3rd Person's POV
The next day, everyone was talking about what happened last night, The Great Hall was full of whispers when Y/n entered for breakfast. She had practiced Quidditch for whole day yesterday. Jake hadn't talked with her yet. He wanted to, but he was still little upset that she didn't trust him enough to tell him everything.
Y/n took seat between Jake and Hermione. Jake passed a filled plate to Y/n. He always did that. He never let Y/n serve for herself. It was one of the things Y/n liked about him and currently it was annoying the hell out of her.
"How long are you going to ignore me???" Y/n said loudly earning few attention around them but Jake didn't even glance at Y/n. Fred and George looked at Jake telling him to talk with her.
"See??? You're not even looking at me now!!If you are so mad then why are you still caring about me??? You always fill my plate with my favourite food and you still are doing that----wait" Y/n looked at her plate observing what Jake actually did. She looked at him with open mouth "These are not the food I like.....this is what I hate"Â Â Y/n kept looking at Jake with disbelief
"You deserve it....If You want my forgiveness.....Eat that" Jake sipped orange juice
"Jake"
"Its Broccoli"
"You filled my WITH BROCCOLI??!!! Why would you do this??? you know I get sick when I eat this thing..this won't be going down my throat..it will stuck!" Y/n ranted. Her friends were trying to stifle their laugh, they knew what Jake was planning.
"It won't stuck....I got you a special stew for it" Jake pointed a bowl near Y/n's plate
"Really??? What stew it is of??? It has different color" Y/n sniffed the soup inside and started drinking it.
"It is made of Broccoli" Jake said and Y/n spitted the mouthful soup as soon as she heard what she was drinking.
"Y/N!!!!" Hermione said loudly when her friend spitted stew on her. Y/n quickly pulled her Magical Handkerchief and threw it to Hermione while drinking juice to change the taste.
"Have you really gone crazy?? Why would you make your sister eat that??" Y/n said disgustedly. When Jake heard Y/n call herself his sister, he fought hard to hide his smile and said
"It's punishment for you...If we were back at Mansion. I would have taken all the Mangas you have..but we since aren't there---" He stopped when Y/n gasped
"You did not just say that!! You really are that angry at me that you would take my Manga away from me?" Y/n gasped lightly again and Jake nodded
"If I don't eat this..will you do it?" Y/n asked and Jake nodded again. Y/n looked at her plate and then Jake and turned to look at Oliver Wood who was watching her now.
"Wood....If I get sick.....make Jake play twice for my replacement." Y/n said to Wood who looked confused. Y/n grabbed the spoon. And in few seconds, Y/n managed to eat all of the Broccoli her 'saint' brother made her eat in order to forgive her. Everyone started at her, Almost everyone knew How much Y/n hated Broccoli.
When she was done eating she quickly grabbed the Jake's goblet and drank the orange juice in it. Jake started at her with amusing expression. Harry and Ron were amused too, she ate something she hates for her brother. But Hermione wasn't impressed she was worried for her best friend. She knew Y/n will go through a rough night.
"Am I forgiven???" Y/n raised her eye brow at Jake who smiled at her, nodding. "I'll tell you everything later...and there's something I wanted to ask you too" Y/n whispered.
"We'll talk later at night" Jake said passing a slice of cake to Jake. She looked at him "What???you believe I'll make you eat Broccoli and don't give anything sweet to you???" Jake smirked. Y/n took the plate hiding her smile
Time Skip
After the breakfast, everyone went to their classes. It was going good, but Hermione and Y/n had something else in their mind.
"I'll ask Professor McGonagall about the Chamber of the Secrets." Hermione whispered to Y/n stirring her Potion. Y/n smiled a little without looking at Hermione. After the class they went to transfiguration. Ron and Harry took seat beside Hermione's and Y/n's seat.
"Could I have your attention please?" McGonagall asked the class. "Right. Now, today, we will be transforming animals.....into water goblets." She saw the impressed look the second years gave her.
"Like so, One, two, three, Vera Verto" She tapped the bird three times and chanted and with a light flash the bird turned into a beautiful glass goblet. The class looked at it amazed.
"Now its your turn. Who would like to first?...Ah...Mr. Weasley" She walked towards him. "One, two, three, Vera Verto" She guided him and Ron nodded.
He cleared his throat and tapped his rat three times "Vera Verto!" He said. but instead of turning into a goblet his rat stopped midway turning him to goblet with rat skin and tail. Many of them laughed. Hermione looked at Y/n asking if she should ask now. Y/n nodded.
"That wand needs replacement. Mr. Weasley" McGonagall said and Hermione raised her hand taking the chance. "Yes, Ms. Granger?" McGonagall looked at her.
"Professor....I was wondering if you could tell us about ...the Chamber of Secrets" Hermione asked.
Professor McGonagall was taken aback with the question but decided to answer when she saw the class looking at her curiously.She signed.
