3rd Person's POV
Harry woke up at strange place. He sat up to find him in unfamiliar room. The memories that happened last night ran through his mind.
He made his Aunt blow up in a balloon. Luckily he wasn't expelled from his school for that. He got up from the bed and looked outside the window. A train was passing by really closely.
Harry walked towards bathroom and after he was done, he went back to his room and sat on the bed not knowing what he should do.
Ron said he'll be at Leaky Cauldron by the afternoon. Soon followed by Hermione who said she'll be there the same time as Ron. Harry didn't know about Y/n. He didn't hear from her since after she sent him his birthday gift. He didn't even knew if he'll see her today.
Last year, when both of them were accused of petrifying the Muggleborn Hogwarts's students whilst the attacker turned out to be Lord Voldemort using Ron's younger sister Ginny as a puppet. But Thankfully Harry, Ron, Y/n and Hermione solved the problem. But Because of that, Harry felt that Y/n was his closest friend who could understand him very well. Even thinking about Y/n, Ron and Hermione made Harry feel happy.
After an hour, suffering from Boredom, Harry gave up and looked at his books he's going to learn this year. On the table, he saw a very odd book which looked liked it had skin and was making noise. He read the title that said. 'The Monster Book of Monsters'Â . Harry opened the belt which held the book close which revealed 4 small yellow eyes. Harry grabbed the book in his hands and was about to open it but stopped when he saw that the book had teeth.
Like an angry animal, the book started to move vigorously trying to bite Harry. He dropped the book on the floor trying to save himself and stepped back from it. But it followed him. Harry climb on the bed as the book went under it. Harry bent down the bed to see the book. From Harry's point of view. The book looked liked it had 4 eyes and on big mouth with both fingers and toes on the edges. The book stared back at Harry but suddenly ran forward to him. Harry dragged himself up. The book looked left and right, as it could not see Harry or any prey, it went back.
Harry got an idea that could work. He pulled out his shoe and held it by the lace. The bed as well as the room was shaking because of the train. Harry grabbed one of the foot poster from the four poster bed for support. He dropped the shoe, the book swung out the same second. Harry jumped on the book, knocking it out.
Harry quickly took the book and covered it with the belt. He look out the window and decided he should get out of this room now. He grabbed his jacket and walked out. As he closed the door, he saw a rat running for his life as a orange cat was running behind him. Harry walked downstairs and smiled when he heard very familiar voices.
"I'm warning you Hermione... keep that bloody beast of yours away from Scabbers, or I'll turn it into a tea cozy!!"
"Its a cat, Ronald. What do you expect?? Its in his nature!!!"
Harry continued to walk downstairs watching his bestfriends arguing. He stopped and leaned on the stair.
"A Cat?? Is that what they told you??? Looks more like a pig with hair, that cat of yours!!" Ron said angrily
"That's rich coming from the owner of that smelly old shoe brush. Its alright, Crookshanks. Just ignore the mean little boy" Hermione said comforting her cat. Just then Ron noticed Harry watching them.
"Harry!!" Ron said happily and Hermione turned to look at Harry as well.
"Harry" She said smiling.
Three of them talked about alot of things. Ron talked about how good Egypt was. His Father, Arthur Weasley had won The Annual Daily Prophet Grand Prize, which he decided to spend in the visit to his Oldest Son Bill Weasley in Egypt with his family. Hermione talked about how she wanted an owl and actually went to the shop for it but ended up buying the cat she found adorable.
Harry told them about the incident last night. Ron laughed but Hermione was concerned. None of the two mentioned Y/n, so impatiently, Harry decided to ask.
"Has anyone Heard from Y/n??" Harry asked looking at both of his friends.
"Yeah, She went to a Summer Ball with her Uncle. somewhere near France." Hermione told them. The boys looked at her confusedly.
"What? Jake told me" Hermione replied patting her cat.
"Jake is here?" Harry asked
"Yes I am" They heard Jake's voice. They turned to see that he was walking downstairs.
"When is Y/n coming back?" Ron asked as Jake reached their table
"In a hour or two. Uncle sent me letter this morning saying that the host of the ball said that Uncle and Y/n should stay for the night. The place is quite far, so they might be on the way back here." Jake told the friends of her sister. He sat down next to Ron.
