Scott had a smug look on his face as he inched closer towards Susan. He was complimenting himself, “For example, I am a very loyal person.”

“I don’t sense that from you at all.”

Susan shot a glance at Scott and couldn’t help commenting.

Scott didn’t seem to care as he continued after letting out a cough, “Alright, I will stop teasing you. The old man used to have three wives, and his life was really messy back then. However, after hooking up with my mother, my brother’s mother was so furious that she even got herself hospitalized. In the end, she never recovered, and after passing away, the old man changed his ways once and for all.”

After mulling over something, he added to his explanation, “So, the old man insists that our generation must take relationships seriously.”

After hearing that, Susan couldn’t help but frown.

Taking relationships seriously... Edward didn’t look like that at all since he was having such a great time out there. Scott didn’t look that part either.

“So, are you saying that your eldest brother is the only one keeping his relationship life clean?” Susan couldn’t help asking.

Scott flashed a smile, “Among us, our eldest brother is the most playful one, at least compared to us, Edward and me just look like playboy but in reality we treasure real connection a lot. My new sister-in-law who is coming today has a child who is not young anymore. Despite that, he was never acknowledged by the Ford family. If it were not for the old man prioritizing familial ties since two years ago, they might never have the chance to officially be a part of the Ford family.”

As soon as he finished his sentence, the entrance suddenly opened.

A man who resembled Logan strutted into the building while saying something to a woman behind him, “Come in now, I think Edward and Scott has already reached.”

“Okay.” The woman responded while shouting some instructions towards her back, “Fetch the things I have brought in.”

Although she didn’t enter the house yet, but one could feel her presence just from the commotion. A plethora of gifts had been carried into the house and placed on the floor.

Susan had a feeling that she had heard this woman’s voice before, but before she even looked up to check out who that woman was, she heard that woman urging his son into the house.

“Jarvis, come in now.”

Jarvis! And the family name of this family was Ford! So his name was Jarvis Ford!

Susan was stunned for a while. She raised her head and saw Jarvis and Kendra entering the building, and on the side Ruben was making sure their workers were carrying all the gifts into the house properly.

At that moment, both Susan and Jarvis had locked their gaze. Jarvis was mildly surprised when he saw Susan was also there, but there was also a hint of coldness in his eyes.

Susan simply felt like she had been electrocuted. She didn’t know whether to hide or to produce any other response.

At that moment, there were sounds of footsteps coming from the second floor. Edward and Logan were slowly descending the stairs.

Susan felt even more awkward...

Then, without warning, Edward appeared by Susan’s side and wrapped his arm around hers while saying, “Follow me upstairs. I’ll show you the room I used to stay in when I was still a child. You will know more about me that way.”

Edward uttered these words with immense passion.

Susan nodded hastily and followed Edward’s footsteps to head upstairs. If she continued to stay in the living room, she would feel even more awkward.

She didn’t know whether Edward would recognize Jarvis, but she prayed that they wouldn’t have too much to do with each other so that it wouldn’t add on to the complications the family already had.

However, the moment Edward entered the bedroom, he glared at Susan before she could even catch her breath, “Is that your little ex-boyfriend? So he is the newly acknowledged grandson of the Ford family?”

“...”

This was bad! Edward had already recognized Jarvis.

“I just realized that too.”

Susan bit her lips hard, not knowing how to continue this conversation.
