~"Y/n's Birthday"~
3rd Person's POV
The next week, the last term of the year arrived.
The results for the year exam also came. Hermione and Y/n were once again tied on the first place for the 3rd years. Y/n told Hermione that she could ruled the first place if she didn't drop Divination in the last moment but Hermione was happy though. She liked sharing the first place with Y/n.
Jake ranked first in his year as well. He got straight O's in all the O.W.L.S he took. He was followed by Julyn in the second rank. Fred and George got lesser O.W.L.S than them but they were happy that they at least passed. Christopher also rank first in his years. Percy also performed well in the N.E.W.T.S he took.
During lunch of the second last day. Hermione and Yn told Harry and Ron that they dropped a few subjects. "Are you two sure??? You have the best thing to manage all those classes" Ron said while munching his food. "It sounds good but it was a mess!!!!" Y/n exclaimed. "I agree... I don't want that time-turner headache again.. It is extremely rare for a reason... and with Muggle Studies and Divination gone.. I'll have a normal time table" Hermione said
"What subjects did you drop?" Harry asked Y/n while sitting across her. "Muggle Studies and Ancient Runes" Y/n replied while drinking water. "Why not Divination??" Ron asked and Y/n just shrugged.
She decided to not drop Divination because she knew that Professor Trelawney was going to be a good warning for her. If she continues to take her class, she might find out what's coming in future.
The Last Feast of the year was extremely enjoyable. With Gryffindor Quidditch team winning the Quidditch Cup, Hermione and Y/n ranking first with a huge record, Jake's O.W.L.S and Percy's N.E.W.T.S scores, it was destined for Gryffindor to win the house cup which they did. The Great Hall had Scarlet Red and Gold banners and decoration. Everyone was enjoying the evening.
The next day, it was time to go back. In the third year Girl's dormitory, all five of the girls had packed everything up and were just checking everywhere if they left something. Hermione was also making the bed one last time while Y/n was in the bathroom.
But then suddenly, she heard a loud screech from the bathroom. All four girls looked at the bathroom they knew that Y/n was inside. Just when Hermione was about to go inside, Y/n came out with a horrified expression. Hermione went towards her instantly. "What happened Y/n??? you alright?"
"I got it" Y/n muttered. "mn?" Hermione asked
"Â The red alert...... I got it" Y/n said out loud making other 3 girls hear that as well. All four of them knew that Y/n didn't her menstrual cycle yet and they were a little worried for her. And now she got it. But they didn't know how to tell her how they were feeling because Y/n looked annoyed.
She sat on her bed with a grumpy noise. Hermione smiled and sat in front of her. "Are you angry that you got your first period on your birthday?" Hermione asked and Y/n nodded. "Its alright...... The nature gave a birthday gift" Hermione couldn't help but chuckle in the end. Her laugh made Y/n's disappointment fly away. she smiled as well.
This happened in the real world as well. Y/n had gotten her first period on the night of her 13th birthday. She was hoping that it won't happen again since she's in different universe, yet it did. When she tod Jake, he was so shocked that Julyn, Fred & George had to drag him to the Great Hall for breakfast because he wouldn't even move an inch.
After the last breakfast, many of Y/n's friends wished her 'happy birthday'. Even though she was polite she was little upset that no one gave her gifts. Maybe it was because of hormones but yes, she was upset.
'really?? I get even a little bit injury, people visit me with so many stuff in their hand and yet they didn't even give me anything on my freaking birthday. Not even my so-called-best friends. I'm literally tired from saying 'don't worry about the gift, its fine' but its not!!! Birthdays come once a year and yet I don't get even a candy?? I know I shouldn't sound like a spoilt kid but it doesn't seem fair!!!' Y/n thought as she got on the platform with Haru in the cage and Ren flying next to her.
She was about to get on the train while someone stopped her. It was Oliver Wood. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Wood asked nervously. Y/n looked at her friends who seemed as confused as her. "sure" she replied and let Wood lead the way. He brought her a little away from the train. he knew that Y/n's friends were definitely watching them from the window, he didn't mind them watching but he didn't want them to hear.
