Rylan's POV
I got home at around 1am last night, and after waking Rowan up again to continue yelling at him about how he knew I wouldn't allow him and Ravan in the same room together after the incident on the stairs, he still went and brought her into my bedroom.
I mean even out of all the rooms in this 3 story house, he took her to my room, where he knew I would be the least pleased.
After around half an hour of yelling at him at 1am, I left the room and took a shower before going to bed. I knew Rowan was crying. I knew he was crying until he fell asleep at 2:30 but I could not bring myself to console him.
So as an apology I woke up at 9:00 to cook him his favourite blueberry and raspberry pancake; his father's recipe, they are the only pancakes he will eat.
Hearing the soft patter of footsteps falling on the stairs as Rowan came downstairs. I willed myself to prepare a short message about how I was sorry and how I'd take him to the beach so that Rowan could swim freely.
I guided him to a chair that had 3 pancakes placed in front of it on a plate that had ice-cream on it and with maple syrup on the table close by for easy access.
"Look, Rowan. Honey, I'm Sorry," I started, "I shouldn't have blown up on you like that. It wasn't fair on you, but I was just so annoyed at you for going against the order I gave. The only one I've given to you in this whole relationship, is to just ignore and stay away from her. Now eat this and get yourself ready, I'm taking you to the beach as an apology."
I didn't give him the chance to respond as I had already turned around and walked out of the room to get our towels and beach accessories ready.
I knew he needed time. After every fight we'd had, one person apologises and the other then takes the time they need to process. Then everything goes back to normal.
I hear him hum in satisfaction as I start to make my way up both flights of stairs to the cupboard that holds a variety of items needed to go out.
Ravan's POV
I was currently at the beach with Gael as we decided it would be a great way to spend our Friday off from school, especially after the night we had.
I loved the beach, and I felt very connected to it though I'm not too sure why. I know the rest of my family don't like the beach. They openly despise it and don't let me go often.
Gael and I arrived at the beach at 10 am. Trying to recall the party, I know that after 10pm I was too drunk to remember anything that happened.
"HEY GAEL'' I yell out to the boy that's already in the water, "WHAT HAPPENED AFTER AROUND 10 PM?"
Gael's soggy head popped up from beneath the waves, his hair spraying droplets of water. "I think at that point you were dragged out of the lounge room byyy guess who.... ROWAN!! Girl I think you hooked up with him! In Rylan's bedroom! I tried to follow you two but the crush of people stopped my movement," he said.
I felt my stomach drop and I had to fight to keep my balance in the soft sand. I was suddenly too hot and too cold at once.
"No no no! You have to be kidding me! Surely I didn't- I couldn't have- I haven't done it ever before!" I insisted, an edge of panic creeping into my voice.
Surely I would have remembered something as momentous as literally sleeping with the most beautiful boy in the school! Gael only shrugged and stepped out of the water so that we could converse without yelling.
"I think you did but then at 11 I saw Rylan storm out of the room and he started to shut the party down. I tried to come and get you to take you home but Rylan started yelling and Marqus dragged me out of there and took me home. I think Rylan took you home, actually," he replied.
"Surely I didn't do anything, right GayGay? I'd be in pain right now wouldn't I? Surely Rowan, the sweetest guy in school wouldn't have done anything. Even that monster Rylan wouldn't have stooped to that level. Right?" I responded
"Babes I don't know, but you're alright, you're not in pain. I don't know if you did or if you didn't. It may be best to ignore both of them for a little while. Only speak to them when you absolutely need to in class alright babes." he replied, reaching out to lay a comforting hand on my shoulder. He could probably feel my heart racing just by touching me but his words did ease my anxieties slightly.
I gave him a grateful smile but he didn't seem to notice, his brow furrowed as he focused on something in the distance. Quietly, he leaned down to speak to me again.
"Hey.... Babes..... Don't turn around.... But speaking of the devils..... They are both here. They haven't seen us yet. Maybe they won't notice us, and we can get out of here quietly"
But of course when someone tells you not to turn around you turn around. That's just how us humans work.
Rowan and Rylan were placing their things down further along the beach and hadn't noticed us in the water yet.
Slowly making my way on to the sand, I ran to my bag, got my towel out, grabbed my clothes and everything we brought and tried to make my way off the beach without being seen.
Unfortunately for me though, Gael had decided that right now would be the perfect day to be slow, even walking further into the water. Just my luck. At that point, I was going to run home and ditch him.
He chose to lag behind; he can live with the consequences of being embarrassed at the beach alone.
Racing home, I couldn't help but wonder why my luck was so bad that the two boys that I'm trying my hardest to avoid happened to go to the beach on the same day I decided to go.
It looks like I'm going to have to try so much harder to steer clear of the two handsome devils.
