3rd Person's POV
The Next day, Harry and Y/n were free to go after lunch. Madam Pomfrey had given them the permission for a day-off. They went to their dormitories and changed into their robes. Then they went to the place they planned to meet. They walked passed the wall with the message written. The tried their best not to look at it again.
They stood in front of girls's bathroom with 'keep out' sign. Harry stepped forward and knocked on the door. Hermione's head peaked out. When she saw her friends she signed in relief.
"You gave us a fright!! How's your arm and leg?" She asked both of her friends while letting them in.
"Fine" Harry replied walking towards Ron.
"I thought it would take longer time but it didn't... Madam Pomfrey's magic is something else" Y/n replied with a smile. Hermione grinned back
"How was your day?? did you get the ingredients??" Harry asked them.
"Oh yeah.... Did it went good??? you guys didn't get caught, did you?" Y/n asked looking at Ron and Hermione alternatively.
Hermione and Ron looked at each other with unreadable face. Which neither Harry nor Y/n could understand.
3 Hours Earlier
Hermione and Ron were taking their Potions class. They were brewing their potions in the corner of the room, near Snape's personal collection of potion making stuff. Ron was not paying attention. He was waiting for Hermione's signal.
A Day before.
"So..How are we going to get the stuff for Polyjuice Potion???" Y/n asked eating the oranges Collin Creevey gave her.
"We know we have to steal from Snape...But How..It no easy thing to do." Ron said eating the oranges sitting beside Y/n's legs.
"Well... I think we would have to wait until we get discharge" Harry said looking at Y/n and Ron who were looking like they weren't paying attention at all. They looked too busy eating the oranges.
'I would be lying if I said those oranges don't look good' Harry thought.
"No...The soon the potion is ready..the better...We have to get them somehow" Hermione said thinking deep.
"You two can do it!!" Y/n said cheerfully looking at Ron and Hermione. They looked at her with surprise
"What are you talking about??" Hermione asked
"I don't think we could do without you" Ron chuckled and Y/n signed looking at him.
"If you think that..you won't be able to do anything......ever " Y/n said to him, giving him hint of what they talked about last year. Ron understood it right away and nodded smiling slightly.
"But...there's no way we could do it without your presence" Hermione said to her. Y/n looked at her boringly.
"Do I have to repeat myself....you two can do it...I know you can" Y/n said encouragingly.
"But why...us??" Hermione asked again
"Harry and I are noticeable in the potion classroom... Harry because Snape's grudge against him..and Me because---" Y/n was cutted off by Ron.
"For being the best student" Ron smirked
"Yeah..Exactly.... Plus Professor Snape doesn't pay much attention to Ron and..You got a clean record... If we three got caught stealing something.. we would be expelled right away..but if you do it..then you'll just get detention... They won't expel the best student of second year" Y/n explained, Hermione was trying hard not to beam by Y/n's words
"Okay....but we need a good plan" Hermione said and Y/n smirked
"I have one" Y/n said smugly
Back to Potion Class
Hermione saw Snape telling Neville what do to next. She gave Ron a nod. Ron pulled out a his twin brothers's filibuster firework and pulled open the seal. He aimed at Goyle's Cauldron and it successfully landed in it. Goyle's cauldron blasted with black smoke coming out of it. Snape made his way towards him, angrily.
Hermione took the chance and went to Snape's ingredients shelf. Snape was scolding Goyle for adding too much dried leaves in it, which he probably didn't. But he didn't dare to stop Snape for scolding him. Hermione was collecting the amount of ingredients she needed in a speed of light. After few more seconds she came back to her place without anyone knowing.
Ron smirked at her, which she replied grinning. They Hi-fied eachother behind their Cauldrons. They were trying their best control their laughter. Hermione got the ingredients she needed and Ron got to humiliate Slytherins by his own. It was a win-win situation for both of them.
Back to Girl's Bathroom
Hermione and Ron looked at eachother and smiled, then turned to their best friends
"It worked!!!" They said in Unison. Harry and Y/n gasped in happiness
"See???I told you that you could do it!!" Y/n said happily hi-fying Ron.
"But...We got loads of stuff to tell you" Harry said turning serious suddenly
"Yeah...it would take time" Y/n nodded at Harry.
Both of them told Hermione and Ron all about Dobby and Collin. they were clearly shook when they heard the news.
"again???You mean..The Chamber of Secrets has been opened before??" Hermione asked stirring the potion.
