Brendan picks Elisha up at 9 pm after he comes from his mother's house, they spent the evening together and catch up. Brendan's father been trying to contact him, but he been ignoring it.
"I'm going away for a few days Lisha", Brendan says when they get to his house.
"Okay so will I be staying here alone?" She asks.
"No I called Zane, he'll be coming over tomorrow", he replies.
"Cool just bring back a souvenir", she grins.
"Will do", he unlocks the front door, she goes upstairs while he locks the door then sighs.
"What's wrong?" Elisha comes back downstairs.
"My father been trying to contact me, but I don't want to talk to him", he replies.
"Why not?"
"Because I don't know what to say", Brendan shrugs.
"Lame excuse, call him. It can be important for all we know", Elisha states.
"Fine, but if it doesn't go well don't blame me", he warns.
"I wouldn't, anyway I'm going to bed now", she walks back up the stairs.
Brendan dials the number he thought he would never call,
"Brendan?"
"Hey dad, I know we need to talk."
"Yeah we do."
Brendan enters Elisha's room thirty minutes later, "thanks Lisha", he kisses her forehead and then turns off the light.

Elisha wakes up the next day and checks the time, 7: 15 am. The café opens at 8 am sharp, she gets ready then puts on her outfit for the day.
She went downstairs and to the kitchen where Brendan is making breakfast.
"Morning, Malcolm is coming to pick you up soon", he says as she watches the time, 7:35 am.
He places a plate with waffles and bacon along with a glass of milk in front of her as she sits down.
"Thanks so what time is your flight?"
"1:30 pm, Zach will pick you up when you finish work this evening", Brendan explains.
She nods as Malcolm enters the house,"morning guys, ready Elisha?"
"A few more minutes, just have to finish eat and get my purse", she answers.
"Draven is going with you?" Malcolm turns to Brendan.
"Yeah, I trust Zach more to make sure Lisha stays safe till I get back", he shrugs.
"Cool, let's go Elisha. Kacy is already by the café", they leave.
"I'll call you tonight when I meet in my hotel room Lisha", Brendan calls.
"Just take your time Brendan", she chuckles.
When Malcolm pulls up in front of the café, Kacy is already there texting on her phone.
"See you later Malcolm", Elisha gets out the vehicle and Malcolm drives off.
"Finally, I thought you wasn't coming", Kacy exaggerates.
"Its not even open yet", she points out as Evan now unlocking the door and flipping the sign to Open.
"Morning Elisha, see you brought company", Evan watches Kacy who shamelessly checks him out.
"Yeah, this is Kacy my friend's sister. Kacy is co worker Evan" Elisha introduces them and they enter the building.
"Are you here for the summer?" Evan asks Kacy.
"Yeah just finish my first year in university", she replies proudly.
"Cool."
"Morning Miranda, I brought someone who wants to apply for a job", Elisha greets miss Miranda.
"That's wonderful dear, where is him or her?" She claps.
"Talking to Evan, I'll go call her", Elisha puts on her apron and puts down her purse.
"Hey the boss wants to see you", she tells her.
"I'll be back", Kacy smiles at Evan and went to the office.
"She's really something", Evan states, "and flirts a lot too."
"Yeah no doubt", Elisha chuckles as the first customer arrives.

"Guys this is your new co worker Kacy", miss Miranda comes out thirty minutes later with Kacy.
"Hey I have a big order", a customer approaches the counter.
"Kacy, why don't you be our new waitress? I need one around here anyway", Miranda suggests.
"You got a waitress? That's great, I have two tables with a huge order and will tip good if I can get it quickly", the customer says.
"Sure I'll do it", Kacy sighs.
"Thank you."
"Is it lunch yet? I'm hungry", Kacy whines three hours later.
"We get lunch break at 11:45, so ten more minutes", Evan explains.
"For how long?" Elisha adds.
"Till 12:30, so forty five years which is good timing", he answers and she nods.
Ten minutes later
"See you in forty minutes, I'm gonna eat lunch with some friends", Kacy leaves as Evan locks the door as she steps out.
"What's for lunch?" Elisha inquires and he smiles.
"Brought extra chicken sandwiches which I made this morning", he says proudly.
"Sounds delicious", she licks her lips.
"It is", he assures her.

