3rd Person's POV
After the talk with Y/n, Harry felt little better. He could ignore the stares he was getting while the dinner.
The next day was not any better. There were whispers everywhere he passed. But Harry was slightly happy. Y/n kept her promise and was with him all the time. Hermione and Ron weren't leaving his side as well. He knew he was not alone.
After all the classes, They were now completing their homeworks in the library. Harry still felt the stares behind his back. He turned back to see a group of Ravenclaw's staring at him. They quickly turned back when their eyes met Harry's.
Harry looked at his friends. Ron and Hermione awkwardly smiled at him while Y/n did nothing and continued to complete her work. Harry looked at other students who were staring at him. For now, he had enough. He started packing his stuff.
"I'll see you back in the common room" Harry said to his friends.
"wait Harry.. I'll come with you" Y/n said packing her stuff as well. Harry waited for her and when she was done, they got up to go.
"See you later" Y/n muttered to Hermione and Ron who nodded at her.
They walked out the room with stares following At this point even Y/n was bothered. She signed when she came out the class and concentrated on walking but felt a tug oh her sleeve. She looked back to see Harry peeking into the same room they were in.
'wait....don't tell me' Y/n thought and looked over Harry's shoulder to find a group of Hufflepuff whispering with not-so-quite voice.
"So, anyway.. I told Justin to hide up in our dormitory.. I mean to say, if Potter's marked him down as his next victim.. its best he keeps a low profile for a while.. If The girl Kim is involved with Potter...he's safe inside only inside a room" Said Ernie, Second year Hufflepuff. Y/n's ears perked up when she heard her name
"But why would he want to attack Justin?" Asked Hannah Abbot.
'Does she believe him??? I hope she doesn't, She's a nice girl' Y/n thought nervously while hearing Eric with full attention now
"Well, Justin let it slip to Potter that he was Muggle-born" Ernie said like it was obvious
"And you definitely think Potter's the Heir of Slytherin?" Asked Abbot anxiously
"Hannah....He's a Parcelmouth...Everyone knows that's a mark of a Dark wizard..Have you heard of a decent one who could talk to snakes??..They called Slytherin himself Serpent-tongue" Ernie said with solemnly
"But what about Y/n??? There is no way she'll be involved in this...her family is always known to be nice and popular" A boy beside Ernie said
"Well...who knows?? what if she's bad??? Think about it...She's known as 'The First Female Kim', but she still was unknown to other people for years.. If we look at it, logically that's something that should be celebrated instead of hiding it.. She's definitely a strong witch that has ability to be bad..That's why they kept her hidden to make a mannered girl out of her. It did worked looking how she's always so well-mannered. She's got to be evil and The Kim powers already make her strong. You saw her yesterday, how she defeated Lockhart with a that kind of spell...It even looked hard to perform but she did it with no quarries .. She is definitely undefeatable" Ernie explained

"But How She's related to Heir of Slytherin?? Most of the Kim Family members weren't in Slytherin." asked the same boy again
"Have you ever seen Potter and her apart??? Everywhere you look.. they are together.. People around here say that both of them knew eachother even before the term started last year.. they were seen in Diagon Alley, together... Everything they do or get stuck in something and anything happens to them they've always been together. Last time when they joined The Quidditch team or went to the trap door till the end, they were together.. Its like they are inseparable." Ernie replied the boy.
Ernie's words made Harry and Y/n realized how they were standing. Y/n's both hands were on Harry's shoulders and she was leaning against his back to peek inside. Both of their eyes widen and they separated from eachother in speed of light with pink blush covering their cheeks. After some whispers they heard Ernie talk again
"As I was saying... If Potter's behind all this there's definitely no doubt he's got Y/n on his side." Ernie said
"But why would they do that??? Harry and Y/n..both of them always been so nice though" Hannah said. She wasn't ready to believe Ernie. "and after all...He is the one who made You-know-who disappear and Y/n ..she always helps anyone who's in trouble.. they can't all that bad, can they?"
"I understand Y/n, I admit she's been nice. But Potter's manipulated her in this. That's probably why you-know-who wanted to kill him in the first place..he didn't want another dark lord competing with him" Ernie was whispering more. But Harry felt a hand grabbing his.
"Let's go, Harry.. It no use listening to him" Y/n said and started walking dragging Harry along.
