1st person's POV
The news of Harry and I joining the team was what everyone was talking about. Every once in a while, someone would come and congratulate us. I was tired of saying 'thank you'
When we shared it to Ron, He was in cloud9
"Seeker and Chaser????But 1st years never make the house teams. You two must be the youngest players in" Ron said but Harry continued for him
"A century, according to McGonagall" Harry said happily
"hey, well done Harry and Y/n. Wood just told us." Fred said joining us I looked around and Jake was with them too
"We just got lucky" I said smiling
"Fred and George are on the team too...Beaters" Ron said
"Your brother is on the team too" George said behind.
"Really????? What are you??? wait no-- that doesn't matter.... Why did you never told me?" I slightly yelled at him
"I never knew you would turn out to be a player... and I am chaser too... We can teach you two if you want" Jake asked us
"That won't be needed... Wood said he would teach us himself" i said to them
"What? he never does that..... he never even taught us" Jake said
"Maybe he just cares about them... they are youngest players after all" Ron said
"Or maybe he wants impress and get close to someone's sister" Fred said playfully patting Jake's shoulder. I looked at him with wide eyes
"What?? If that's true, then I going to murder him for sure" Jake said furiously making me chuckle
"What does beaters do ?" Harry asked like he was changing the topic
"Oh. Our job is to make sure that you two and others don't get bloodied up too bad. Can't make any promises, of course.. Rough game Quidditch." George said
"Brutal.. but no one's died in years..someone vanishes occasionally" Fred said
"But they'll turn up in a month or two" they said walking away
"That is not a good way to introduce the game to new players!" Jake said loudly following them "see you later, Honey"
" Now I am worried" I said actually getting scared
"Don't be Y/n.. Go on you two. Quidditch is great. Best game there is, and both of you'll be great too" Ron comforted us
"How can you say that??? We never played" I said looking at Hermione who just joined us ,beside me
"She is right....What if we make a fool of ourselves" Harry said getting insecure
"You two won't make a fool of yourself.. It's in your Blood.... both of your blood" Hermione said confidently.
We followed her to trophy case and when we did she pointed at shield that showed the best players of Gryffindor team. In the seeker section we saw 'James Potter' engraved in it.
"Harry... you never told us your father was a seeker too..." Ron said in awe
"I.. didn't know" Harry said smiling sadly I patted his back
"Wait....Hermione... you said it was in.. both of our blood... How??" I asked she smiled and pointed to chaser section. I looked at it couldn't believe my eyes it was him "Suho Kim' was engraved in it. I smiled..
"I never knew" I whispered
"Oh look.... It has McGonagall's name as well" Ron said
"You are right" Harry gasped
"she must've been a player herself" Hermione said smiling
We were looking at other player's name. I looked over Slytherin shield. I almost gasped When I saw 'Eric Kim' in the Keeper section. It made me curious. I pushed the others slightly to see Ravenclaw shield. They looked at me curiously. I chuckled lightly when I saw her name in Seeker section as well.
"Is there something wrong??" Harry asked
"It says Irene Bae here..... She is...my... M-mom" I still hesitated
"That's means your whole family is Quidditch's best players... You are going to be great too..." Ron said encouraging me. I smiled and nodded at him
Now, we were going back to our dorms now. Ron was telling us that we shouldn't be around Hermione
"i'm telling you.. Its spooky. She knows more about you two then you do" Ron said
"who doesn't" Harry and I said in unison. just then the staircase started moving.
"What's happening?" harry yelled
"The staircase changes, remember?" Hermione said
"lets go this way" Harry said walking
"Before the staircase moves again" Ron said following him
'Should we go there or not??' eventhough I thought it, I still followed them.
