Chapter 1080:
Since the mention of divorce, Keith had been absent from home. Kamila had been left alone in the hospital, and rumors of their impending split had been spreading fast.
To maintain her dignity, Kamila had to put on a brave face and return home. âIt has to be Eileen who leaked the news about our divorce; otherwise, the media wouldnât be covering it like this on purpose. Canât you see sheâs trying to tear our family apart?â Kamila said.
Keith spoke in a frustrated tone. âWhy are you bringing her up again? Not everything is about her. Youââ
Before he could continue, Kamila interrupted, âChoose between Eileen and me. Who matters to youâthe daughter of your old lover or the wife who has been by your side for years?â
âThatâs enough!â Keith snapped, unable to hold back his frustration any longer. âIf youâre going to keep stirring up trouble over nothing, thereâs nothing more I can do. If you want to stay in this marriage, you need to stop causing these issues. Otherwise, go ahead and get a divorce. But you need to stop interfering and leave Eileen alone.â
He then turned and headed upstairs.
Kamila suddenly spun around, raising her voice. âKeith, tell me thisâdo you even know the truth about your relationship with Eileen?â
The large villa was suddenly filled with an uncomfortable silence, heightening everyoneâs anxiety.
Keith stood still on the stairs, lost in thought for what seemed like an eternity. After a moment, he turned back and asked, âAre you seriously telling me that Eileen is my daughter? Are you worried that if she is, Iâll give her the entire Aston family fortune?â

âI wish she were,â Keith snapped, frustration evident in his voice. âIf Eileen were my daughter, Iâd give her all the family fortune to make up for the last thirty years. But since sheâs notâleave her alone. Otherwise, we might as well get a divorce now!â With that, he quickly dashed upstairs. A short while later, he reappeared carrying a suitcase and hurriedly headed to leave.
Kamila ran after him and grabbed his arm. âWhere do you think youâre going? The news about our divorce is still fresh, and there are reporters everywhere. If you leave nowââ
âI donât care about the reporters,â Keith said. âIâve had enough of this. Iâm not staying here any longer!â His patience was wearing thin.
âKeith, when we married, I supported you greatly with my familyâs money. How can you speak to me like that now? Donât you feel any guilt? People say you shouldnât abandon a wife who has shared both joys and sorrows with you. What about you? Are you really going to treat me like this over someone who has been dead for so long? Youâd rather visit her grave than stay in the same room with me, wouldnât you?â Kamilaâs hair was a disheveled mess. Once known for her elegance, her appearance now was a far cry from the poised image she had always maintained. Tears welled up in her eyes as she glared at Keith. A mix of anger and desperation was evident in her expression.
âWhat are you talking about? Youâve pushed me to the edge time and again! If you promise not to cause any more trouble for Eileen, we can try to make this work,â Keith said. After more than thirty years of marriage, they now felt like strangers to each other.
Following a lengthy silence, Kamila finally released Keith and said, âFine, I wonât cause any more trouble for Eileen, but only if you agree not to bring up divorce.â