"Very well.....You all know, of course that Hogwarts was founded over a thousands years ago...by the four greatest Witches and Wizards of the age...Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin...Now three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. One did not." Professor said to the class
"Three guesses who" Ron smirked at Harry knowing the answer very well. McGonagall gave him a look telling him he is right.
"Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. In other words.." McGonagall.
"Pure-bloods" Y/n said signing looking at Hermione. She caught the look Draco was giving Hermione. She slightly glared at him but looked away when Professor continued nodding at her guess.
"Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school. Now according to the legend...Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle known as Chamber of Secrets. Though shortly before he departing, he sealed it..until that time when his own true heir returned to the school. The Heir alone would be able to open the Chamber..and unleash the horror within and by so doing purge the school of all those who- in Slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic" McGonagall continued.
"Muggle-borns." Hermione said looking sad. Y/n patted her hand, smiling comfortingly at Hermione. McGonagall gave Hermione an approval nod.
"Well, Naturally, the school has been searched many times. No such chamber has been found." McGonagall completed. But Hermione interrupted again.
"Professor, What exactly does legend tell us lies within the chamber??" Hermione asked again. Professor McGonagall was about to answer but someone interrupted her.
"The Chamber is said to be home to something that only the Heir of Slytherin can control..It is said to be the home....of a monster." Y/n unconsciously answered the question. After completing she looked at McGonagall to see that she is staring at her, off-guarded. Y/n turned to look at her classmates who were too staring at her but with suspicious look,except her friends who looked confused.
No one knew how Y/n knows about the legend no one has barely had ever heard of. No one knew why Y/n knows about it. Y/n looked down at Haru, hiding her gaze from the class. But instead of Y/n, Ron looked at Draco.
The class after that was quite, except mostly everyone were glancing at Y/n. She tried her best to ignore them.
After the class, students went to lunch. Y/n and her friends were on the way. when they showered Y/n with questions.
"How did you know about it?" Harry asked her walking beside her.
"....Uncle Eric told me...months ago." Y/n answered.
"If you knew...why did you make me ask Professor McGonagall...you could've told me" Hermione ranted beside Y/n.
"I didn't knew what way I should tell you...plus because of professor, everyone knows about to it now." Y/n replied right away.
"You didn't knew what way you could tell her??? It didn't seem like that when you answered back in class." Harry smiled teasing at Y/n. She glared at him.
"Do you think it's true??? Do you think there really is a Chamber of secrets?" Ron asked changing the subject.
"Yes" Said both of the girls.
"Couldn't you tell? McGonagall's worried. All the teachers are." Hermione told him
"If there really is a Chamber of Secrets, and it really has been opened, that means--" Harry guessed out loud.
"The Heir of Slytherin has returned to Hogwarts. The question is, who is it?" Hermione completed his sentence.
"Let's think. Who do we know who thinks all Muggle-borns are scum?" Ron sarcastically wondered glancing at Draco who was passing by.
"If you're talking about of Malfoy--" Hermione got interrupted by Ron.
"Of course!!! You heard him....'You'll be next Mud-bloods' .." Ron mimicked Draco making Y/n chuckle.
"I heard him...But Malfoy, the Heir of Slytherin?" Hermione chuckled lightly
"maybe Ron's right. I mean, look at his family..The whole lot of them have been in Slytherin for centuries" Harry said getting the idea same as Ron
"Malfoy can't be the heir of Slytherin." Y/n chuckled
"Why not?" Ron asked her
"Didn't you read the message on the wall??? It said that 'the Heir of Slytherin has arrived' ...it means the Heir just arrived this year." Y/n told them
"You think it's a first year?" Hermione asked
"It has to be a first year!!! think about it...if Malfoy was Heir of Slytherin then, he could've opened the chamber last year..why would he wait a whole year if he hates muggles so much??" Y/n said to them
"That could be right...But..we weren't at the sorting ceremony. we don't know which first it could be in Slytherin." Harry said
"Hermione, did you notice any remarkable names at sorting?" Ron asked Hermione.
"No...I was worried about you three...I didn't pay attention to that" Hermione said looking guilty.
"Now, how would we know which first year Slytherin it is!!" Ron said and Y/n groaned a little.
"Why do I feel like you know something" Harry looked at Y/n and she stopped in her tracks making her friends do the same.
"Its just guessing...I don't think the one who's done that has to be in Slytherin." She said making her friends ask 'what?' . "Of course!!! Sometimes the Sorting hat sorts the students in another house different as their parents...So it could be anyone..not just Slytherins" Y/n explained them. Hermione and Harry looked convinced but Ron did not.
"Who else it could be???!!! You know how Slytherins are!!" Ron said to Y/n.
"Not all Slytherin are evil, Ron" Y/n said in a straight voice.