Harry opened the door and we entered in the dark room
"Does anybody feel like we shouldn't be here?" Ron asked
"We are not supposed to be here" I corrected him
"This is the third floor. Its forbidden" Hermione continued
Just then, a lamp got lighten making us scared
"Let's go" Harry stepped back, bumping into me. When we turned we heard at cat's 'meow'
'This damn cat!!' I thought getting annoyed
"Its Flich's cat" Hermione gasped
"Run" Harry yelled taking my hand and he started running dragging me along
We kept running making all the lamps light up
"Quick, Let's hide through that door!" Harry said to everyone while running. When we reached, he let my hand go and started to open the door. others joined us and I looked back to see if someone was following us.
"Its locked" Harry grunted
"That's it...... We're done for" Ron whimpered looking back with me
"oh.. move over!!!" Hermione said pushing Harry. she took out her wand
"Alohomora" She said opening the door
"get in" She said and Harry & Ron let me go first.
"Alohomora?" Ron asked Hermione
" 'Standard Book of spells, Chapter seven"Â Hermione Explained Ron while I turned looked at it. He was sleeping peacefully. I tugged Harry's sleeves and dragged him front, making him look too.
"Flich is gone" Hermione announced
"He thinks this door's locked" Ron replied her.
"It was locked" She said
"And for a good reason" Harry and I said in unison. Harry was scared, I was smirking shamelessly.
The three-headed dogs got up yawning. But they growled when they saw us. We screamed together and ran back outside. We pushed the door together and i locked it when I got the chance. We all directly ran to Gryffindor Common Room.
"What are they doing??keeping a thing like that locked up in a school" Ron said Panting
You don't use your eyes, do you?" Hermione asked him also panting. "Didn't you see what it was standing on?"
"I wasn't looking at its feet, I was bit preoccupied with its head" Ron said walking up to stairs with us following
"Or maybe, you didn't noticed.. There were three!" Ron said
"It was standing on a trapdoor!!" I said stopping their arguments
"yes!, which means It wasn't there by accident" Hermione said furiously
"Its guarding something" Hermione and I said in Unison
"Guarding something?" Harry asked looking at me
"That's right.. Now, if you two don't mind,We are going to bed... before either of you two come up with clever idea to get us killed... or worse, expelled" She said taking my hand dragging me. I awkwardly said 'good night' to Harry and Ron, letting Hermione drag me with her
'Why is everyone dragging me?' I thought
"Why do you hang around with them???? For me, they are nothing but trouble makers!" Hermione said when we entered our dorm
"Um.. they are the first people here, who I made my friends?" I replied her sitting on my bed
"But.. now you can let them go.... You can make new friends..." Hermione said taking her night-dress with her into the bathroom. I signed and smiled at her current thoughts about them. but then I heard a tap on the window. i turned to look
"Suri???" I said letting her in, she carried a paper. I opened it
"Come downstairs to common room... I need to talk to you about something                                                                                      - Jake"
"What does he wants to talk now?" I whispered taking my night-dress. I got freshed and went downstairs with Suri following me. And just when took the last step someone dragged me to a corner. I looked at the person, It was Jake
'What's with people dragging me!!!????' I thought and just then Jake stopped and begun
"Now tell me.. how did you end up in the team???" He asked me strictly
"You called me here.. in middle of mid-night.. TO ASK ME THAT??" I asked him
"Of course!! I wanted to ask you right away... but I couldn't get any time to do so... plus do you know how many Oliver Wood looked at first years then the gate?" He said furiously taking a seat on couch
"why were you watching him?" I asked sitting next to him
"I couldn't ignore what Fred said...... I mean... anyone would want to impress you..." Jake said insecurely
"shouldn't I be the one to be insecure???? Don't worry... Its not like He would impress me.... I got more things to do" I chuckled
"Like skipping the dinner??" he asked
"Wait.... this is what you wanted to talk about, isn't it?" I asked me