"Of course!! Don't you see??? It could be the time Lucius Malfoy was in school here... He probably would have helped the one who opened it" Ron said and Y/n chuckled beside Hermione
"Its not possible" Y/n chuckled
"Why is that???" Harry asked sitting beside her
"Uncle Eric was in same as Malfoy's father in his school times...Uncle said he had quite a peaceful time in his years here.. It was probably opened before them.." Y/n told them. Hermione looked at Y/n suspiciously. Y/n looked at her back with confusion
"What??? I asked Uncle about him... he told me" Y/n shrugged and Hermione turned back to add something dried in the cauldron.
"But...I have a feeling that Malfoy does knows something... who knows he would be helping the Heir of Slytherin" Ron said leaning against the bathroom cubicle's door behind him.
"Maybe" Said the girls..
"We'll have to wait for the Polyjuice Potion to know for sure" Hermione replied
"Enlighten me... Why are we brewing this potion in broad day light..in the middle of the girl's Lavatory....Don't you think we'll get caught?" Ron asked the girls. Hermione and Y/n at each other and smiled.
"No...No one ever comes in here.." Y/n chuckled
"Why?" Ron asked again
"Moaning Myrtle" Said Hermione and Y/n in unison.
"Who?" Ron asked in confusion ,not noticing the female ghost behind him. Harry looked at the ghost and then Y/n with wide eyes,She giggled lightly.
"Moaning Myrtle" Hermione looking behind Ron
"Who's Moaning Myrtle?" Ron asked ignoring the grey figure behind him.
"I'm Moaning Myrtle!!!" Said Myrtle offended and sniffed flying above them. The four Gryffindors watched her.
"I wouldn't expect you to know me" Said Myrtle with a sob
"If you don't want to make your ears bleed...cover them" Y/n whispered to Harry. She secretly covered her own ears with her hands. Harry wondered why.
"Who would ever talk about ugly, miserable moping Moaning Myrtle??" Myrtle broke into tears, Y/n gave Harry a sharp look which made him cover his ears. He understood why she told him to do that. Myrtle screamed so loudly that he could clearly hear her behind his hands that covered his ears. They saw Myrtle fly to one cubicle.
"She's a little sensitive" Hermione said
"Well...alot sensitive.." Y/n removed her hands from her ears, Harry did the same. "Last year, I tried to compliment her to make her happy....I don't know how it offended her....somehow" Y/n said moving towards Harry to rest her back against the wall.
"You said She looked nice just after she had finished crying" Hermione said smugly
"Hey! I didn't knew she was crying before I said that!!" Y/n huffed.
"She didn't do anything to you later??" Ron asked her with a smirk
"Oh, She made sure that I didn't get to enter the Girl's restroom for a whole month..that was my toughest month of my life" Y/n said making her friends laugh.
......
After an hour, They were done for the day. They placed the cauldron in last cubicle of the corner. Y/n peaked out the door to check if there was someone. She didn't see anyone so she came outside and opened the door for Harry and Ron to come out just then.
"Y/n!!!" She saw Percy making her way towards her. She slammed the door close at Ron's face that he was possibly hurt. She heard him whimper lightly behind the door.
"Percy!!!!" Y/n said in fake happy tone in a loud voice to let her friends her the coast isn't clear.
"There you are!!! I was finding you" Percy came and stood in front of her.
"Why???..I mean.. for what?" Y/n asked gripping the doorknob.
"There's going to be a little required teaching at Great Hall in half an hour everyone has to be at and your brother is finding you" Percy told her
"Oh...I'll be there and..I'll talk with Jake too...Thank for telling" Y/n smiled at him, politely. Her smile made Percy slightly feel that he should stay and talk to her more.
"And have you seen Ron??? I can't find him and Harry at all... its rare to see your four being apart" Percy said looking around
"Ron??He must be at...." Y/n stopped to think for a reply " Library?? HA!!!! Ron's at Library..He said he wanted to copy Hermione's homework and you know...She's always at Library" Y/n said and she heard Hermione and Ron gasp behind the door. So she quickly laughed out of no where trying to hide their voice and warning them by thumping against the door hardly.
Percy looked awkward and confused. "How come your alone then?" He asked her
'Crap!!....think for the logical answer!!!' Y/n thought
"I was.. here for.....business???" She said pointing at the bathroom.
"Oh!!!" Percy's ears turned red. "I'm sorry....That-that was...a stupid question.. I---I'll just go" Percy said walking away from her.
