâs focus remained on the door.
The memory of Bryanâs cold, harsh gaze still stung in her chest, and her heart ached with each breath.