"Well.. why not??? You were not there.... Potter and your other friends weren't there either... I have a right to ask" He said folding his arms
"we were here..... Harry and I are really nervous about us joining the team..We barely know anything about the game, So Hermione and Ron were helping us.. to understand the game" I lied. He looked at me suspiciously
"You want to believe that?? You are the girl who knows ..the future of our world..... I find it hard to believe that you don't know what the game is about" He glared at me slightly. I just gulped and he signed
"Do you know what you are doing?" He asked and i nodded my head "Then that's it... Just keep yourself safe... We can't lose the only daughter of whole Kim family" He smiled and that's when I remembered
"oh yeah.. I wanted to ask you something.... While we were at our flying class.. Neville got hurt, so Professor took him to Hospital wing... And after that Malfoy took Neville's belonging, that made Harry angry. and that led them to fly with their brooms... And Malfoy said something that triggered me... and before I knew.. I was on my broom as well.... catching the remembrall with Harry... I believe Professor McGonagall saw us that time... and that's how We got into the team" I explained
"oh... What exactly did Malfoy say... that triggered you??" He asked. I tried to recall
"He said 'Why don't you come up Kim. worried you'll fall' or something like that" I said being unsure but Jake grunted
"I knew this is going to happen.. but I never knew it would be this soon" Jake grunted
"what will happen?" I asked him
"The Potion, Y/n...... the powers is something All the Kims had in them .. You can consider it as our DNA.... you have potion running in your blood.. that means you have Kim DNA mixed in your blood... You are officially a Kim now.... and somehow we Kims always get angry when someone makes fun of our family... Malfoy called you Kim and indirectly told you that you will fall..... that can trigger anyone if you ask me....... Uncle told me a long time ago about this.. We thought we'll tell you after you do something any of the Kim did.. but this was unexpected" He smiled
"So... I am a Kim now??" I whispered
"You were since the day you took the first bite of chocolate shortcake.... And that makes the first daughter of Kim Family... we really have a good reason to protect you" He smiled stroking my hair and I smiled
"Where did you learned about 'DNA'???" I asked him smiling
"Oh.. Today in my Muggle studies class.... Oh you lived like a Muggle in your world didn't you?" He asked me and I nodded crossing my eyebrows
"Then ,can you help me with my homework regarding Muggles???" He asked me with puppy eyes
"don't give me that look..... and fine.. I will help you" I signed looking away
Time skip Next Day
It was Saturday. Everyone was doing their homework. While Harry And I skipped that were with Wood. He was going to teach us today. Harry and Wood were carrying the big box with balls in it, while I had the baseball bat with me.
"Quidditch is easy enough to understand. Each team has seven players. 3 Chasers, That's you" He pointed at me while walking "2 beaters, 1 keeper and 1 seeker, that's you" He said to Harry putting the box. and went to open it.He took a red ball and looked at Us
"There are three kinds of balls. This one's called a Quaffle" He said passing the ball to Harry
"The Chaser, That's you" he said to me "handle the Quaffle and try it through one of those three hoops.." He said showing us the Ground
"The Keeper, that's me" He smiled at me "Defends the hoops" He looked at me then Harry "with me so far?" He asked us
"Pretty much" "I think so" Me and Harry said in Unison while Harry passed the Quaffle to Wood
"You're a good teacher" I smiled at Wood, he smiled back
"What are those?" Harry asked pointing at black balls
"You better grip it tight" He said to me and went to open the ball
'wait, no... that's not why I took the bat-' My thoughts were already broken when the ball flew up. I griped tighter and was ready to hit
"Careful now, its coming back" He said
"I take my words back!!!!!" I yelled hitting the ball hard. It surprisingly flew away.
"Not bad, Kim. You'd make a fair Beater" He smiled at me as I smiled back
"Uh-oh" He said getting ready to catch. Harry grabbed my arm and dragged me away from that ball.