'He bought that??' Y/n thought
"Huh" She muttered and when Percy disappeared out of sight she opened the door. When she did, she saw Hermione and Ron glaring at her. Ron's nose was red that Y/n thought was her doing. She turned her head to Harry,who was controlling his laughter.
"You told Percy that I write my Homework by copying others....really?? Percy?" Ron gritted his teeth
"I'm always at Library???? Is that right??" Hermione glared making Y/n gulp. Harry burst into laughter.
"Come on you guys.....That the only thing that came in my mind that time" Y/n said nervously.. "And Percy believed me so that's solves the problem.....right?" Y/n muttered
"She's right" Harry who just stopped laughing said. "It was a believable excuse" Harry said and Y/n nodded at Hermione and Ron.
"fine..." Hermione and Ron said in unison
"but I'm not helping you with your homework for few days" Hermione said trying to look strict, Y/n grinned and grabbed Hermione's hand dragging her along with her.
"That's fine!!!" Y/n said cheerfully making Hermione smile.
After that they were walking towards the Great Hall. Y/n and Hermione were walking little further than Harry and Ron. Y/n turned back to see Harry and Ron to find them busy in talking and laughing about something. Y/n turned to Hermione and pulled her closer.
"Hermione..I heard Collin last night" Y/n whispered. Hermione looked at her with shock
"What was he doing?" Hermione asked whispering
"He was crying......calling out for his Mom..He was..apologizing for being weak" Y/n looked down "It was heartbreaking to hear him...I couldn't sleep all night" Y/n signed and Hermione gripped Y/n's hand tighter to comfort her.
"Don't Worry...We'll find who's behind all this and save Collin in no time" Hermione said and Y/n smiled.
"I hope that happens" Y/n smiled
Meanwhile
"So....did you know why Y/n's eyes are always tired these days...since the attack you know" Ron whispered to Harry while the girls were walking forward.
"Not really....All I could find was she doesn't sleep much...maybe it was because of the attacks that are happening ....She's was covering her ears all night....maybe she was uncomfortable..you know...to sleep in Hospital wing" Harry whispered back
"I don't think that is what it is...She had slept there before...last year after coming back from Trap Door...But What if she was uncomfortable because you were sleeping beside her bed" Ron chuckled and Harry slightly pushed Ron
"Don't say that!!!!" Harry looked over to girls.Y/n had turned her head towards them but then she started talking to Hermione
'did she hear us?' Harry panicked and remembered something
"Hey Ron.....When Dobby appeared and Y/n heard his voice she opened her curtains..and her...she was glowing" Harry whispered
"Glowing??? Are you sure your sight is good??"Ron asked
"Yes...She said it might be because of the potion she drank" Harry told Ron
"She drank bone-mending potion, it not's because of it..For what I think..it might be her natural skin" Ron wondered
"Her skin glows at night??? that's impossible" Harry said confusedly
"We won't know unless we ask her but....mate...why are you talking about her skin??" Ron asked. He saw Harry turn red
"You know.. if Y/n hears us talking about this..she'll burst into laughter" Ron chuckled
"what will make me burst into laughter??" They heard Y/n say. They looked at each other then Y/n standing in front of them with Hermione
"Nothing" They said in Unison
"If you're done talking then watch your steps...we're about to reach Great Hall" Y/n said walking away.
When they reached, they saw that all the dinning tables were pushed to the wall and a big long stage was in the middle with many of the students around it. They pushed through to crowd to find their fellow Gryffindor classmates.
"They are starting a Dueling Club!!!" Seamus told them excitedly
"What? You reckon, Slytherin's monster can duel?" Ron snorted
"Don't say that..It might be useful" Y/n chuckled with him and out of no where she screamed earning attention
"THERE YOU ARE!!!" Jake said hugging Y/n from behind, gripping the soul out of her
"Jake..you gotta stop that!!! You'll kill me one day!!" Y/n said but didn't stop Jake from hugging her. Many boys glanced over her and looked away in Jealousy, including Malfoy and Potter.
"How's your leg?" Jake said letting her go
"Great..actually....that potion helped alot" Y/n said swing her leg that was broken yesterday.
"So..what's this crowd about?" Jake asked looking around.
"They said its a Dueling Club" Said George behind him.
"We're gonna duel with a monster" Fred said sarcastically beside George. Jake looked at Y/n with surprise. Y/n smirked back
"Is that why you---?" Jake asked Y/n in whisper tone. She smirked at him.
