Chapter 484:
She shook her head. âThank you, but Iâve heard enough. You should tell Travis to run away from home soon.â
She believed that with this evidence in her handsâincluding proof of Brandonâs conditionâBrandon would surely attack Travis if he found out.
âEileen, you truly have a kind heart,â Christos reassured her with a wink. âDonât worry; Travis has already fled.â
Eileenâs worries, it seemed, were unnecessary.
âBut if you ever need him, he can return at any time,â Christos added.
Eileen stood up. âNo need. You can leave now. I have other matters to handle.â
This time, Christos let Eileen go as his phone buzzed incessantly in his pocket. Only after she had left did he decide to answer the incoming call.
âYou went into my study? What did you take?â the voice on the other end demanded.
âJust check for yourself whatâs missing!â Christos replied as he stood up and put on his hat. âIâm ending the call now.â
With his hands tucked into his pockets, Christos left the breakfast shop.
Once back at the Freguson Group, Eileen promptly contacted Mr. Wright and Mr. Watts. Unsure about the authenticity of the evidence, she urged them to assess Brandonâs response. Both men were shrewd and resourceful.
A single phone call revealed that Brandon had lost the evidence, indicating that the collaborative project between the government of Linder Land and Apex Group was now over.
After finishing his call, Brandon sensed something was wrong. He immediately checked his safe, only to find it empty. Anger surged through him, and he nearly fainted from the shock.
When he tried reaching Mr. Wright and Mr. Watts again, only to find them unreachable, it became clear that the evidence had been stolen by their people.

Lydia momentarily panicked but quickly regained her composure. âNo one was here. How could your things be missing?â
Brandonâs anger flared. âEverything disappeared overnight! How is that possible?â
âI havenât checked yet. Let me have a look,â Lydia said, trying to appear concerned. She opened her own safe, only to find it empty as well.
Feigning shock, Lydia exclaimed, âMineâs gone, too! It seems someone took advantage of the situation while we were out. Your medical report was in there, too. It must have been Bryan or Eileen. They probably knew you had united most of the Dawson family branches and are preparing to strike back!â
Brandon, believing Lydiaâs words, grew even more furious. He realized he needed to quickly gather the Dawson family branches to remove Bryan from the family and reclaim his assets.
Without saying another word to Lydia, Brandon immediately reached out to Stella, who had secluded herself in the mountains. He forced her to return.
Meanwhile, Lydia quietly breathed a sigh of relief. If Brandon discovered the truth, her plan would face serious challenges.
