Leyla smiled and said, “You can say goodbye to Alvera before you leave. Then go check on your wife and see if she’s okay.”

“Thank you for your concern. I will check on her. I just hope this doesn’t disrupt the harmony between our families,” Keith said, glancing at Eileen. Clearly, he did not want any misunderstandings to distance him from the Vazquez family. After all, the person he cherished had once been a member of the Vazquez family.

If they’re reasonable, they won’t blame you for it,” Bryan reassured her, confident that Keith wasn’t the type to be unreasonable. Besides, Jaliyah had seemed fine and had even managed to take her mother-in-law to the hospital herself.

Eileen asked, “Is everything stable with the VQ Group now? When can we return to Onaland?”

She felt a growing urgency to leave. Over the past few days, Ruby had been contacting her sporadically, sounding hesitant on the phone as if she was withholding something. Despite Eileen’s repeated inquiries, Ruby always found an excuse to evade a direct answer.

“Raymond has recruited an elite team of university graduates from abroad. They’ve accepted well-paying positions and committed to at least ten years with VQ Group. They should arrive here within the week, and we’ll be able to leave after they arrive,” Bryan explained.
