Chapter 1023:
She believed men could be very oblivious. Even if Eileen had been feeling sick, Bryan probably hadnât even considered that she might be pregnant.
But then again, why wouldnât Eileen tell Bryan about her pregnancy? It didnât make sense.
The more she thought about it, the more bizarre theories started forming in her mind.
A bold idea began to take shape.
âMy mother-in-law mentioned that Eileen was the one pushing for the marriage with Benicio, and she was so eager that it made Chana hesitate. It doesnât make sense that sheâs so eager to marry a man who is mentally defective, unless⦠sheâs pregnant with another manâs baby and trying to get out of her marriage with Bryan in a hurry!â Jaliyah said.
Before Miranda could even respond, Jaliyah slammed her hand on the table and stood up. âThat must be it! People always say beautiful women canât be trusted, and itâs true. I mean, look at how good-looking Bryan is, but Eileen still cheated on him.â
Miranda and Jaliyah had been close friends for years. Back in the day, their families had been on equal footing, but as time had passed, Jaliyahâs family had become rich, and her marriage into a wealthy family had widened the gap between them.
Despite the shift, Miranda remained calm and levelheaded.
âJaliyah, donât be rash. Your mother-in-law is right. You shouldnât handle this personally.â
âEven if I donât do it myself, secretly getting rid of her baby isnât enough to satisfy me. I need to see her reputation destroyed, to have everyone look down on her.â Jaliyahâs mind went to Tilda.
She remembered Kamila had mentioned that Tilda, that fool, had been persuaded by Eileen before.
Your new favorite is gαâηÏνððsâ¤cÖ m Today, she was going to kill two birds with one stone.
âIâve got a plan. Iâm heading out now,â Jaliyah said.
With that, she quickly stood up and left.
The moment she stepped out of Mirandaâs office, she saw Eileen exiting the elevator with a doctor in a white coat who had a âPsychology Departmentâ badge on his chest.
âThank you so much. Please keep this confidential,â Eileen said. She only said this after sending the psychologist downstairs.
Since Dalores was reluctant to see a psychologist, Eileen had subtly suggested to the psychologist to tell Dalores she wasnât currently ill.
In reality, Daloresâ mental state was deteriorating. If she continued like this, she would face increasingly severe mood swings in the future and might even end up harming herself or others.
Afraid to reveal the truth to Dalores, Eileen reminded the psychologist to keep Daloresâ situation a secret and then went upstairs.
Having heard Eileenâs conversation, Jaliyah thought of something. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
âHey Jessica, itâs Jaliyah. Iâve got a plan that could benefit us both. Interested? Donât play dumb. Your fatherâs in prison; you want revenge, donât you? This is all Eileenâs fault⦠Letâs meet up, and Iâll fill you in.â
The psychologist concluded that it was an indirect mental illness.
