When Andersen walks away and me and Angela walk up to Talia.
"I got the Tap." Talia says
"I heard. Congrats. Don't forget about us when you get your detective's badge." Angela says to her
"I'm sorry, do I know either of you?" She ask in a joking manner
"Insufferable already. You'll fit right in." I say to her
"Hey, I mean, it's not a done deal yet. I still have to take the exam." Talia says
"Well, I hope you both do good on the exam. Though, Ang, I really do want you to stay with patrolling. I know becoming a detective is your dream." I tell them
"One, thank you, and two, patrolling was fun but you do know and are right of how becoming a detective has always been my dream. But, I will never forget the memories of patrolling." Angela tells me
We all reach the bottom of the stairs and meet with Tim.
"What's going on?" Tim asks us
"Talia and Angela just got the Tap." I say
"No kidding. That's great." TIm says in a happy tone for them
In the carport, Grey is supervising delivery of someone in a patrol car; it's Isabel Bradford.
"What is she doing back here?" Talia asks and I shrug but leave to go patrol while Tim went over towards Grey and Isabel
Soon, me and West were on the street doing our annual patrolling job.
"I heard Talia and Angela got the Tap. You okay?" West asks me and I get a look of confusion
"I'm fine. She's my friend and Angela is my sister. I'm happy for both of them." I tell him
Soon, we get out of the car and walk up to where a woman is riding a pony in front of a store.
"Whoo! Yeah, baby! Come on. She's comin' round the outside, going down -" The lady says laughing
"All right, race is over. Get off." I tell her
"Did I win?" The lady asks
"Sure. Have you been drinking, ma'am?" West asks her
"No. I'm high." She says to us truthfully
"You're under arrest." I tell her
"What? I paid for this ride." She says
"Get down." I tell her
"Okay." She says
When she gets off the pony, something fell out of her bag onto the sidewalk. Me and West both see that it is a disembodied human foot.
"What the hell is that?" West asks her
"Looks like a foot. The real question is, why?" I ask
"Why what?" She asks us
"Why do you have a dead foot?" West asked
"It fell off." She tells us
"Of who?" West asks again
"My boyfriend. He had gangrene." She says
"And you're keeping it because it reminds you of him?" I ask her
"No. I thought I could sell it." She tells us
"All right. Come on." I tell her after getting the cuffs on her then turn to West "Grab the foot. You're not gonna puke on me, are you, Boot?" I ask him
"No, ma'am. I'm glad that my discomfort is cheering you up." He tells me
"Me too." I say and we took Annie after finding her name out and took her to the station but then the thing was broken so there was a bus that was taking all the people who were arrested to the county.
We went to the food truck we always go to and the boots are sitting at a different table than us as always while me and Tim are at one table waiting for Talia.
"The rooks were asking how they can help Nolan." I tell him
"I found heavy drinking really helped knock out the nightmares." Tim tells me
"Maybe keep that to yourself." I tell him and then Talia comes up to us "Mm. Detective Talia graces us with her presence."
"Yeah, it breaks my heart to see you out of uniform. Hmm. You seem shorter." I tell Talia
"I need to talk to you." Talia says to TIm
"Come on, Boot!" I yell for West and we leave
Soon, we finished patrolling and it was night and I was about to leave when I saw Tim in his car looking down at something but I realized it was his phone he was looking at so I went over and got into the passenger side of his car.
"Hey." I say
"What are you doing here?" Tim asks me
"Are you kidding? Hanging out near the airport is a normal Tuesday night for me. You'd be right here if the situations were reversed. And I brought fries." I tell him while showing him the fries
"Thanks. You know, you'd have to be in an actual relationship for the situations to be reversed." TIm tells me
"What are you, my mother?" I ask him
Soon, we go to a motel with Isabel who was going undercover.
"Okay. Here we go." Isabel says with a deep breath
She knocks on the motel room door. We are watching her wire cam, in the surveillance van, and in Tim's car.
"Who are you?" Pony asks
"Carson sent me." Isabel says
"She's nervous." Tim says
"She's fine. She's done stuff like this before." I tell him
"Get out of here, junkie." Pony tells him
"Hey. I have the money that Carson owes Vance. Does he want it or not?" Isabel asks when Pony reluctantly lets Isabel into the room and shuts the door
"You Vance?" Isabel asks
"You got my money?" Vance asks
"Yeah." Isabel says
"Count it." Vance says and she unzips the bag
"The money's all here." Pony tells Vance and Vance hands Isabel a package of heroin
"How fast can you move that?" Vance asks her
"Couple of weeks." Isabel says
"Good. Tell Carson next time he sends you to do his work for him, I'll assume you're in charge and put him in the ground." Vance says
"It's done." Tim says
"Just take the brick and go." Talia says
"Hey, wait. Um, we could move more than this." Isabel says
"What the hell is she doing?" Tim asks while watching Isabel's camera point of view
"Another kilo at least." Isabel adds again
"Really? 'Cause Carson always said no to that much weight." Vance tells her
"What is she doing?" I ask watching the video feed
"If he sends for another kilo, we can follow his guys to their source. She wants to end this." Tim says
"Ah, smart." I tell him while we continue to watch the video feed
"No, desperate. Gonna make him suspicious." Tim says
"Okay. I'll get you another kilo. But you'll have to wait." Vance tells her
"Sure. I got no place else to be. This place got a mini-bar?" Isabel asks
"We should go in now." Tim says
"Negative. We wait for the drop." Wolfe says and we continue to watch the video feed
"I know you from someplace?" Vance says in a questioning voice
"I don't think so." Isabel tells him
"I do. You look really familiar." Vance says again
"I'm an addict, and you're a dealer, so I'm sure we've crossed paths." Isabel says
"He's on to her. He knows she was a cop." TIm says
"It's a big city. He could have seen her anywhere." Wolfe tells Tim
"Or she busted one of his friends back in the day." Talia says
"Could be. Maybe you just have one of those faces." Vance says
"Sure." Isabel tells him "Yeah. I, uh, get that all the time." Isabel adds when Vance chuckles
The image starts to shake and it cuts out as soon as the audio feed does.
"What happened?" I ask
"We lost signal." Tim says
"We lost her." Wolfe tells us
"No, no, no, no, no, no. It's probably just a glitch." Vestri tells us
"Or he's on to her. We need to go in!" Talia says
"All units, hold position!" Wolfe says
"He's on to her. I'm going in." Tim says
"No. It's just a glitch, Tim. Hold position. All units, hold. Damn it. Go. Go, go." Wolfe says
The surveillance van speeds across the parking lot and pulls up in front of the motel, joining Tim's car. All of us jump out and bust into the room where Vance just was moments ago.
"Police!" I yell
We clear each room. Tim finds Isabel's wire and some blood on the floor.
"Clear! They must have gone out the back." I tell him
"You did this!" Tim yells as he turns at Wolfe
"Hey, hey!" I yell at Tim
"You did this!" Tim yells again
"Hey!" I yell at him
"You!" Tim yells again
"Hey!" I yell stopping Tim from moving anymore
"Come here!" Tim yells at him and I finally get him to look at me
"Calm down! Calm down!" I tell him and he does