Flashback
At Kim Mansion
"Uncle......can you teach me how to duel???" Y/n asked Eric making him spit his coffee
"Dueling????? Aren't you little....young for that?" Eric said wiping his mouth with a cloth.
"Hey!! I might look like a 11 year old but I am 17!!!! That's right Jake...I'm older than you" Y/n pointed her index finger at Jake who was eating his pancakes peacefully.
"I didn't even say anything" Jake said and continued to eat his pancake
"That could be right....but...Honey...why dueling??? I got a you Dragon so you could make the time pass...Thank you Debbie" Eric said taking the new cup of coffee Debbie gave him
"Toothless is different...I want to learn dueling...I always wanted to..even in my universe...where there's no magic" Y/n said slightly pouting to herself. Eric saw her and was having a great debate in his mind.
"You know she's black-mailing you in her own way, right?" Jake told Eric,sipping his orange juice. Y/n slightly glared at Jake
"I know" Eric nodded his head "and that's working....I'll teach you...but you could only do it when its required..okay??" Eric told her slight sternly. She nodded her head eagerly.
After the Breakfast, Y/n followed Eric to a place which looked like it was made for practicing magic...or more like a GYM.
"Why do we have this in the Mansion??" Y/n asked Eric
"For practicing to make ourselves stronge ...And I see that you have started saying 'we' instead of 'you' " Eric smirked. Y/n turned red.
"That's fine....It a great progress" Eric patted her head chuckling. "Need something, Jake?" He asked Jake who just arrived.
"Yeah....I want to learn too..." Jake said folding up his sleeves
"That's better..then I won't have to teach you two separately." Eric said giving his niece and nephew their wands.
"Aren't we like...breaking the rules??" Y/n asked realizing
"Don't worry...I'll tell them I was training you..they won't do anything else since..there's no muggle here" Eric replied and Y/n nodded her head
"Just before you know.....I'm gonna teach you Our spells....No other person except a Kim can perform them...If you master it...the other spells will be piece of cake...you two ready?" Eric asked. Y/n and Jake nodded their heads.
End of Flashback
"This...was the reason...we practised Dueling for a whole month??" Jake asked Y/n and she nodded
"Why??? If we were going to learn...why would you learn beforehand?" Jake questioned again
"Because I don't think----I know that we're not going learn anything today..Plus...Don't you think that It would be a waste if we couldn't show-off our talent once??" Y/n smirked and Jake laughed disbelieved
"You're unbelieveable!!" Jake chuckled and whispered "I don't know why..but I agree with you". Y/n grinned to this and walked towards her friends. and stood between Harry and Hermione"Hey Y/n...who do you think will teach us today?" Ron asked her
"Someone we don't like at all" Y/n said looking at the person who just walked up the stage
"Gather round!! Gather round! Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me?" Lockhart yelled
"Unfortunately yes" Y/n muttered making Harry and Ron stifle their laughs
"Excellent!!! In lights of the dark events of recent weeks...Professor Dumbledor has granted me permission to start this Dueling Club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves....as I myself have done countless occasions. For full details, see my published works" Lockhart said walking in the between
"Nice way to advertise, Professor" Y/n said out loud disturbing the whole class. Many students laughed, some glared at her. Lockhart just smiled and threw his coat to a group of girls. They slightly fought to see who gets it first. Y/n heard her male seniors laugh in disbelief. And turned to a Hufflepuff boy who just begun to speak with Harry.
"That Lockhart's something, isn't he?" Said the boy happily "Awfully brave chap" The boy said said admiring Lockhart. Harry and Y/n looked at eachother and looked back at the boy
"Justin Flinch-Fletchley..Hufflepuff" He introduced himself extending his hand forward
'So that is him,huh?' Y/n thought while shaking Justin's hand.
"Nice to meet you..I'm Ha-" Harry was about to introduced himself but Justin interrupted him.
"I know who both of you are!!" Justin said grinning at Y/n. She awkwardly smiled back. "we all do, even us muggle-borns" Justin smiled. Harry smiled back at him but Y/n didn't.
'Harry will get framed for his over-excitement' Y/n thought and turned to Lockhart.
"Let me introduce my assistant..Professor Snape" Lockhart smiling widely. Everyone saw Snape walking up the stage with a deadly look.
"how is Lockhart still smiling?" Ron whispered to his friends
"I would run if Snape was looking at me like that" Harry whispered. Y/n and Ron chuckled lightly. Hermione didn't.