"Is something wrong?" Y/n asked because Wood was looking a little nervous. "Not really.. I... wanted to return this to you" Wood said passing the Nimbus 2000 that Y/n had given him during her first year. "I remember quite well that I gifted this to you" Y/n said not taking the broomstick. "But.. I'm not in Hogwarts anymore.... I don't think I need it" Wood said not withdrawing the broomstick.
"so what?? I'll be honest here.... You're the only person that I've met who is so passionate about Quidditch.... and there are many people who agree with me.. I admire that about you... and that's one of the reason I decided to give you the Broom instead of giving it to someone else... " Y/n said with a warm smile. "B-But"
"No 'Buts', Oliver:" Y/n said sheepishly. Wood felt something inside him flutter. This was the first time Y/n called him by his name. He knew he shouldn't feel like this yet he couldn't help but blush. Y/n noticed it and chuckled. "See??? that is the reason I don't call people by their first name easily". Wood chuckled shyly and muttered "Don't be like that.... I'm trying to keep it to myself and be silent about it"
Y/n didn't hear what he said so she asked "What did you say?? could you repeat?". Wood went even more red when he realized the girl had almost heard him. He covered his face with his palms. Inside the train, Ron, Harry and Hermione were watching them from the window. "Its already bad enough we can't hear them and now Wood is even hiding his face... how are we going to know what they are talking about?" Ron asked with a huff. Feeling something unpleasant with watching Y/n with Wood, Harry asked "Why is he covering his face like that?".
"Its obvious ...just how much of an idiot are you?" Someone said from behind him. Harry yelped and saw that Julyn was right behind him with her brother and Jake. They too were watching Y/n. "W-what do you mean?" Harry asked Julyn. The older girl stared at him with a face that said 'really?' and then told him "If you're observant enough... you can tell... right Hermione?" Julyn asked
"yes.... but forgive them... they're not really like that" Hermione said with a small smile. "Could you just tell us?" Ron asked feeling a little offended. "Look, I'll teach you kiddo." Julyn said grabbing Harry's and Ron's head and making them directly look at Wood and Y/n. Christopher felt a little uneasy but didn't say anything because he missed Julyn and her actions. "Look at Y/n first. she has her hands behind her back and she's looking at Oliver Wood with curiousness in her face... Its explains that she wants to know something that Wood has to say or she wants Wood to say something"
Julyn continued "now, Look at Wood. He's covering his face which we can obviously tell that he's doing it to hide the fact that he is flustered. His face and ears are red. He is blushing.... and the way he currently is reacting directly states that-". Jake cut her off while grunting "He's about to confess".
Harry felt something drop inside of him. He looked at Y/n who was smiling at Wood while the older boy stuttered painfully. Outside the train, Y/n waited Wood to say whatever he wanted to say but he couldn't say it out. Y/n signed and grabbed the boy by his shoulder and said "Oliver... relax..... I won't do anything to you..".
This small act made Wood turn into a deeper shade of red. Inside the train, Harry felt the uneasiness leveling up. "take a deep breath and tell me whatever you have to say" Y/n smiled at Wood. He did so and finally told her "Before starting, I want you to know that I don't want any answer and I just want you to know... nothing more and nothing less" Wood said trying his best not to faint.
"alright" Y/n said with a short nod. "Since the day you joined the Quidditch team, I've always tried my best to take care of you as a leader and you are a very good player and I appreciate the fact you came into the team like everyday but... from the beginning of this year.. I felt.. something different"
Y/n's ears perked up like a dog after hearing that but she didn't interrupt. "I have been.. finding you very attractive ever since I saw at the Ice cream parlour before the first term started. But I knew that I shouldn't be feeling something like this towards you... You're so younger than me but I couldn't help it, So, I'm sorry for that but.... I really fancy you, Y/n" Wood said with a blush.
Y/n didn't dare utter a word and kept staring at the boy while a little tingling session in her stomach. "And I told you already that I don't want any answer because I just wanted you to know that... I was actually planning to not even tell you and leave but those feelings stormed up when you said my name..... And I want to thank you for making me feel those pure feelings that's why-" Wood said and pulled something out from his pocket.
It was the Quidditch Cup they won this year but, it was a miniature version of it. Wood must have used a spell to do this. "but Wood.... The Cup stays at the Gryffindor Common room and the first copy of it is supposed to be with the captain of the team... The Original cup is in the common room so that means this is the that you deserve to have... I-I cannot take it" Y/n said.