"Don't listen to him, Harry. Remember what Fred and George said?? If they believe that we are behind all this..we can consider them as dumb" Y/n said in slight encouraging tone. Harry just nodded.
"Harry---" Y/n stopped herself when they heard
"I want blood"
Y/n and Harry froze. Harry somehow decided to be brave and went closer to the wall.
"They all must die..kill...kill.....kill...Time to kill"
With the those words the voice faded. Harry and Y/n looked at eachother, both stunned. They continued to walk. They slowly started to walk faster as each corridor passed. They both were ready to run if they heard the voice again. With noticing they bumped into someone, both Harry and Y/n stifled their scream.
"Hello Harry, Y/n You two all right???" Hagrid asked them holding a hen.
"Hagrid!!" Y/n and Harry said together being relieved
"What are you doing here??" Harry asked gulping
"Second one killed this term..now you reckon its either a fox or blood sucking bug bear..so just being up at Dumbledor's getting permission to put a little charm around the old hen cup" Hagrid told them
"If you get the permission.. I can help you there" Y/n said trying to sound normal. But Hagrid noticed their strange behavior.
"you two sure you're all right.. both of you are awful hot and bothered...did you two do something??" Hagrid asked
"NO!!!" Y/n and Harry replied in Unison. none of them understanding the actual question.
"Its nothing, really" Harry said to Hagrid
"See Hagrid, We have alot of studies to do...we better go, you know" Y/n said trying to get away
"Oh well....I see no reason to stop you...off you go and study" Hagrid laughed and pushed their back to make them walk.
Harry and Y/n walked away. This time they were embarrassed. They were walking slight apart, not talking a word to each other.
'What was I thinking??!!! I know I'm mentally 17 but Harry's still 12..this is wrong!!! Damn you Ernie!! My mind's broken because of you!!' Y/n thought walking little behind Harry.
'Why was Ernie saying all that?? Are we really inseparable??? But this kind of makes me happy..does she feel that way too??' Harry thought. He was about to looked at her until he saw. water all around the ground. He looked up to see Sir. Nicholas.
He wasn't moving. His grayish body was still. Harry and Y/n walked a little away from him and saw Justin. Lying on the ground.
'I know I can't do anything to stop these attacks but this hurts!!!!' Y/n thought frustratingly. She looked at Harry who was about to touch Justin's hands
"Don't touch him, Harry...He's petrified" Y/n warned Harry but then they heard
"Caught in the act"
They turned to see Filch grinning evilly at them "I'll have you two out this time..Mark my words" Filch said to them and walked away.
"No!! Mr. Filch! You don't understand----- Y/n let's get out of here!!" Harry said suggesting
"No Harry, It won't change anything..He saw us...Running away will create more suspicion" Y/n said leaning against the wall. Harry noticed the spiders running near Justin. He followed their path and saw they were getting out of the castle. Y/n was about to go to him but stopped when they heard footsteps. They turned to see Filch with Professor McGonagall. She gasped when she saw both of the petrified bodies. She looked at both of the Gryffindors with scared expression.
"Professor..I swear, we didn't---" Harry got cut off by McGonagall
"This is out of my hands, Potter." She told him
"Do really believe we did this??" Y/n asked her nervously. Her face was desperate to listen 'no' from her House head. McGonagall felt her chest throb when her eyes met Y/n's. Even Filch felt a little bad but then he remembered what happened to his cat.
"Follow me.......... Both of you" This was all McGonagall said. Harry and Y/n didn't mutter a word after and just followed her. They followed her to a Eagle's statue.
"Professor Dumbledore will be waiting for you two." She told them and motioned them to go. They listened to her and stepped forward. "Sherbet Lemon" McGonagall chanted and Statue staring moving in round showing a staircase. Harry and Y/n looked at eachother and stepped on it. letting it completely roll in front of Dumbledore's office door. They walked into the room together.
When they entered, Y/n felt her worries ease. They looked at the pictures of past Headmasters. Some of them were waving at her, knowing who she really was. Y/n waved them back secretly and putted her Index finger at her lips telling them not to say anything in front of Harry.
Harry was looking around the office with Y/n following him. Y/n looked at the placed where she first dropped. She smiled when the memories flashed back.
'I was so naive back then but...look at me now' Y/n thought and saw that Harry made his way towards the Sorting Hat. She didn't followed him, she knew what they were going to talk about. But then she heard a little purring voice. She looked at Fawkes, who was looking happy to see her. She went towards him.