Elisha texts Tony when Malcolm picks her up.
Elisha: Hey stranger
Tony: Finally, I thought you were dead
Elisha: Stop being dramatic, back in Connecticut yet?
Tony: Yeah came back last Saturday, stayed a few days my parents left
Elisha: Nice and my roommates?
Tony: Jackie is packing up to move to Pennsylvania by end of this month with her boyfriend and Felicity is going to Canada by the end of this week, her boyfriend going as well
Elisha: And my stuff? The apartment will be on the market when they leave
Tony: I told Jackie to pack it up and bring it over to me and I'll send it to you when you're ready. That's if you're not moving back to Connecticut by the end of the summer
Elisha: We'll see, I still have to make up my mind where I want to settle first
Tony: You'll tell me when you decide
Elisha: Will do, maybe you should move to Chicago and we can rent a place
Tony: Very tempting, but my life is in Connecticut. Maybe for vacation when I get time off, remember I am doing my Masters
Elisha: Yeah and still no girlfriend
Tony: I'll have you know, I did have hook ups remember
Elisha: One night stands, how can I forget?
Tony: Got to go, going out for drinks with a few old college classmates
Elisha: Have fun

"Hey Zane, what's for dinner?" Elisha asks when she enters the house.
"Not sure, do you want take outs or make a quick meal?" He shrugs as he is laying shirtless on the couch, showing off his brown skin and his tattoos on his chest.
"Definitely quick meal."
"Spaghetti and meatballs, mac and cheese in the box, frozen pizza", he answers with a shrug.
"You seriously need a girlfriend", she mumbles.
"And you need a boyfriend, but you don't hear me complaining", Zane retorts.
"Touché."
"Hey I need some of my stuff from my apartment, mind coming with me to get them and we stop by a place for dinner?" He gets up, putting on his T shirt.
"Sure, why not", Elisha shrugs as he turns off the television and they both leave the house.
When they arrive at the street where Zane lives, he stops in front of an apartment building,"give me five minutes and keep the doors lock", he tells her and gets out, going up the stairs and unlocking the front door.
Brendan texts her.
Brendan: Where are you?
Elisha: In front of Zane's apartment, why?
Brendan: I just got a report that a black van just drive pass my house, tell Zane not to return there until its safe to do so
Elisha: What to do for the time being then?
Brendan: Get dinner and drive around till I text you again
Zane returns,"what's wrong Elisha?"
"Brendan texted me, he said not to return back to his house until he knows its safe", she informs him.
"Well how about we get dinner then we go to our old hang out spot we used to go back in highschool?" He suggests.
"Sounds good, haven't been there since I came back."

"Sir, the house is dark and no curtains are moving", one of Jett's men report.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes and no vehicle is park either."
'Where are you Brendan and where's Elisha?' Jett thoughts.
"No one saw Brendan for the entire day?" He demands.
"No sir, but the girl at her workplace", his man answers.
"Hmmm, you better try and find him or else I'll fire you then kill you", Jett snaps and hangs up.
He can't deal with this kind of stress tonight, he gets out a bottle of wine and a glass. He calls his blonde hair hook up to come over for the night, maybe she'll ease his stress for him.
Then his phone rings.
"I told you to stop calling me", he snaps.
"I know, but I need money", she sighs.
"I'll have some transfer to you and this will be the last time you're getting money from me because, I'm changing my phone number", he declares and hangs up then call his bank manager.
"Send ten thousand dollars to the bank account I told you about and then permanently lock off my account wiring to that account", he orders and hangs up.
The blonde hair chick arrives ten minutes later wearing a tight red dress with matching heels no doubt nothing under the dress.
"Glad you call", she says to Jett.
"Glad you can make it", he replies.
"Always have time for you baby", she kisses him.

Two hours later Zane and Elisha return back to Brendan's house,"I don't know about you, but I'm crashing early", Elisha yawns.
"Its not even ten yet", Zane frowns.
"I'm tired okay, night", she waves him off.
"I'll be watching television if you need me", he states.
She goes upstairs and change into her pajamas," night Brendan", she whispers when she lays down on the bed.