"Why didn't you go too?" Hermione asked
"Uncle didn't take me with him... He said Y/n will be the better partner for the occasion. And Yes, Hermione, I want to ask you something" Jake said
"what?" Hermione said chuckling nervously
"Was your list of the things you need this year.. is long too???" Jake asked raising his eye brow
Hermione's cheek turned pink "Um.. Yes.. As a girl its normal" Hermione said
"Was Y/n's list long?" Harry whispered
"Oh. It took me 4 hours to complete her list before starting mine" Jake whispered back to the boys who chuckled.
"So, How was Egypt?" Jake asked Ron, sipping his lemon tea. Since he saw the daily prophet page with the pictures of The Weasley family, lying at the table.
"Brilliant!! Loads of old stuff like mummies, tombs, even Scabbers enjoyed himself" Ron replied happily
"You heard, Egyptians used to worship cats" Hermione said
"Along with Dung Beetles" Ron replied
"Not flashing that clipping again, are you Ron?" Fred asked. Jake smiled at his bestfriends and Fred grabbed the newspaper.
"I haven't shown anyone" Ron said trying to get away
"No, Not a soul" George said
"Not unless you count Tom" Fred started listing
"The day maid" George continued
"Night maid"
"Cook"
"The Bloke who fixed the toilet"
"And our dear friend Jake" The twins said together.
Harry saw Mrs. Weasley coming so he greeted her as well as Mr. Weasley. Who somehow ended up telling Harry that the Prisoner who escaped Azkaban is actually after him. Harry wanted to tell his friends but waited until Y/n comes. So he could tell all of them together.
After an hour. Everyone was preparing for lunch. Most of them had already did their shopping and were waiting for the lunch to get ready. Ron was showing his friends the brand new wand he brought, since he broke his wand last year and got a new one again.
Just then, Two people entered The Leaky Cauldron.
"Oh, They haven't started the lunch yet, I'm glad we're lucky" They heard a man's voice which felt familiar. Jake signed smiling knowing exactly who it was.
"We would be more lucky if you didn't decide to stop at Coat Boutique" A female voice came making Harry, Ron and Hermione's ears perked up.
"Oh come on honey, You know how much I love coats" Eric walked in the room looking behind. Every women in the room turned to glance at him at least once.
"I would be more confirmed for it if you had let me buy at least one of them" Y/n said walking into the room behind Eric. Harry stared at her. He would've lied if he said that Y/n wasn't looking Gorgeous. Hermione stood up from her seat watching her best friend.
"It was a Men's store" Eric said looking at Y/n with a obvious face.
"The coat I liked was androgynous!" Y/n replied with a rarely visible pout
"It was What now?" Eric asked confusedly
"Find the meaning yourself!!" Y/n said and turned to find her friends. When Y/n spotted them, she flashed them a big smile and ran towards them. She hugged Hermione.
"Oh, I missed you Hermione!" Y/n said hugging Hermione who tightly hugged back
"I missed you too!!" Hermione said letting Y/n go
"Hey, Ron, Harry." Y/n smiled at each of them. They grinned and greeted back.
"You had to tell me that you were looking fabulous!!" Hermione said as she sat down
"Well, If I knew I would have" Y/n said staying at her place.
"Come on, Sit Down!!" Ron said smiling
"Oh, I'll first go and change this dress.. it feels little heavy now" Y/n said fixing her dress from behind. "You bought an extra dress for me right??" Y/n asked Jake who nodded
"Yeah, Its in your room along with your school things" Jake told her
"Thank You!!! Here" Y/n said throwing something at Jake, who caught it nicely. He's a Chaser after all
"Milkybar!!! Thank you, Y/n" Jake said happily as he opened the bag full of the chocolate.
"Milkybar? What's that?" Ron asked
"Its Muggle Candy bar.. How do you two know??" Hermione asked the siblings
"I used to eat that a lot in Japan. So, when I bought it from a Muggle Convenient Store. Jake tried it and loved it" Y/n replied to Hermione, who was smiling because Y/n liked the same thing as her.
"There's more in there, so please share it everyone" Y/n said to Jake
"I have to?? okay, here" Jake replied putting the bag on the table with hint of disappointment in his voice.