"don't worry... I made two copies instead of one.... there's already one for me... but.. I wanted you to have one as well" Wood said while still being red and extended the miniature trophy towards Y/n.
This time, Y/n couldn't help but blush. Oliver was 100% genuine right now and he didn't want anything in return from her. But, The boy in front of her deserved a reaction for the adorable thing he's being right now. Without a second thought, Y/n leaped and threw her arms around Wood. She hugged his neck tightly while repeating 'Thank you so much' or 'you're the best'.
Inside the train, Hermione, Julyn and Ron gaped at the scene. Jake and Christopher were not sure how should they react. But Harry felt his heart drop and it seemed to drop deeper when he saw that Wood hugged Y/n back as well. He secretly clutched his outer robe.
Y/n felt Wood squeeze her a little and felt a few tear drops on her shoulder. She hugged the boy little tighter. she never once guessed that something like this would happen. But She felt happy. Wood was one of her favourite characters and that the fact he liked her was making her jump from joy inside.
After few seconds, Wood let her go with a small almost unhearable sniff. Y/n smiled at him "The broomstick is your, Oliver... take care of it for me". "I'll cherish this my whole life." Wood chuckled and Y/n did as well. "Happy Birthday, Y/n" Wood said passing the miniature trophy towards her. "Thank you very much, Oliver" Y/n smiled and got into the train.
Hermione, Julyn and Ron stared at her with a smirk. She smiled and without a word sat. Jake didn't say anything. Chris laughed a little whenever someone teased Y/n. But Harry was quiet, he faked laugh but didn't feel good.
Y/n's mood seemed to be good after that. when the train started, Jake, Julyn and Christopher left their compartment and when the candy lady came with chocolates. Harry finally let the topic go and enjoyed his time with his loved ones. Ron was way more happier than him since Sirius gave him a small owl. Since the Quidditch World cup was in few months they decided to go there together.
They arrived at Platform 9 3/4 and went to their families. This time, Debbie and Dabon didn't come with Eric because of the Dragons back at Kim Mansion. Eric was proud for both of his kids. He even gave Y/n flowers, her second birthday gift. She seemed cheerful after that to all the way back to home.
They used the main gate very less. Eric found apparating way more convenient and made the kids do so as well. Only Jake and Y/n were the underage kids who were allowed to apparate, thanks to Eric's image in Ministry of Magic. As they got inside the Mansion from the gate, Y/n saw that the name 'Kim' was engraved in the gate with gold colored steel.
The mansion was extravaganza in some another level. Sometimes even Y/n forgot how rich the Kims actually were. They entered the Mansion while dragging their trunk. Eric held both of the kids' owl's cages. As they entered the living room, they heard something rushing over.
Y/n instantly knew what was coming. She placed her trunk on the ground and got ready. The noise got closer and Toothless jumped on her. Licking her face excitedly. Y/n laughed while repeating 'no more licking' again and again but Toothless didn't listen to her. Ren was flying near Eric and got very jealous looking at Toothless and Y/n.
Toothless hugged Y/n while laying her on top of him. He really missed her. Y/n scratched him all over. Pearl also came and greeted Jake. As soon as Toothless let Y/n sit properly, Ren flew towards her and sat on her lap. Toothless was shook at the new presence and growled at the small creature. He didn't want to share Y/n with anyone. But Y/n stopped him and also made Ren come out from her lap. "I know that you two don't want to share me with each other but you two have to be friends... I'm not allowed to bring either of you to Hogwarts and that's way you two have to stay here at home.... and if you two don't get along with each other.... I would never meet the both of you again" Y/n told them sternly.
Jake, Eric, Pearl and now arrived Debbie and Dabon stared at her with slight shock. Toothless and Ren looked at her with disbelief then were confirmed that Y/n wasn't joking. Ren let out a small noise and sat on top of Toothless' head and rubbed himself on it. Toothless felt very uncomfortable and looked at Y/n for help. "he's trying to be friends with you" Y/n whispered to him. Toothless used his tail and carefully brought Ren in front of him.
