Chapter 2 - Where am I?

Y/n's P.O.V

THUD

I fell on the wooden floor.. I winced in pain "ouch"  wait.. 'why do I sound weird. No don't think of that'. I shook my head and looked around. I was in an office with goldenish bricks and  a lot of frames ....and they moving??

(*ignore Dumbledor's statue)

'wait'. I immediately got up and felt short but ignored it and I started to look around to confirm my doubt..'is this??'  I heard a musical chirp. I turned back and saw a big red bird.

"Fawkes??"

he chirped happily...."no way"  i muttered.  I heard the door open and I quickly hid behind the bird's table.

"There is no need to hide little lady"  I heard an old man say......'of course.. he knows everything'. I hesitantly got up and saw an old man in red robes closing the door..he turned and I met pair of blue eyes in half crescent moon glasses. "Who are you and how did you get in here dear??"  He asked me calmly. "I...um....uh...."  I stammered... 'would he believe me??'.

"Yes?? You can tell me"  he said with a small smile. 'Its now or never'. I cleared my throat "I am Y/n Knight... professor...and i am not from this world?". "Not from 'this' world?". " yeah....I think I somehow came here in this parallel universe different from mine". He chuckled "then we might to sit down for full explanation"  he said moving towards his desk.

'He knows I didn't said everything i know'

"come sit down Ms. Knight". I went and sat in front of his desk. "Would you like some tea dear?" "No.. I'm not hungry" and we heard a growl.....from my stomach...'way to go stomach...ruin my first impression' I felt my cheeks burn when he laughed. "I think we need more than a tea"

He clap his hands and I saw sandwiches, cookies and two cups of tea in front of me... I shamefully took a sandwich took a bite. "So tell me about your universe Ms. Knight" . I swallowed and begin to speak.

"Its not much of a difference ..we live like Muggles" . I saw him raising his eyebrows. I continued "but the thing here is that..um.. I already know what is going to happen in this universe...we have a movie and book series called 'Harry Potter'  and its completed so everyone in my world knows it all"

he was quite for a while but then he spoke "so you are saying that you already know everything???"  I nodded "yes professor... everything from Tom Riddle's  history to Harry Potter's future...even professor Severus Snape's secret...and I really think I proved that I know everything" I said with a small smirk.

"Very well....but how did you get here????"  " that's the thing I don't know...It was a normal Saturday night..I was watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone and I--- wait..what year is this? How old is Harry? What year is he in? And what---"  he interrupted me "Ms. Knight calm down....Harry is still with the Dursleys and he going to be 11 soon and will begin his term in Hogwarts in few months... and it is 2001"...

"oh...it is good--wait what???? 2001??? How is that possible??"  "What's wrong?"  He asked curiously. "You see professor... in the movies and books the first year of Harry Potter in Hogwarts is supposed to be in 1991...."  he tilted his head in a understanding way "these movies Ms.Knight you mention every time... what are these??"

" oh...they are this videos recorded in camera ..they have stories and actors and actresses play the characters in the story...its like a play but just recorded.....and the Harry Potter movies I talk about are same..they are a lot of artists who played your and others character..."  'did I explained correctly???? He will understand won't he??' He nodded... I signed in relief that he understood.. "I believe I might have a idea why...but can you tell me which year did the first 'movie' came???"

"2001"  I said thinking the connections here...."I think I got it professor...its going to be same year it was actually released...but that doesn't explain about me being here.."

He signed and said "all I can say here is that.... you are here for a reason Ms.Knight.... and we might be able to find out exactly why...do you have any idea what will you do in the meantime???"  I thought hardly and only thing came into my mind was "What if I help Harry???"  He looked at me 'confusingly'. "I mean I could help him..like give him hints....I would help to ..not waste time?"  he looked at me and said "are you sure about that??"

I was not but..I still nodded.

"If you think that ..I'm fine with it but I hope you don't tell him something he doesn't need to know"  "don't worry about that professor"  "and one more thing Ms.Knight....you cannot tell anyone who you actually are and what you know...we cannot risk you to anyone with bad intentions....promise me that Ms.Knight" "I promise..I'll try to give hints the way it wouldn't look suspicious..."  he smiled...."enjoy your sandwiches..you don't want to make them soggy.."  I smiled and continued to eat.

After a while...when I assume he finished his tea he asked me "how old are you Ms.Knight?????"

"I'm....16" I replied while eating...I swallowed and asked "why professor???"

He looked at me with a small smile.."because...you look quite younger than a 16 year old" "what do you mea---" I interrupted myself and looked at my reflection from of the glass door of cabinet......wait....I got up and moved towards it to see clearly...every step my eyes widen....I looked like I was.......11 or 12!!!!!

I panicked way more than when I entered here..."Professor Dumbledor...what is wrong with me???? ? Why..why am I......younger? ???" I looked at him in a panic state. He just smiled...'why is he smiling..I know I said that I want my childhood back but I actually never wanted it to happen' "It is okay to panic Ms.Knight but I'm really sure why are you young...how old were you when Harry Potter movie came out??"

To that sentence, I begin to panic more....."I wasn't....born...professor"  he nodded his head little "then...when it completed....how old were you then??"  I gulped and thought out loud "I was born in 2005 and the movie was came in 2011 so....I was ..6?"  I muttered. "And you said you were 16...if my calculations are right...then I think...you are currently 10.."

