Chapter 1037:
Keith suddenly realized something and sighed. âPerhaps sheâs upset that the Freguson Group secured the contract for the project. She invested a lot of effort into the project bidding, after all.â
âI understand that she would feel that way,â Eileen replied, choosing not to delve deeper. She preferred to keep her distance from the Aston family.
âDonât worry about it too much,â Leyla said with a smile, standing between Eileen and Keith. âHave you seen the little boy from the Lyons family?â she asked Keith.
Keith nodded. âI saw him briefly when they were taking him out earlier.â
Leyla smiled and said, âYou can say goodbye to Alvera before you leave. Then go check on your wife and see if sheâs okay.â
âThank you for your concern. I will check on her. I just hope this doesnât disrupt the harmony between our families,â Keith said, glancing at Eileen. Clearly, he did not want any misunderstandings to distance him from the Vazquez family. After all, the person he cherished had once been a member of the Vazquez family.
âOf course not. Donât worry about it, Keith,â Eileen reassured him quickly.
Upon hearing this, Keith relaxed and smiled. âOkay, enjoy yourselves. Iâm leaving now.â Seeing Leylaâs signal, Bryan escorted Keith courteously from the Lyons familyâs residence.
âThe women of the Vazquez family are all remarkable. You should cherish Eileen,â Keith said to Bryan, his voice tinged with regret. Bryan responded politely, âI understand that.â
After leaving the Lyons familyâs courtyard, Keith stood on the steps, observing the passersby. With a bitter smile, he added, âIf you lose her, youâll never find anyone like her again.â He patted Bryan on the shoulder, descended the steps, and got into his car to leave.

âJaliyah fell quite hard. Will her baby be okay?â she asked, her concern evident.
Keith was eager to maintain good relations with her, and Eileen shared the same sentiment. However, if something bad happened to Jaliyahâs child because of the incident, it would surely strain the bond between the two families.
âYou didnât push her, but she orchestrated the whole scene. The Aston family isnât in the right here. If theyâre reasonable, they wonât blame you for it,â Bryan reassured her, confident that Keith wasnât the type to be unreasonable. Besides, Jaliyah had seemed fine and had even managed to take her mother-in-law to the hospital herself.
Eileen asked, âIs everything stable with the VQ Group now? When can we return to Onaland?â
She felt a growing urgency to leave. Over the past few days, Ruby had been contacting her sporadically, sounding hesitant on the phone as if she was withholding something. Despite Eileenâs repeated inquiries, Ruby always found an excuse to evade a direct answer.
âRaymond has recruited an elite team of university graduates from abroad. Theyâve accepted well-paying positions and committed to at least ten years with VQ Group. They should arrive here within the week, and weâll be able to leave after they arrive,â Bryan explained.
At a traffic light, Bryan stepped on the brakes and rested his finger on the steering wheel. Turning to look at Eileen, he asked, âWhat about your grandma?â
