Chapter 1105:
It might have been the intense look in Eileenâs eyes that made Marisa suddenly turn around. Upon seeing Eileen, Marisa stiffened slightly. She then approached Eileen and asked, âEileen, what brings you to the hospital?â
As they conversed, Marisa gave a nod to Bryan to greet him, and he returned the nod.
âA friend of ours is admitted here. Weâre here to see her,â Eileen responded with a courteous smile. âAre you here on business?â
Marisa nodded and explained, âYes. Kamila is refusing to confess. Iâm here to talk to her family to see if we can uncover anything useful.â
The recorder pen in the bag she was holding had testimonies. âKeith is staying in this hospital. Didnât you go upstairs to visit him?â Marisa inquired.
Eileen shook her head and answered, âTo avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings, I think itâs best I donât visit him.â
Marisa hesitated before asking, âDonât you⦠donât you want to let him know that youâre his daughter?â
âI donât plan to do that. He has his own family, and my presence could only cause him problems.â Eileen was shocked that Marisa was aware of her relationship with Keith. After all, Marisa had a close relationship with Dottie.
Eileen hadnât anticipated Marisaâs attempt to persuade her. âThe Aston family is already in a mess. Now, itâs practically falling apart. The Aston familyâs business has alsoâ¦â
Eileen was stunned by Marisaâs words. âIf you donât resolve your relationship with him, he will be left with nothing,â Marisa said.

Eileen ran her fingers through her long hair and furrowed her brow as she watched Marisa walk out of the hospital. âLetâs go,â Bryan said, grasping Eileenâs wrist and moving forward. Noticing her troubled look, he commented, âThe Aston familyâs issues havenât been resolved yet. Thereâs no need for you to consider telling Keith about your relationship with him now.â Kamilaâs trial was still pending, after all.
Once they were in the car, Eileen said, âItâs not that matter that concerns me. Iâm curious why Marisa is in the hospital in casual wear and what Keith might know. If Kamila was truly responsible for everything, had Keith stumbled upon any evidence over the years? This is crucial.â
The case was now public, and with everything in disarray, it seemed odd for Marisa to be gathering evidence in casual attire. There was something amiss here. For a moment, Eileen doubted whether her instincts were wrong.
Eileen waited until all was quiet outside before daring to leave. She quickly returned to the ward and immediately proceeded with Emersonâs discharge formalities.
The caretaker she hired for Emerson scrutinized her. âYour emotional state seems unstable and Emerson is still unwell. What will you do once you leave the hospital?â
Dolores was resolute. âI must leave, or I might lose Emerson. Iâll take him to a different hospital.â Upon hearing this, the caretaker assisted her in getting ready. However, the caretakerâs words lingered in Doloresâ mind. After some thought, she pulled out her phone and messaged Eileen: âIâm planning to move Emerson to another hospital. Could you assist me in arranging that?â
The message had been sent for quite some time with no response. Dolores couldnât wait any longer and decided to make a phone call. That was when she realized she had accidentally sent the message to Julio.