"Name one Slytherin that was good" Ron scoffed
"I can name two" Y/n spat back
"Really??? Who?" Ron asked her
"Merlin"Â Y/n said right away.
"That was random word play!!....name another one" Ron argued again.
"Okay...Uncle Eric" Y/n replied again.
"He's a Slytherin!!!!?????" Hermione asked surprised
"Yes!!! And You all know that he is big ball of kindness.....that proves that not All Slytherins are bad" Y/n said looking at Ron. He was thinking of an answer.
"But....Malfoy's got to know something" Ron suggested.
"That.....could be right" Y/n agreed making Ron smile. They started walking.
"If he does...he'll tell everyone he knows about it...he is the type to show-off" Harry told them
"Maybe Crabbe and Goyle must know something..Maybe we could trick them into telling" Ron suggested
"Even they aren't that thick. But there might be another way. Mind you, it would be difficult, not to mention we'd be breaking about 50 school rules" Hermione said
"Breaking the rules???um..that doesn't sound unfamiliar because that's all we did last year!!" Y/n said sarcastically. Hermione glared at her while Harry and Ron smiled agreeing with Y/n.
"It will be dangerous. Very dangerous" Hermione said not bothering to reply Y/n.
"Hermione, Are you talking about--you know" Y/n smirked
"Yes" Hermione nodded.
Harry and Ron followed the girls to the Library. Hermione went to get the book while Y/n stayed with the boys.
"What were you two talking about???" Harry asked Y/n
"You'll know soon...all I can tell is.....It might be our only way." Y/n replied. Just then Hermione came towards them flipping pages of a book.
"Here it is...The Polyjuice Potion...properly brewed, the Polyjuice potion allows the drinker to transform himself temporarily into the physical form of another" Hermione read aloud but not too loud.
"You mean if Harry and I drink that stuff, we'll turn into Crabbe and Goyle??" Ron asked
"Yes" said the girls in Unison making the boys surprise
"Wicked! Malfoy will tell us anything" Ron said excitedly
"Exactly.. But its tricky" Hermione said looking at Y/n
"We've never a more complicated potion" Y/n said
"Complicated??? You two are the top students...you can make it together..Its going be a piece of pumpkin pie if you are making it" Ron encouraged them.
"Thanks, Ron" the girls beamed at him.
"How long will it take to make?" Harry asked
"A month" Said the girls together
"A month?? But..if there really is a Heir is Slytherin out there...They could attack half the Muggle-borns in the school by then" Harry said to them. Y/n was flustered and Happy at the same time that Harry didn't mention Draco at all.
'Don't smile....It is a serious moment' Y/n thought fighting her ownself trying not to smile
"I know" Hermione said
"But its the only plan we've got" Y/n completed.
"There's one more problem.. How will we get the ingredients?" Hermione wondered. Ron and Y/n looked at each other thinking the same thing. they looked at Hermione.
"We could steal from Snape" They said in unison making Harry and Hermione shocked
"Are you mad??? steal from a professor and Snape out of all" Hermione disagreed
"Do you have anything other plan??" Y/n asked
"No" Hermione replied
"Its all we can do right now" Ron said.
"Fine!!" Hermione agreed
....
After that, Y/n, Harry, Ron and Hermione took the rest of their class and after dinner. they left Y/n in the Gryffindor common room to clear the misunderstanding with Jake.
"Listen Jake, telling you would everything right away would directly putting you in danger.. and the person behind..very, very dangerous..but I promised I'll tell beforehand if I plan on doing something." Y/n said
Jake signed "fine.....don't forget to tell me before you put yourself in danger...and there's one more thing I wanted to tell you"
"What?" Y/n asked
"That we're half-bloods...Mom was a Muggle-born...that makes us Half-bloods.. You don't have to be afraid of whatever is out there...okay?" Jake patted Y/n head she smiled nodding. Jake smiled smiled back but it turn into frown in few seconds
"There's one more thing I heard" Jake said with slight anger voice
'what's with the change of his attitude?' Y/n thought sitting straight
"I heard that...you knew what is in the Chamber of Secrets" Jake said in stern voice
"I know everything that's going to happen in the future, Jake.....you know that" Y/n replied sarcastically
"Not that!!!! Everyone's saying that you interrupted McGonagall when she was telling you all about the Chamber of Secrets...that you know what's on the leash... what is this all about???why would say that in front of everyone?" Jake asked her
"I watched the movie 394 times...what do you expect???? I said before I could stop myself" Y/n said like it was obvious
"But still...everyone's having a doubt that it might be you" Jake said
"I have a Muggle-born best friend, Jake....if they think that...they're stupid as a troll" Y/n said and Jake chuckled. "I got to go...we have match tomorrow...G'Night" Y/n stood up and walked away.
"Hey" Jake called for her. she turned to look at him.
"Play nicely...good luck"
Y/n smiled "You too"