Now that he looked at him, the small creature looked a little cute. He smelled him from a distance and let him go. Y/n smiled at both of them "Good boys". She extended her arms in a direction and said "aren't you two going to hug me as well?". Debbie and Dabon smiled brightly and ran towards her. Their ear flapping. They hugged her while repeating 'Happy Birthday'.
She thanked and went to her room to get fresh. She didn't notice that behind her back her family members were talking to eachother without making any noise. Y/n came inside her room and signed. She first opened the trunk and placed everything back to the original place. She smiled while holding the Miniature Quidditch Cup. She placed it on her night stand and went to get fresh.
After that, she went downstairs. But to her surprise, it was different.
Balloons, Flowers and a bunch of gifts were all over the living room. "surprise!!!!" Her family cheered. Y/n walked down the stairs with a huge smile, she was disbelieved. 'so this was the plan'. Y/n thought as she got down.
It was a surprise. No one gave her anything during the day because they had sent the gift to her home. She felt happy. Everyday in this universe felt ever better day by day.
After the celebration, unboxing the gifts to find her favorite things inside and having dinner. Everyone were in their respective bedrooms preparing to sleep. But Y/n wasn't inside her bedroom.
She was outside on the rooftop watching the moon. She heard someone come in as well, she turned to find Jake. "How did you know I was here?" Y/n asked Jake sat beside her. "Doesn't matter... What are you doing here?" Jake asked. Y/n was about to reply 'nothing' but Jake cut her off. "I know that you come up here when you're feeling down... you seemed happy before... so what's in your mind?"
Y/n signed told him about how she regretted coming in this world. How she hesitated doing the right thing. Jake listened to her and felt the burden his sister was carrying. When Y/n finished it felt like she was trying to hold back tears. Jake extended his arms and gave his sister a side hug. "Look... I want you to know... its normal to feel like this..... Anyone can feel it... and its even more better to share it... so, whenever you feel like this... always tell me, okay?" Jake asked and Y/n nodded resting her head on Jake's shoulder.
"And, You told me that you felt weak like you weren't strong enough because you didn't know much spell or had knowledge to guess what should you do in a matter.. you should know ...Being powerful makes you strong...but having a pure heart and soul makes you undefeatable..... and that's what you already have.... so don't worry in the future okay" Jake said a comforting smile making Y/n lean into him more.
"You two really like to do things dangerously instead of playing safe, don't you?" They heard someone from behind. They turn to find Eric coming towards them while maintaining his balance like he wasn't on the top of a mansion. "how did you know we were here?" Jake asked.
"Are you seriously asking me that?" Eric scoffed while sitting next to Y/n. "You two literally are on top of my bedroom how could I not know?". Y/n chuckled "I'm sorry... I didn't know that..". Eric said patting her head "no, its better this way... at least I know what you two are up to.. and Jake's right.... everything he is said correct... so, don't ever feel weak in the future... You have us beside you... okay?"
Y/n nodded with a smile shifting towards Eric, hugging him now. Jake too hugged his family.
Y/n knew that no matter what happens... she will always have these two men beside her.
The next day, The Kims were having breakfast. Eric had a day-off and wanted to relax with his kids. But felt a little disappointed when he got a letter. He knew that he has to go on a mission if he gets a letter like this. he opened the letter and begun reading it.
He read a few lines while drinking coffee and immediately spit the coffee all over Jake who was sitting in front of him. "UNCLE!!!" Jake yelled while wiping his face. "W-what's wrong?" Y/n asked nervously "Who's the letter from?"
"Um...." Eric wiped his mouth and said "South Korea"
Jake and Y/n shared a looked and then turned to Eric so he could explain more. "You two know that.. Your mother, Irene was a muggleborn, right?"
"yes" the kids immediately replied
"and that she was the only person in the Bae Family to be a wizarding person, right?"
"Yes"
"Well... its turns out...... she had a cousin.... whose son... was accepted into a Wizarding School as well... and he's coming here"
"huh?" Jake said
"Uncle, you got to be clear, I can't really understand what you said" Y/n said putting down the spatula.
"You two have a cousin who, from now on is going to live with us" Eric told them
"WHAT????!!!!!!" Jake and Y/n yelled.