My jaw dropped...'10??' my mind went blank. "But...why do i remember everything???I mean....my memories are same as they were before.."  I asked in low voice.. "i think.. whatever reason you are here...it wants you to remember it..". i was still stunned. He chuckled seeing my reaction and said "from your looks.. i assume that you are an.... Asian????"

i mentally shook myself and gave him a nod. he replied with a small smile. "then i might know someone who will help us here.....you go have the meal and take a little rest..you might be tired"  I gave him a little nod with smile and went back to the desk. to my surprise the sandwiches weren't soggy.

'oh yeah...magic...how can I forget about that?' i thought and started eating again. 'hope I don't get disturbed now'

Time Skip 1 hour

As I said.. there was no disturbance.. i peacefully ate sandwiches an hour ago.. Professor Dumbledor wrote someone a letter who I assumed will 'help' me now. I yawned because of the boredom. Dumbledor said I cannot go anywhere.. so I explored his office a while ago and now i'm sitting with Fawkes on one of the stairs. I gently petted his head and he made happy purring noise 'he seemed to like my company' I thought.

And then we heard a knock on the door.. I didn't bother to stand up and stayed there. I saw 2 people entering. I took clear view when they came closer.. both of them were  Asians. 1 of them was a little older 25-26 and he had deep brown hair and he was wearing a grey suit.... 'damn.... he is handsome...crap.. I should stop thinking this now'.

with a slight blush i moved my eyes to the other one.. he was very young..13-14? he had dark brown hair too. he was just wearing a blue shirt with black pants. but they both looked rich by their fashion.

They noticed me staring at them.. they both stared back at me and gave me a bow.. I bowed my head back. living in Japan thought me some Asian manners. Finally Dumbledor came and shook the older ones hand and said

" Ms.Knight-"

I stood up the second I heard my name and stood next to him. the younger one gave me a smile. I smiled back.

"Ms.Knight.. meet Mr. Eric Kim"

he said pointing his hand to older and continued "and Mr. Jake Kim" he moved his hand to younger one." gentlemen meet Ms. Y/n Knight .. the little girl I wrote you about" .

I crossed my eyebrows to that and said "about me sir?"

"Yes, about you... You will be living with The Kims  now... and you will change your last name to Kim as well" .

I got lost in confusion...'what the heck... he said i couldn't trust anybody and now he introduces me and tells me to go with them just. like. that?'

I thought but they seemed to read my thoughts. "don't worry Ms.Knight..  I trust the Kims with my whole might. they will take a really good care of you"  Dumbledor said reassuringly but i was still not convinced.

But then who i think.. 'Eric' said "he is right... Professor told us all about you.. and we really trust you.. so please don't worry because I promise that until my last breathe.. I will protect you"  he said with smile. "how did you knew I was thinking that?"  he chuckled and said "that's because you're expression is too easy to read"

he seemed genuine and Dumbledor trusted him so i just gave him a small nod saying "ok.. I'll go with you ' and his smile widen to that. "Jake.. let's take her to the Kim mansion and introduce her to 'everything' and I'll have a little chat with professor here"  he said and 'Jake' nodded and took Eric's hand and hold his other hand to me. I looked at Dumbledor and he just nodded with a smile and said "nothing will go wrong.. You can trust me" .

That's what i needed. and I said "it was nice meeting you professor.. hope we will meet again"  and held Jake's hand and Eric said "I'll be right back Professor" .

And with that i was in front of huge gate with 'Kim's' engraved in it. Jake started walking touched the gate handle and it open automatically. and then I finally heard his voice "let's go inside" I followed him

" Where is the older one??" "Uncle Eric is with Professor Dumbledor now ...you might have idea, that its regarding you" I nodded and kept following him. it was quite until i saw where we were heading to .. I literally gasped to view in front of me

"What kind of Royals live here???" i asked him with an awe face. He chuckled to my reaction. "We do".

we started climbing the stairs and he begin to say " You can enjoy the view now but later you will need to focus....there's a lot of things you need to know"  he said with a chuckle. I was not sure what he was taking about but followed him. "you said you guys trust me.. why?" "because Dumbledor does... and you know.. he is always right"  he replied and opened the door for me.. i went inside and it was just. wow.

I looked everywhere with shining eyes... Jake chuckled to that and said "I'll give you a tour later but we need to do something more important..."

"What???"

"I'll introduce you to 'The History Of The Kims' "

..well i lost interest when he said 'History'... "Is it really important?? to do it now?" "yes it is.. Uncle Eric told me to start to teach you right away"

"Start to.....teach me YOUR history?... what difference it would be to the other's family tree history"  i said slightly annoyed.

he smiled and said " those were my exact words 3 years ago but when I heard it... all i can say here is that.. it is really not so same to other's Family history"

"why do you have to tell me?? why can't the other older one?? I know it will bore you too"  "well.. its tradition to tell the young ones.. every one gets a turn to explain it to the only one who is younger that the one is telling...Uncle told me and you are younger than me.. so its leaves you to me.. I'm the incharge for your knowledge for this.. and trust me I've been waiting for this for SO long.."  he said the last part  excitedly. I couldn't help to hold smile but in the end I laughed a little and said

"well...since its your job so.. why not??"

"that's really good.. so are you ready for your next hours.......Ms. Y/n Kim???"

A/n's note

so here's another chapter...  i tried my best to make 'The history of Kims'  interesting and many doubts will clear in the next chapter but if you still have doubts, feel free to ask I'll answer you in comment section..

English is not my first language so please ignore the grammer and my mistakes
