Last year, I made a new best friend (m). We were pretty close. One day he asked me who I liked and I said him as a joke but days went by and he would ask me more often and my answer would be him. I actually started falling for him. My feelings for him had stopped because I thought there was no point. When I told him I didn't like him anymore, he said "LOL yay" I thought he was seriously relieved.
Just a week ago, I found out he liked me back all along and was too shy to say anything.
He thinks I don't care about him anymore when I still do. He's the key to my happiness and I haven't been depressed in the past week. Knowing that he's mad at me hurts.
Even my best friend is siding with him.