"Ms.Kim, Let me take you to your room" A waiter called for Y/n
"I'll go get changed real quick" Y/n said and started following the waiter.
"The Ball must be extravaganza, judging by her outfit" Harry said after Y/n left
"Yeah, it must be fun" Ron replied
When Y/n reached her room, she plopped herself on the bed. She felt tired. But she was happy since she finally met her best friends. She looked at the side to find a mannequin with a deep blue dress.
Y/n signed when she saw the dress and stared at it for few seconds.
"I told him to bring something comfortable" Y/n said smiling.
After an hour, The lunch was served and everyone downstairs started to eat. Just then Eric and Y/n came running downstairs. Both of their hair were wet telling that the rushed here without drying their hair after shower. Y/n sat between Hermione and Jake while Eric sat with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.
"Sorry for being late" Y/n apologized as she stared taking food in her plate.
"No need for that dear, we just started" Mrs. Weasley replied motherly telling the girl its okay.
Ron started telling Y/n how his trip in Egypt was and Y/n eagerly listened to his stories. After the lunch the elders went on a different table to talk leaving the kids alone. And somehow, The conversation ended up on Percy telling Y/n and Jake, about how he became the Headboy.
"So, When I received the letter, I was not surprised to find out that I was the Headboy now.. See the badge is pretty shiny" Percy told the siblings
"That's because you spent 3 hours to make it shine" Fred said beside him
"And I know you'll that process again before sleeping" George continued
"Shut up, you Percy snapped at them. And luckily because of the twins, Y/n and her friends could talk peacefully.
"So, How was the Summer Ball??" Hermione asked excitedly
"It was---" Y/n was about say that it was awesome, She had fun there because of Draco Malfoy. But she stopped when she remembered what happened on the way back.
Flash back 3 hours earlier
"So, you had fun, huh?" Eric asked as the left the Burton Mansion in the carriage
"Yeah!! I had such great time" Y/n replied happily
"Because of Malfoy's son?" Eric asked and Y/n looked at him confusedly
"Is there something... wrong about it?" Y/n asked and Eric signed
"Look, I don't know if its forced or not, but Lucius supports Voldemort and I know it.. but I'm afraid he'll do something that might hurt you.. and he might tell his son to do it" Eric said
"No, it won't happen!! Draco Malfoy is nice person who just acts rude to get his father's approval!" Y/n snapped
"But judging by the situation, I think you found that out after some time.. didn't you?" Eric asked
It was true that, Y/n had found out the Draco was actually a good person in the 6th Movie and in the sixth book when she started reading the books.
"that's.. true" Y/n said in a small voice
"Then, don't you think that you need sort out the people who should be by your side and who should not?" Eric asked and Y/n kept quiet.
"Listen, Honey. I know that you know what everyone is going through now but I want you to think about who is more important to you" Eric said and he took Y/n's hand in his
"But, don't think as the girl who read or watched about our world.... Think about it as the girl who lives in it" Eric said and Y/n looked up at him
"Who is more important to you?? Draco Malfoy.. or Harry Potter ???" Eric asked
Flash back end
"It was..." Y/n stopped and looked at Harry. "Okay-ish"
"huh?? It was not good?" Ron asked
"It was , but.. I was kinda alone since Uncle was busy with others" Y/n replied smiling "But the food was great.. totally worth going"
After that, Hermione and Ron started to argue about their pets.
"Oh please, Ron!! Its normal for a cat wanting to chase a rat.. what do you think, Y/n?? Its normal right?" Hermione asked
Y/n looked at the old rat and thought for a second and said
"Yes, It is normal... He's a cat after all... well, its even normal if he eats him. not leaving a single bone or even tail" Y/n said glaring the rat. She realized what she said so she looked up to find Ron staring at her in disbelief and Harry, Hermione looked at her with an amused face.
"what? I'm just joking" Y/n told Ron.
Just then, Haru , Y/n's pet owl flew towards her with a letter in his claws.
"Haru?? letter? who sent it?" Y/n talked to herself and took the letter from her bird, not noticing some other people present there got the same letter. She opened it and started reading
'Dear Y/n,
I know its too soon, since the school didn't even start yet. But I wanted to tell you that the sooner we know the better we become.
