Chapter 49 - Black & White
After I had managed to vomit all over the backseat of his Maserati, Jasper quickly led me inside, holding my hair back as I hurled a little more into the toilet.
"You okay?" He asked again twenty minutes later as I was folding the laundry.
"Do I look okay?" I snapped without thinking, immediately regretting it, particularly since I actually felt perfectly fine. "Shit, Jasper, I'm sorry, I -"
"Hey," he cut me off as he brushed my hair away from my face. "I know, it's been one hell of a long day."

"I think we should still call you a doctor, babe," he said, sighing softly. "Just in case it gets worse."

"That's it," I heard Jasper's voice speak as he walked in behind me. "We're getting you to the doctors - now."
I nodded as I cleaned myself up before following him to the car where he drove me to the hospital.
"Scarlett?" Rachel the receptionist called out as we neared the front desk. "Is that you?"
"No, it's a freaking hologram," I drawled out sarcastically before letting out a pained groan as my head throbbed painfully.
"Call a doctor, please," Jasper muttered as she complied.
"What seems to be the problem, Miss Valentina?" The doctor asked as he led us to one of the rooms.
"I just feel so damn nauseous," I murmured feeling a little drowsy.
"Right, well I'll just run a couple of tests and we'll take it from there, yes?"
"Sure," I yawned, closing my eyes.
"Doctor, what the hell is wrong with her?" I heard Jasper ask a while after I had been poked and prodded by this damned doctor.
"Nothing is wrong with her, Mr Queen," he reassured Jasper before turning his attention to me.
"So why have I been vomiting all day? And why do I feel so damn tired all of a sudden?"
"Because, Miss Valentina, you're pregnant," he smiled warmly as almost choked on my own tongue. "I'll give you two a minute to soak it up."
Slowly, he left the room, closing the door behind him as Jasper and I looked at each other.
"Holy shit," I breathed as Jasper's expression mirrored mine.
"I'm going to be a father," he spoke in awe as my expression softened.
"I don't know what to say," I admitted truthfully as he took my hand in his. "I'm... Surprised to say the least."
"Scar-"
"Pregnant? Fully pregnant? As in-Â baby in my stomach pregnant?" I interrupted him as I questioned myself. "I am actually pregnant. I'm going to be a mom, oh my God!"
I broke out into a smile as Jasper pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"Everything okay?" The doctor asked as he came in.
"Yep," I grinned as he handed me some papers and booklets.
"Doc, we just had really rough sex," Jasper spoke suddenly as I gave him a horrified look.
"Jasper!" I gasped as he gave me a desperate look.
"Is our baby going to be okay? Is it -"
"Mr Queen," the doctor spoke reassuringly. "Your baby is fine, I assure you."
This whole thing felt so unbelievably surreal.
"If you'd just like to wait here for a couple of minutes, I'll be back with some important information. I take it this is your first?" He asked as we nodded. "That's fine. Give me a few minutes and I'll let you know what you'll need to be doing during the course of the next few months."
"Thanks, doctor," Jasper nodded as he left.
"We're going to be parents, Jasper," I repeated as I looked up at him.
"We're going to be parents, Scarlett," he repeated as he caressed my cheek softly. "No more rough séx for a year, for you though, babe."
"God, you're shameless!" I groaned as he laughed.
I was too busy on cloud nine to retort back with some smart ass comment.
Because, holy fuck, Jasper and I were actually going to be parents.

How are you all doing? Hope you're good! I got my A Level results on Thursday and unfortunately I didn't do as well as I had hoped to do so I'm going to be resitting a couple of the exams next year to try and do a little better :( I hope those of you who received your results were happy with them!
