Elisha returns back to Brendan's house Sunday morning. After Saturday night's adventure, she stayed inside and wait till Brendan picked her up.

Monday went by quickly, Kacy worked but ignored Evan and Elisha all day. She didn't even spare Evan a glance when he told her bye when she was about to leave.

Elisha went over to Mrs. Gunner's house for dinner with Brendan that night. She texted Evan good night when she got back to her room and chat with Zack for about an hour before falling asleep.

Tuesday same route for Elisha while Brendan tried to locate where Jett is, but wasn't successful. After Elisha was about to leave the café, Zack called her asking her if they can grab a drink at a bar which she agreed to.

"What's your poison Elisha?" Zack asks as they enter the bar, a few girls turn their heads to watch them well more specifically Zack.

"Tequila and vodka", she answers proudly.

"Nice choice, bartender four shots of tequilas and a beer please", he orders.

"I can't drink four shots", Elisha gasps at him.

"Yes you can, take one after the next", he says as the shots come.

Elisha takes the shots one after the next and shakes her head,"that felt good."

"I know, but that's all you're getting", Zack states.

"Aw man", she pouts with a scoff as Zack drinks his beer.

"Hey, I saw you came in and couldn't stop stare at you. Can I get your number?" A light blonde hair woman approaches them.

Elisha and Zack look at each other and Elisha shrugs,"sure, give me your phone", Zack stretches out his arm for the woman's phone.

"I wasn't talking to about you, I'm talking about this beautiful young lady here", she winks at Elisha who looks like she is about to run for the hills.

"What?!" She gasps.

The woman laughs,"so can I get your number?"

"Um...."

"She's taken", Zack says holding Elisha's hand.

"Oh I assume..... I'm terribly sorry", the woman blushes and scurries away quickly.

They both burst out laughing,"that was the funniest thing...", Zack laughs harder as Elisha glares at him.

"It isn't funny", she slaps his arm,"I need more shots."

"No more shots, I promised your friends and my cousin that I wouldn't get you drunk", Zack explains.

"Fine", she grumbles.

"Anyway the reason we are here now is because I got something to tell you", he adds.

"What?"

"I'm traveling on Thursday since tomorrow is July 4th. I'll be spending it here then on Thursday I'm flying out. I'm going to California first then to a Caribbean cruise and to Nepal", he explains,"I'll be gone majority of the summer, been planning this trip for a long time. Plus, my cousins been wanting to see me who lives in California."

"I wouldn't be seeing you till the ending of August?"  Elisha pouts,"or at all if I decide to go back to Connecticut?"

"Oh yeah,you  still haven't decide where you want to stay yet?"

"Nope, I like Connecticut. It was like a second home to me for four years, but Chicago been my home for seventeen years though. This is where I grew up, my friends are here and my childhood memories", she adds.

"You're right, just go with what your heart tells you", he pats her shoulder.

"I'll miss you though, promise to send me lots of pictures, call and text okay", she hugs him.

"I already plan to, anyway we better get going. I have to finish pack", Zack pays and they get up then leave.

As they exit the bar, gun shots fire at them missing them by an inch. Elisha screams as Zack curses, covering her and taking her back inside the bar.

"Hey, do you have a back door we can use?" Zack asks the bartender who looks very concern and a few people in the bar  watch outside.

"Let's just call Brendan", Elisha gets out her phone as another gun shot is fire scaring some people.

They all duck as Brendan answers,"Lisha, I'm on my way. My men already reported what happened, two of them were walking down the block where the bar is located, don't leave the bar, be there in five minutes."

When he hangs up, Elisha says to Zack,"we aren't leaving, we have to stay here. Brendan's men are outside right now."

Another gun shot is fire and people scream, running out the bar while some hide behind tables.

Brendan arrives at the bar and sees his men standing in front of the door with their guns.

"Where are those bastards?" He demands.

"Two dead, four injured", one of them reports.

"Let's just get Elisha and Zack out of here before the cops arrive", he orders.

"I think that's a problem sir, cops are already here", one of them points behind him as they all hide their guns.

"You guys deal with the cops, I'll get Elisha and her friend", Brendan enters the bar and sees Elisha behind a table looking pale with Zack next to her.

"Hey, let's go. You're safe now", Brendan takes her into his arm,"thank you for not getting her or yourself kill", he shakes Zack's hand.

"No problem, I'm glad she's safe. I'll go deal with those nosy cops", he chuckles.

Brendan puts Elisha in the backseat and drives back to his house.

Elisha cries silently in the backseat,"hey Lisha, you're okay now. You're safe and I promise you I'll find out who those bastards work for and they will pay dearly", he promises.

"That's if my father's or Jett's gang don't seek them out first", she mutters.

"True, I don't think its Jett this time. You're priceless to him and your father, so they wouldn't dear point a gun at you", he points out.

"But who would want to kill me?" She sighs.

"Your guess is as good as mine, but we will know soon", Brendan guarantees her.

"Is she hurt?!" Damon demands,"I swear if she is I'll kill you", he snaps.

"No, Brendan's men were there and protected the bar till Brendan arrives", Jett explains.

"Are you sure you don't know who did this? I can't have someone targeting her while we try to get to her. This will make it even more complicated than it is", he sighs,"I want to know who did this and by Thursday or I'll fly over and seek that f*cker out for myself", he snaps and hangs up.

Jett calls his two investigator,"go see what you can find out who attacked my bride to be and when you get the name of the person and find out his right location tell me. You got less than forty eight hours."

Jett sighs, not only did he had to deal with a double crosser and a woman who keeps slipping away, but now also someone targeting her.

If he wasn't so close to Damon, all now he could have been in one of his private mansions or yachts having the time of his life with no worries.

The next day Elisha gets a call from Evan,"hey Elisha, busy today?"

"Not really, what's up?"

"I wanted to know if you want to hang out later, maybe watch fireworks tonight", he offers.

"Um..", she watches Brendan and he takes the phone.

"This is Elisha's best friend, what do you want?"

Evan answers.

"I see, well hope you don't mind me tagging along", he says,"see you later", and hangs up.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to you know", Elisha states.

"I want to come I got to make sure you're safe", he says.

She sighs.

Evan waits for Elisha and her best friend to arrive, it is 9 pm and fireworks start at 10.

They will be hanging out at a small restaurant and go to the nearby park to watch the fireworks.

"Hey Evan", Elisha greets him as Brendan walks in after her, Evan hugs her.

"Glad you can make it", he says and nods at Brendan who nods back.

"Yeah, been quite a day too", she sits down.

Brendan's phone rings,"I have to take this", he excuses himself and step outside.

"So,enjoying your little break from the café?" Elisha asks Evan.

"Yeah, I got to sleep today and watch movies", he nods.

"I did anything but sleep, I was busy doing other stuff", she explains.

"Yeah, did you talked to Kacy today at all?"

"Nope, she was out when I went to check up on Zack. I think she's avoiding me or us", she shrugs.

"Yeah, she doesn't take rejection good at all", he sighs.

"Not at all, anyway happy to be graduating?"

"Yeah I wish it was this summer though, then after the summer I can start my job till I retire", Evan chuckles and  Elisha follows.

"I don't know if I want to just stay in the job I have or start my Masters next year", she says.

"Only time will tell, should study law or something."

"Not law", she shakes her head.

Brendan returns,"sorry about that, business call", he fixes his jacket.

"No problem man", Evan waves him off.

"Ready to order guys?" Elisha questions.

"Sure."