This year, We have to win the Quidditch Cup. We were really close last year but because of that damned Heir of Slytherin, we couldn't even play.
But, Now we will. Meet me at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour at 4:00.
And bring the others with you, if you are with them.
Oliver Wood.'
"Uh.... Hey guys--" Y/n called
"I think Wood wants to have a Team Meeting" Y/n, Harry, Jake, Fred and George said together right after they completed reading their letter.
The 80% of the Gryffindor Quidditch team was on their way to the Ice Cream Parlour. None of the boys wanted to come but Y/n dragged them with her.
"Is is necessary to go?" Fred asked
"I don't feel like it is" George replied
"Yes it is! He's the team captain, we need to listen what he has to say." Y/n said sternly walking ahead of everyone
"But it still feels like its not important" Jake said walking behind her.
"Well, It is important to Wood and as his team mates we should be there with him. Think about it, He always wanted to win Quidditch Cup." Y/n told him
"That is correct. I don't know why he's so.. obsessed with that" Harry said
"Well, Its understandable, He loves Quidditch and wants to earn something for it. I mean trying is alright but if you achieve something, it stays with you for the rest of your life" Y/n said
"That is.. very wise" Fred said being impressed by the words
"Good words, Y/n" George complimented Y/n who smiled brightly at him.
"I still don't understand" Jake said in a low voice as he started walking side by side with Y/n.
"Don't understand what?" Y/n asked in same low tone.
"You've became too smart somehow. When the first time you came to Kim Mansion... you seemed.. dumb" Jake whispered
"Well, Try changing your universe before asking me that question!! Of course, I acted dumb. I wasn't well both physically and mentally. It was pretty shaken up experience" Y/n whispered and shuddered at the end.
"That explains alot" Jake chuckled and they reached the Parlour
"Here!!! You guys, I'm here" They heard Wood's voice coming from a table near the counter. They walked towards him.
"Hello, Wood" Y/n greeted smiling
"Hello, to you too. Y/n" Wood smiled back. "Sit down everybody. Angelina will be here soon. Order you treats until then"
Y/n sat between Harry and Jake while Fred and George sat across Harry and Y/n, With a seat next to them empty. Wood sat on the Host seat. And a waitress approached their table. They ordered the Ice creams they wanted and just then Angelina Johnson entered the Parlour. She came towards her fellow team mates when she spotted them. When she was done ordering, everyone stared at Wood.
"What?" Wood asked
"Aren't you going to start??? All of us are here" Jake said
"Oh, After the Ice cream comes" Wood told them.
The Ice Cream came. They begun to eat, talking about their Holidays once more. Y/n had ordered a Chocolate Pie flavor because there wasn't a single ice cream she knew. But luckily Y/n's choice turned out great, the ice cream was delicious.
Halfway completing ice cream, Wood didn't mention anything about Quidditch. Everyone except him, were looking at each other talking by signs. Before they knew, their ice creams finished. They stared at Wood once more.
"Okay. I just wanted to treat you guys before the school starts" Wood told them. The rest of the team smiled brightly "Because I'm going to make all of you practice until we win the cup" Wood said and everyone's smiled dropped.
"We will practice EVERY Saturday and Sunday all day. And if we have any match we'll practice twice harder." Wood said sternly.
"I talked to Professor McGonagall. No one will join the Quidditch team or NO ONE will LEAVE the team. We are best team Gryffindor could have and We will prove that." Wood stood up from his seat.
"So, be prepared. I paid for your treats, so you don't have to worry for it and Y/n, I must thank you for bringing the boys with you. And My parents are waiting for me, so I'll leave first. See you all at school." Wood smiled and left the team, who were in dead silence.
"Not in the billion guess I thought He'll do that" Y/n muttered breaking the silence.
"Its his last year at Hogwarts. He must really want to win" Angelina said and everyone agreed.
"Well, He is proud of us.. He always says we are the best team." Jake said
"Hate to agree" Fred said
"But Wood's right" George completed
"If he thinks, then we must be good players" Harry said and everyone on the table grinned, thinking about the same thing.
"Let's fulfill Wood's dream" Y/n said excitedly