"Thank you" I smiled, he nodded back. we looked at Wood. He kept the ball back into its cage
"What was that?" Harry asked again smiling
"It is Bludger... right??" I asked Wood
"Yes....nasty little buggers. But you are a seeker" He pointed Harry and took out the golden ball
"The only thing I want to worry about is this.....The Golden Snitch" He said giving the ball to Harry
"I like this ball" Harry said smiling
"You like it now...Just wait, it wicked fast and damn near impossible to see" He taught us
"What do I do with it?" Harry Asked him
"You catch it" I said smiling. Wood nodded at me
"Before the other team's seeker... You catch this, the game's over" Wood said smiling at the thought of winning
"You catch this, Potter" He continued
"And we win" He and I said unison. and we said it the snitch started flying. and it was surprise for me that I could follow and easily look where the ball was going, just like Harry. But Wood was having little problem to find it
"It's not that hard to find" I said
"It really isn't" Harry said smiling
"It is because you two have blood of Quidditch players in you.... It will be impossible for others to see it" Wood explained us
After that, Wood trained us how to fly properly on our broomsticks. He taught us few tricks he knew and we were just doing 'Catch and throw' while flying. It sounds childish but it was very hard to keep balance. But the more we played the more fun it got and after a while, we actually learnt how do it . Both of us were flying better so next day Wood took us to Quidditch ground. He was really annoyed that he kept missing the balls I threw into the hoops he guarded. But everytime, He smirked when he missed one
"Why do you always smirk when you miss the ball I throw??" I asked him curiously and Harry nodded too
"I just try to imagine the face of other team's keepers, if they lose by a first year" He smiled and turned to Harry. "Potter you turn now. Kim can you go and hand me that bag" He said pointing at the bag on the ground. I nodded and went to get it. When I held it, there were alot of golf balls. i squinted my eyes and went back to them
"Golf balls???" I asked Wood
"Yes.. Take half of them and pass it to me" I did as he told me to
"Now Potter.. We will throw these tiny balls at you one by one from different angles.. You try to catch it.. Understand??" He asked and Harry nodded
We threw the balls at Harry from different angles, places and speed. He caught it all perfectly.
"Professor was right.. You two are natural... I can't wait to see the faces of other house's team when they lose the game" He smiled in his whole world
Jake told me last night.. that since everyone in our family were good players.. It will become very natural for me to play it..
'He was right... I seriously feel that I have been playing Quidditch for years..' I thought smiling
Time skip next day
Our classes were going well, Except that Snape kept glaring the Gryffindors once in a while. And the Gryffindors weren't bothered by it at all.
'He always has been like this.. why try hard to impress him instead of ignoring him' they said which Hermione and Percy Weasley disagreed. It didn't matter because today was Halloween.
we were now in our charms class. I was between Harry and Ron. You see I wanted to sit next to Hermione, But Ron disagreed it and said Harry and I shouldn't sit with Hermione and took the seat next to her. And like it wasn't enough so Harry said I shouldn't sit next to Seamus, because he kept blowing things up, Which I agreed right away
"One of the wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation or the ability to make objects fly" He smiled
"Do you have your feathers?? Good.... Now don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The swish and flick, Everyone" He told us to follow. we took our wands and followed him
"The swish and flick." We all said together
"Good. oh, and enunciate....Wingardium Leviosa. Off you go then" he motioned us to to. I was just doing the action without saying the spell.. IÂ was waiting for something iconic. and that's when I heard
"No, stop, stop.stop...You're going to take someone's eye out" Hermione said to Ron. And My ears were up like a dog to hear everything.
"Besides, you're saying it wrong....Its LeviOsa.. not LeviosaR" Hermione corrected him
'There it is' I smiled to myself
"You do it then, if you're so cleaver. go on, go on" Ron mocked her
She took her wand and confidently said "Wingardium Leviosa" And as she said, her feather was in the air in her control.
"Well done! see here, everyone..Ms. Granger's done it" Professor cheered happily. Ron grunted angrily beside me. I patted his back trying to calm him down. but then
BOOM
"I think were going to need another feather over here, Professor" Harry said as I smiled
I took a deep breath and said
"Wingardium Leviosa"
And as soon I said it... My feather was is the air under my control. The whole class was again amazed. And Professor was happy again. I was waiting so I could change everyone's mood.