"Shh..pay attention" Hermione said.
"He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration...Now, I don't any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have Potions Master when I'm through with him. Never fear" Lockhart grinned bravely.
"Wrong choice of words" Y/n heard Jake mutter behind her.
Snape and Lockhart stood in front of eachother, raised their wands in front of their face, like swords and then they moved their hands towards their side and bowed to eachother. They started walking in opposite direction to almost the end of the stage and turned back to face eachother.
Lockhart begun counting "One..Two...three"
"Expelliarmus!!!" Snape chanted and blast came from the end of his wand's tip. It made Lockhart blast off his feet and fall hard. Many students laughed.
"Do you think he's all right?" Hermione Squealed
"Who cares??" Said Ron and Y/n together watching Lockhart get back on his feet.
"An excellent idea to them that, Professor Snape but if you don't mind me saying, it was pretty obvious what you were about to do. If I wanted to stop you, it would have been only too easy... Now!!!! Since you saw that..why won't someone between you come up and demonstrate that??" Lockhart said looking at the crowd.
"What about Ms.Kim??? " Lockhart called out making Y/n flinch when she heard her name. "Why don't you come up and try??" Lockhart extended his hand so she could come up.
Y/n stood at her place, looking at Lockhart's hand. She looked at Snape then Lockhart.
'Who do I have duel against?' Y/n thought worriedly
"Come up Ms.Kim... I'll guide you" Said Snape. He seemed to understand what Y/n was thinking.
"That's fantastic!! I'll duel against you!" Lockhart grinned and Y/n grabbed his hand. He helped her get up the stage. She walked towards Snape and looked at him nervously. He bent down to be on Y/n's eye level.
"Don't be nervous, Ms.Kim You're way more better than that " Snape glanced at Lockhart in the end. "I believe you do know some spells if you agreed to come up?" Snape asked and Y/n nodded. "Then use them...and Make him payback for the front page and your leg" Snape smirked slightly. Y/n nodded at him and turned to walk towards Lockhart pulling out her wand.
'He's right..you practised enough for this..you can't step back...Make Uncle Eric proud' Y/n thought while walking towards the middle of the stage. She looked at her friends, they were smiling at her encouragingly. Y/n looked behind them to see Jake mouth 'You can do it'.
Y/n and Lockhart stood in front of each other. Y/n was looking really tiny in front of Lockhart's tall body. But Y/n was looking far more confident and braver than Lockhart was. They raised their wands at their eye-level just like before. They bowed and walked in opposite direction. Snape nodded at Y/n.
She turned to face Lockhart. She aimed the tip of her wand at Lockhart. He begun counting.
"One...two ..three" He didn't do anything and waited for Y/n to do first.
'Wrong choice, Professor' Y/n thought ans loudly chanted
"Wayuvigor !!!!!!" A visible light-blue air came from the end of her wand. It swirled in speed of light and pushed Lockhart off the stage. Many students gasped at how fast it happened, Some of them laughed and clapped for Y/n. while some just started at her in surprise.
'That's for my leg' Y/n smiled at turned to look at Snape. He had a satisfied smile. Y/n turned to look at Lockhart walking towards her. He looked hurt.
"I'm sorry, professor" Y/n bowed to him Politely.
"No worry Ms.Kim!!!!... I knew that you would be good at this..That's why I gave you the chance to spell first" Lockhart smiled
"well..he isn't lying..he did give the me the chance to start' Y/n thought and was about to thank Lockhart when he
"It was really obvious that you were to spell something like that..I didn't say the counter-curse just to let you know that you can duel"Â He grinned
'Really????Just when I thought he was genuine..' Y/n looked at him in sudden disbelief expression.
"If I did that..it would look too easy" Lockhart smiled smugly
"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor" Snape smiled at him darkly
"An excellent suggestion, Professor Snape..Let's have a volunteer pair. Potter, Weasley, How about you?" Lockhart called them. Harry begun to walk towards the stage stairs. Ron was about to follow, when
"Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox" Snape said. Ron looked embarrassed.
"Might I suggest someone from my own house????Malfoy perhaps???" Snape suggested and signed Malfoy to come up the stage. Y/n walked away from the middle of the stage. She saw Harry looking at her as he walked closer to her. He looked slight nervous. It might be hard for others to see it. But Y/n saw right through him.
When they were passed eachother, Y/n whispered something to Harry that made him grin. He confidently walked towards the middle and in front of Malfoy with Y/n's words running through his mind.
