The recorder pen in the bag she was holding had testimonies. “Keith is staying in this hospital. Didn’t you go upstairs to visit him?” Marisa inquired.

Eileen shook her head and answered, “To avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings, I think it’s best I don’t visit him.”

Marisa hesitated before asking, “Don’t you… don’t you want to let him know that you’re his daughter?”

“I don’t plan to do that. He has his own family, and my presence could only cause him problems.” Eileen was shocked that Marisa was aware of her relationship with Keith. After all, Marisa had a close relationship with Dottie.

Eileen hadn’t anticipated Marisa’s attempt to persuade her. “The Aston family is already in a mess. Now, it’s practically falling apart. The Aston family’s business has also…”

Once they were in the car, Eileen said, “It’s not that matter that concerns me. I’m curious why Marisa is in the hospital in casual wear and what Keith might know. If Kamila was truly responsible for everything, had Keith stumbled upon any evidence over the years? This is crucial.”

The case was now public, and with everything in disarray, it seemed odd for Marisa to be gathering evidence in casual attire. There was something amiss here. For a moment, Eileen doubted whether her instincts were wrong.

Eileen waited until all was quiet outside before daring to leave. She quickly returned to the ward and immediately proceeded with Emerson’s discharge formalities.

The caretaker she hired for Emerson scrutinized her. “Your emotional state seems unstable and Emerson is still unwell. What will you do once you leave the hospital?”

Dolores was resolute. “I must leave, or I might lose Emerson. I’ll take him to a different hospital.” Upon hearing this, the caretaker assisted her in getting ready. However, the caretaker’s words lingered in Dolores’ mind. After some thought, she pulled out her phone and messaged Eileen: “I’m planning to move Emerson to another hospital. Could you assist me in arranging that?”

The message had been sent for quite some time with no response. Dolores couldn’t wait any longer and decided to make a phone call. That was when she realized she had accidentally sent the message to Julio.