'I hope I did change it" I smiled
After class, Ron immediately dragged me away from Hermione. And now was Bad mouthing about her.
'No matter.. how Hermione is.. She doesn't deserve this humiliation' I was getting angry second by second
"It's LeviOsa, not LeviosaR...She's a nightmare, honestly! No wonder she hasn't got any friends" he said angrily. and what made me more mad was Harry and others agreed with him. I was about to say something but Someone bumped against Ron, I looked at the person, It was Hermione
'Damn, I am late' I thought, getting a glimpse of her crying face
"I think she heard you" Harry said making me angrier
before I knew, I lost it within a second and jumped in front of the boys
"No matter however she acts.. she is still a person as well Ron!..... She is not a nightmare, your thoughts are!! I don't think you know, but she is a really good person!! She was trying to help you. she had done it many times already!! but what did you do?? You mocked her, but she still did what you asked her to do... I don't think it matters to you, does it??.. and yes she has friends.. I am one of them...I think I need to sort of My priorities!" I scolded him and glared at Harry for some reason and ran away from them
"HERMIONE!!!!!!!" I called for her while running. I went to every girl's bathroom I knew.. I couldn't find her. But I went into the only bathroom left and as I entered I heard sobs. I signed in relief and went to the bathroom stall she was in.
I knocked slowly. "Hermione.. open the door.. its me" I said softly
"Why are you here???? You heard him.. I am a nightmare.. a.. a smart girl like you shouldn't... shouldn't be around someone like me" She cried harder
"That's not true at all.... You are best the girl I ever knew Hermione...Forget what he said.. i know he didn't mean it" I said trying to comfort her
"No.. he was right.... that's how I am... and that is why I have no friends" she sobbed
"What do you think I am??? A Potato???" I said and she chuckled between her sobs
'It worked' i smiled and continued
"Listen Hermione.... You don't need to change yourself for someone... If they truly like you then they'll be your friend and respect you for the way you are...just like I do"Â I said. there was a pause in the moment, everything was quite and just then the door opened and she jumped on me, hugging me tightly. I laughed and hugged her back
"You don't how lucky I feel to have you as my friend" She sobbed happily
"You don't know how lucky I feel to know that you are my friend" I said and she sobbed harder
"Shhh Hermione.. Its all okay now" I said patting her back letting her cry on my shoulder
Time skip
Charms was our last class before lunch. and I'm here with Hermione since then. After crying for- I think 2 hours, she fell asleep.. I let her sleep... because she did hear something that could hurt any grown up person. Beside She is still 11.
But!!! the thing is she had slept for long time now. I looked at my shoulder she was sleeping peacefully
'Of course.. she is peaceful.. she doesn't know what's coming.... But I do'
I was getting scared the more time passed. there was all quite outside so.. I assumed the feast was started.. that means that troll will come any minute now. I didn't knew I shivered that made Hermione wake up. Her eyes were all red
"Rise and shine" I smiled at her and she smiled back
"Okay!!!! Now we need to get out of here" I said quickly getting up dragging her as well
"I think you are right.. But let me wash my face first" she said and went to basin
'oh come on now' I grunted silently and she came back wiping her face with handkerchief
"Hermione.. let's just get out as fast as we can" I pleaded her
"Where do you want to go this badly?" she asked me
'Any place would be better than here... we need to get away'
"To great hall... today is Halloween.. there must be a feast and I am hungry" I said quickly
"Hungry?" She chuckled
"Yes.. Hungry.. We have been here for a long time.. and all we had today is the breakfast we ate... so I think we sho----" I stopped mid sentence when Hermione gasped and there was big shadow hovering above us. I looked back and regretted it immediately.
It was Huge Green Troll glaring at us
'Too late Y/n' I gulped

so one more chapter here... I really thought that Y/n should have a soft moment with Hermione, Do you think the same