"Hey there...Its so nice see you again...Hope you remember me after today" Y/n patted Fawkes's head. He purred happily. Harry heard that and walked towards them. He stood next to Y/n. Fawkes purred and caressed his beak against Y/n's cheeks making her chuckle. She patted him again and whispered.
"See you soon" She walked a little away from Fawkes dragging Harry along with her. With a blink of eye. Fawkes started burning himself in fire until only his ashes were left. Harry started panicking.
"Harry? Y/n?" They heard Dumbledore
"Professor..Your bird.. There's no nothing we could do..he just caught fire" Harry said in a panicked voice and Y/n burst into laughter. Leaving Harry confused
"And about time too.. He's been looking dreadful for days, Pity you had to see him on a burning day..or perhaps... he was waiting for someone to meet him" Dumbledore looked down at Y/n. She grinned at him.
"Fawkes is a Phoenix, Harry. " Y/n told him
"They burst into flame when it is time for them to die....and then they are...reborn from the ashes." Dumbledore explained him and Showed him Fawkes re-borning again.
"He looks so cute" Y/n cooed
"He certainly does...Fascinating creatures, phoenixes. They can carry immensely heavy loads. Their tears have healing powers" Dumbledore said admiring his pet. Harry and Y/n were too but then the heard at thump at the main door.. They saw Hagrid barge in the room, hurriedly.
"Professor Dumbledore, Sir! wait! listen!" Hagrid called and kept hurrying inside the room. "Professor Dumbledore, Sir, it wasn't Harry and Y/n. I'd be prepared to swear it in front of the Ministry of Magic--" Hagrid was interrupted by Dumbledore
"Hagrid!!!!.... Relax.. I do not believe...that Harry and Y/n attack anyone" Dumbledore told Hagrid patting the kids on their back. Harry was confused and relieved at the same time. While Y/n seemed more relaxed than she was before.
"Of course you don't!!" Hagrid stopped in middle
"Oh......" Hagrid said realizing "right, well... I'll... I'll just..wait outside, then' Hagrid said walking back
"Yes..." Dumbledore said giving the permission and Harry took the chance to talk
"You don't think it was us, professor??" Harry asked him
"No, Harry...I do not think it was you two....But I must ask you.....is there something you wish to tell me?" Dumbledore asked Harry. Y/n fought back her smirk knowing very well that Dumbledore knows Harry is hiding something.
Harry thought for a second than replied "No, Sir...Nothing"
"Very well, then..off you go" Dumbledore nodded. Harry and Y/n started walking back but Dumbledore stopped them. "Not you, Ms.Kim...Harry..go on"
Harry and Y/n looked at each other. None of them knew what Dumbledore will ask Y/n.
"I'll wait for you outside" Harry told Y/n. She nodded and stayed there. After Harry left the room, Y/n turned to Dumbledore.
"Is Harry hiding something?" He asked her
"I think you already know the answer, Sir." Y/n smiled lightly
"Is that something you can tell me?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow
"Only when the right time comes, Professor.. Telling you might change the future I'm afraid" Y/n shrugged and Dumbledore walked back in his office and Y/n followed him.
"Do you know who is behind all this ruckus?" He asked Y/n. She nodded her head
"Will be able to catch them?"
"Yes"
"Will you and Harry be part of it?"
"If everything goes as I might be able to but Harry id definitely main part of it"
"Will someone be hurt?"
"They will be.. but..They'll be recovered by the end of the year..just let the happen as it does"
"Apart from Harry..Is there something you are hiding?"
"Yes"
Y/n widen her eyes when she realized what Dumbledore just did. She looked at him with slight disbelief. He looked impressed with his little plan.
"Might start telling me, Ms.Kim" He looked at Y/n. She signed and begun
"I can...hear those..who are petrified..at night while everyone is sleeping."
"Everyone of them?" Dumbledore asked surprised
"Just the ones who are petrified recently...so Yes" Y/n nodded
"Do you know why??? or Is that counted in the things you know" Dumbledore questioned
"I don't know, Sir.... This is part of the series... It is different...very different" Y/n tried to explained
"Different?" Dumbledore tilted his head
"Yes....I think.. this could be good, that I know the souls of petrified ones are okay but..I think--" Y/n stopped herself
"But what?"
"I think....this is a warning...I don't have any idea how...but it feels like it" Y/n looked down
"If as you say that everything will be fine by the end of the term..we might as well find out why you can hear those" Dumbledore suggested and Y/n nodded
"Now...You can go Ms.Kim... you don't want Harry to wait for you for long time...he might already be bored without you" Dumbledore smiled.
At first Y/n didn't understand what Dumbledore was hinting, so she just started at him. Scanning his face for answers. But then it hit her. She just bowed and left the room with red cheeks
'What is up with these people???!!!!!' Y/n thought while hurrying outside forgetting about Harry who was waiting for her.
Harry was surprised when he saw Y/n rushing down without him. He followed her in surprised and Grabbed her hand to stop her.
"Are you okay?" He asked Y/n. He could see her red face. "Are you really alright? You face is all red" Harry asked her worriedly
"Yes I am...I just got...embarrassed, when professor said that--" Y/n tried to figure out a lie.
"What did he say?" Harry asked
"He said that since I found Phoenix interesting..he suggested if there was a way where we could....make a.... new breed... with Haru" Y/n just spoke whatever came out her mouth.
'New Breed???? What in the world was that??? even I don't know what I just muttered' Y/n thought and already begun to think of an excuse
"What???? That's nonsense...How could he suggest that?" Harry asked
'He.....bought it?' Y/n raised her eyebrows
"I know right??? No one can understand him after all." Y/n shrugged and started walking without making an eye contact with Harry.
'For some reason.... I can't look at him in the eye... I need to sort out this before its too late'
After that awkward walk. Both of them went back to their dormitories. Harry was thinking for a long time but in the end he could sleep.
But that wasn't the option for Y/n. She stayed all night up because the cries wouldn't stopped. She tried everything she could to sleep but she just couldn't.
Y/n looked at Hermione for help but when she saw Hermione sleeping peacefully. She gave up and closed her eyes even if there was no sleep or calmness in them.
...
After a few days of Mid-term. Christmas holiday finally begun. This time almost everyone went home. Hermione was the Only Muggle-born who stayed at Hogwarts. When Y/n refused to go home, Jake decided he won't go as well.
As for the rumors, it became worse for Harry and Y/n. Everywhere they went, people actually stopped in their midway and ran back. This was not the case for Fred and George Weasley. They were making fun of the situtation.
While Harry, Y/n, Ron and Hermione were standing outside when everyone was leaving to go home. Fred, George and Jake followed them as well.
"Her, Look Everyone!!! It's the Heir of Slytherin and his Partner!!" Said Fred Sheepishly
"Be careful!! they're seriously evil!!" George completed for him
"Stop you two!!! Its not funny!! If this is what you're planning to do here..I'm going back!" Jake told his friends and walked back inside
"Hey Wait!!!!" The twins yelled after him and chased him.
"Oh come on, Harry... They're just doing it for a laugh" Ron told Harry who looked upset with it. Y/n was actually laughing along them.
"They are only who do" Harry looked down and played with ice with his fingertips covered in gloves.
"Okay...Half of school thinks we open the chamber of secrets every night..but end if the day...who cares?" Y/n elbowed Harry.
"Maybe they're right" Harry said and rushed inside with his friends following him.
"Harry!!" Hermione called for him but he didn't stop.
"Harry!!!" Y/n yelled and he stopped in his tracks
"look..I didn't know I could speak parcel tongue...what else i don't know about myself??" Harry said loudly
"Harry....did you forgot our promise?? If you did then I'm got to say I'm hurt..but I know what you're thinking..and I can guarantee that you are wrong...so stop doubting yourself" Y/n told Harry. He felt he was out of words
"Beside, feel better for all I know" Hermione told him
"What? Why?" Ron and Y/n asked in unison
"Guess who's staying here for holidays??" Hermione asked
"Who?" questioned all three best friends. Hermione looked at them with disbelief.
"Malfoy!!!" Hermione replied them being little annoyed
"Why would that make anyone feel better?" Ron asked with disgust
"Because, in few days. Polyjuice Potion will be ready" Hermione said
"That means...in few days.. we can know that Malfoy is hiding" Y/n said getting where Hermione was.
"Exactly..we can start our plan...really start our plan" Hermione told them
"But...How did you know about Malfoy??? You searched through Teacher's list our something or??" Y/n asked her.
"That is a secret" Hermione said that and walked into the Great Hall.
"We really are a bad influence on her" Ron said looking at Hermione making his friends chuckle.
